Chapter 80 - The White Elephant Elite Four Playing Favorites?

Victor Stone: My Son Is Not Yours to Discipline!**

Yes—

the one who moved was Hatterene, Ethan's Hatterene.

Under normal circumstances, Hatterene was gentle by nature, even fond of social interaction.

But that was only when things stayed normal.

The moment someone showed disrespect toward Ethan—or revealed hostile intent—

Hatterene would instantly transform into a true witch of the wild.

The White Elephant youth's earlier sarcasm might not have bothered Ethan much.

But Hatterene?

She was furious.

She had leapt straight out of her Poké Ball, intent on seeing just how capable this loud-mouthed brat really was.

The instant her psychic blade touched his skin, the youth froze.

Cold sweat poured down his forehead.

His body trembled uncontrollably.

He was genuinely terrified.

Because he could clearly feel it—

As long as Hatterene twitched even slightly, he would die on the spot.

At that moment, Ethan finally spoke.

"Hatterene. Enough."

A Pokémon attacking a human was an extremely serious matter in the human world.

Even with Ethan's status, such an incident would cause massive trouble back in the Donghuang League—

let alone here, on White Elephant Alliance soil.

Hatterene snorted coldly, shot the youth a final contemptuous look, and withdrew her psychic energy.

The pressure vanished.

The youth collapsed backward, gasping for air as though he'd just survived an execution.

But fear quickly turned into humiliation.

Seeing Aurora's openly disgusted expression—and sensing the eyes around him—

rage surged through his brain.

Whether it was stupidity, shortsighted arrogance common among certain White Elephant elites, or pure anger—

The youth lost his mind.

He whipped out a Poké Ball and shouted in White Elephant tongue:

"Salazzle! Flamethrower—burn these arrogant bastards!"

A Commander-tier Salazzle appeared instantly.

Flames roared.

A torrent of fire shot straight toward Ethan and Hatterene.

Aurora's pupils shrank.

"Ethan—watch out!"

Too late.

Hatterene had already reacted.

Now at King-tier, she didn't even bother turning around at first.

Her gaze remained locked on the enraged youth.

You were spared… and you still dare attack?

That was the final straw.

Psychic energy erupted once more—

far more violent than before.

In an instant, Hatterene's ribbon-like feelers fused into a ten-meter-long psychic greatsword.

Psyblade—fully unleashed.

The incoming flames were cleaved apart like mist.

BOOM!

The blade slammed down.

Salazzle was smashed into the arena floor, completely unconscious.

The entire exchange took less than three seconds.

Before the youth could even process what happened—

The psychic greatsword stopped inches from his forehead.

No physical injury.

But the psychic shockwave alone was enough.

His vision went black.

He collapsed on the spot.

Silence.

Aurora stared, pale.

"E-Ethan…"

"He… he's not dead, right?"

Ethan replied calmly.

"He's alive."

"Hatterene's psychic backlash temporarily shut down his brain functions."

"He'll wake up in a few minutes."

Ethan was actually quite satisfied with how Hatterene handled it.

Firm.

Precise.

And restrained.

He gently patted her cheek.

"Alright, alright. Don't stay angry."

"He's not worth it."

"Come on—this hotel's desserts are supposed to be excellent."

"I'll treat you."

Hatterene puffed her cheeks, clearly still annoyed, but her mood softened.

Nearby, Noibat immediately began flapping excitedly.

Desserts?

Even after devouring fruit earlier, this little glutton had room for more.

Ethan laughed.

"Yes, yes—you get some too."

Noibat instantly calmed down, grinning innocently.

Aurora watched the scene in a daze.

She truly couldn't reconcile this cute, clingy Hatterene

with the terrifying psychic executioner from moments earlier.

The contrast was unreal.

"…You're really different," Aurora murmured.

Ethan turned to her.

"Want to come with us?"

She didn't hesitate.

"I do."

The Retaliation Begins

Not long after Ethan and Aurora left—

The unconscious youth finally staggered awake.

His head throbbed like it had been smashed with a hammer.

When he saw his Salazzle unconscious in a deep crater, his expression twisted with hatred.

"Damn Donghuang trash…"

"I'll make you regret this."

His name was Nirmala.

That alone meant little.

But his father—

Svaraj,

the longest-serving Elite Four member of the White Elephant Alliance.

Twenty-five years in office.

And Nirmala was his most cherished youngest son.

When Svaraj heard that his son had been humiliated—

nearly killed—

He exploded.

Within minutes, White Elephant Alliance security forces swarmed the hotel.

Ethan and Aurora were quickly surrounded in the dessert hall.

Then—

Svaraj arrived.

His presence was heavy, oppressive.

Through the translator, his fury came through clearly.

"Donghuang boy."

"Your Pokémon attacked my son?"

Ethan smiled faintly.

"Attacked?"

"Your son struck first. My Pokémon merely defended."

"Being frightened by retaliation isn't my responsibility."

"Or is this how the White Elephant Alliance treats guests?"

As his words fell—

Hatterene's expression turned cold again.

Psychic pressure burst outward.

Security personnel collapsed instantly, pinned to the floor.

Only Svaraj, Nirmala, the translator, and a Copperajah managed to remain standing.

Svaraj sucked in a sharp breath.

"A King-tier Hatterene…?"

"Who are you?"

Before Ethan answered—

A booming laugh echoed.

"Svaraj! Tried bullying someone and hit steel instead, huh?"

The voice belonged to Donovan Kovsky.

Moments later, Victor Stone stepped forward.

Svaraj sneered.

"So this is Donghuang etiquette?"

Victor didn't answer with words.

A Charizard materialized.

Champion-tier pressure flooded the hall.

Copperajah trembled.

The onlookers went silent.

Victor's voice was cold as steel.

"Svaraj."

"My son is not yours to discipline."

"If you're unhappy—

we can settle it."

"Your favorite kind of battle."

"No limits."
