"Maki?"
While Mai was busy leading everyone to clean up the mess that came from his fight with Gojo, Maki stayed with him.
Why did Mai let Maki stay with him?
It was because Maki was strong.
Unlike Mai, who still hadn't mastered her Construction Sorcery, Maki's Heavenly Restriction was simple, and that was to make her body strong, so Maki was a perfect bodyguard.
While Suzuki might have hidden it well, it was impossible for his fight not to take a toll on his body. He was at his weakest moment, and, naturally, Maki was the best person to protect him from the danger.
"...I don't think it is good for me to lie down like this."
Suzuki was a man, after all, so of course, his body was affected by the softness that he felt on the back of his head. Yet, inwardly, he wondered why, even if he was so exhausted, his body still reacted in a way that a normal man would.
Was it the result of almost dying?
Suzuki knew that his words might seem exaggerated. Yet, unlike the others, who thought of Gojo as a joke-like character, he had been tense all the time, thinking that he might die any moment, especially when Gojo really released the Unlimited Void.
While Gojo wouldn't kill him, as Suzuki had shown Gojo mercy so many times during their previous fights, which probably Gojo wouldn't see as a mercy, as Gojo had never thought that Suzuki would show him mercy, as Gojo was the strongest and all, the thought of being an idiot for the rest of his life frightened him.
'If I don't have the Manager...'
If he didn't, then Suzuki knew that he would be in a worse situation than death.
He would be lying if he didn't hate Gojo, yet this was the difference between him and the native of this world.
The Jujutsu Sorcerers were used to kill people, but Suzuki wasn't at all, and frankly, he didn't like to kill people, despite having done it in the past, as it was a job.
Yup, a job.
To kill people, as it was also the job of the Jujutsu Sorcerers, but those people were criminals, the Cursed Users, those who used cursed for criminal acts.
However, Suzuki also knew that if those people didn't exist, then Jujutsu Sorcery wouldn't make money.
It was because there was a problem that people needed them to clean up the mess.
Still, Suzuki also knew that, because of that, he wished to create an environment where everyone, especially future generations, or maybe his future children, could live in a way that they did not need to kill people to live.
How did he do that?
The first was changing the perception of the Jujutsu Sorcerers in the eyes of the majority, first in the eyes of everyone, including governments, as nothing but a group of freaks. They were alienated and being told they were weirdos, and the only way for them to live was to embark on dangerous jobs, where the payment was minimal.
The strong might be paid a lot of money, but the weak?
The weak were desperate to pay their bills, even though Suzuki had to say that for one to be born as a sorcerer meant that they were special, as the total population of those who held this power was less than one percent.
Yet, despite being special, they were treated like outcasts, those who should be put away from society, which gave them no means to survive except by doing a dangerous job.
This was why he thought of making money for his family, since if they had a family, they had a choice.
Some might become bakers, tailors, teachers, and many other things.
Suzuki wanted them to live in a way that would make them who they could become, but he knew well that his views would be seen as radical, and Gojo, this guy, didn't know how the weak felt.
Knowing Gojo, Suzuki knew that Gojo would turn those who had caused him trouble into brain-dead.
Still, Suzuki knew that his path wouldn't be easy, and his earlier battle with Gojo was the result of challenging the status quo. Yet, he had never expected to encounter this romance comedy or an erotic-like development.
Maki's body might feel good, but even so, he knew that it wasn't appropriate for him to lie down like this, taking advantage of her due to his weakness, yet as he was about to rise, her hands clung onto him, making their bodies even more dangerously close.
"Maki...?"
"Just rest, okay? You are tired. I know I can't be much help to you, but... I am here if you need my support."
"Maki..."
Suzuki looked at Maki, thinking of the young woman that he needed to protect all the time, who had grown up somehow, yet at the same time, he also understood why Maki had been training hard after she regained her full potential, gaining full access to her talent that was born from the Heavenly Restriction.
"Thank you. The fact that you are here and watching me is good enough, but you are a charming woman, after all. If it isn't that good, if we are too close like this."
Yet, those words seemed to flip something within Maki's mind.
"...do you think I am charming, Nii-san?"
"Aren't you?" Suzuki looked at Maki strangely. Even in the original, when wounds and other scars marred her body, she was still attractive. She might not be the most beautiful, especially since she hardly took care of her skin and always trained her physical abilities in close combat, leaving her with many scars, yet, without a doubt, she was beautiful, and her special, Heavenly Restriction body helped her recover.
"Thank you..." Maki smiled softly. "I never thought you would find me charming, Nii-san."
"...you don't think you are one?"
"I am not. I am not feminine like Mai, and I am not even acting like a girl, but it seems I am charming enough to make you lose your calm."
"...are you teasing me, Maki?"
Was it weird of him to show his reaction?
"No, it's just..." Maki hesitated, yet she looked up at him, watching his clear eyes under the lenses of his glasses. "I like you."
"...." Suzuki.
Those words seemed to come out smoothly from her lips.
"You know... my wish to become the clan head before, right?"
Her hand was on his, holding him tightly.
"Yeah."
"I thought that by becoming the clan head, I might be able to change something. I don't want to stay how I am, and I want to change this shitty clan, yet when everyone is just mocking me, telling me that it is useless to change anything, or all others, you are the only one who is looking at me, and tells me that I can do it."
"Yeah."
Of course, Maki could change the clan, as she was the owner of the Heavenly Restriction, but while Suzuki believed this, the others had no way at all, and his words were the ones keeping him, pushing him.
"By becoming the clan head, I thought that I could give you a better environment, a place where you can do what you want without worry, but... but... instead, you do everything on your own, and I... am nothing but a burden for you."
"That's not true."
"Yeah... thank you, but..." Maki's gaze met his as she said softly, "I still wish to stay with you, Nii-san."
"Maki?"
Suzuki realized that Maki's state was wrong.
"I thought that I might only be able to help you with fighting, but..."
Maki's eyes turned strangely dangerous, like a predator that met its prey, licking her lips as if she saw the most delicious piece. "But... I am glad that you also think of me as charming, Nii-san, so..." She moved closer, dangerously, as she could feel a rising heat that pressed against her smooth belly, making her body even hotter, yet also felt a happiness as a woman who was being seen as attractive by the man that she loved.
"Nii-san..."
Suzuki's mind was cut, it felt like everything stopped for a moment, yet with all of the elements between them, and as her clumsy lips touched against his and her hands tightly wrapped around him, his act subconsiously matched her, then taught her clumsy knowledge, before in the end, they were completely enraptured by their first knowledge of this delight.
Yet, as Suzuki JJK was with Maki, the fourth Suzuki was in his class, studying, as usual, ignoring his loud classmates, whose prospects amounted to nothing but just convenience store workers, or NEET.
