Ethan suddenly remembered something important.
"You're not allowed to move."
He glanced at Mewtwo.
A trainer battle wasn't suitable for it right now.
Not in its current state.
The killing intent radiating from it was still too heavy. If it joined in, these eleven trainers might not walk away alive.
Mewtwo hesitated… then silently retreated a few steps.
Ethan let out a breath.
"Good. Almost forgot."
Eleven vs One
"Want this Pokémon?" Ethan said calmly.
"Then let's talk with strength."
The opposing squad burst into laughter.
"Kid, do you even understand the situation?"
"There are eleven of us."
"You're alone."
Ethan tilted his head.
"I can count. No need to teach me."
"If you're going to fight, release your Pokémon."
"Or I'm leaving."
The arrogance stung.
One of them stepped forward angrily.
"Fine! Don't blame us later!"
"Come out, Beautifly!"
Beautifly — Overlord-tier.
Ethan glanced at its panel.
Common species.
Mid-tier strength.
That's it?
"You all going one at a time?"
"That's a waste of time."
The insult hit hard.
Within seconds—
Ten more Poké Balls hit the ground.
Eleven Pokémon.
All Overlord-tier.
Ethan's interest visibly dropped.
"You came to capture a Pokémon worth one hundred million…"
"With this lineup?"
Did they not know they were hunting Mewtwo?
The Counter
"Raikou Lion, let's begin."
The once-shiny Shinx had evolved—
Now a fully matured Luxray.
He had nicknamed it "Raikou Lion."
Current tier: Heavenly King-level.
The opposing trainers' expressions shifted instantly.
"Heavenly King?!"
"Attack together!"
Before they could coordinate—
"Thunder Shock."
Blue lightning flashed.
A simple move.
But in Ethan's hands?
Overwhelming.
The electric beam struck Beautifly.
Instant drop.
No second chance.
The trainers stared.
"That was Thunder Shock?!"
"How is it that strong?!"
Ethan smirked.
His Pokémon were trained beyond conventional standards.
Even basic moves carried crushing force under level suppression.
All-In Assault
"Don't let him isolate us!"
"Golem, Earthquake!"
Multiple attacks converged.
Luxray took three hits during evasive retreat.
Minor injuries appeared.
Ethan's eyes sharpened.
"Use the trees."
"Wild Charge."
Electric energy erupted from Luxray's body.
Blue arcs multiplied severalfold.
Four scorch marks burned into the earth beneath its paws.
It roared—
Then vanished.
Tree trunks became springboards.
Each leap sharper than the last.
Angles unpredictable.
The enemy attacks couldn't track it.
Then—
Impact.
Luxray crashed into Golem.
Electric force detonated on contact.
Golem flew.
Collapsed.
But Luxray didn't stop.
One.
Two.
Three.
Eleven impacts total.
By the time the electric aura faded—
Every Pokémon lay defeated.
Two moves.
Thunder Shock.
Wild Charge.
That was it.
Complete wipe.
Retreat
"You'll regret this!"
"Move!"
The trainers recalled their fallen Pokémon and fled.
Not one dared stay.
Ethan whistled lightly.
"Back, Luxray."
He examined the minor wounds.
Normally, he would heal immediately.
But Hatterene had already exhausted herself treating Mewtwo.
So—
He took out a gem.
Electric Gem — Top-tier quality.
"For you."
Luxray bit down.
Crunch.
Energy surged through its body.
Its eyes gleamed brighter.
Ethan smiled.
"My Pokémon don't suffer losses."
Behind him—
Mewtwo had witnessed everything.
No interference.
No betrayal.
Just—
Protection.
For the first time—
Its gaze toward Ethan changed.
Slightly.
Not trust.
But…
Consideration.
