Ohm pulled me back to the couch. "We'll sort it one day at a time. You're safe here. That's what matters right now. No more yelling. No more stress."
But inside my chest everything was a storm. Part of me wanted to cry until I had no tears left. Another part wanted to yell at both of them for keeping secrets. Mostly I was scared. Really scared deep down. What if Ohm was lying to keep me here? What if Titi was just going along with it because she felt bad? Or what if Si Woo really lied the whole time and played dad to a baby that was not his? My hands would not stop shaking.
I sat there picking at the edge of the blanket Ohm gave me. "I don't know who to believe. You look trustworthy Ohm. You came running back. You canceled your big chance. Si Woo just yelled and called people trash. But what if this is all wrong? What if I just ran from the real one?"
