Job.
Like any other Isekai story, when someone from the modern world came to another world, they would be given a new special ability, cheat, or something that made them able to live in the Isekai world.
In the world of Arifureta, everyone was born with a unique power known as a "Job," which enabled them to gain skills and other abilities depending on their respective Jobs.
Naturally, Kouki, this guy, the one with a shounen manga-like aura, had a hero as a job.
And Nagumo, the MC of this world, was a Synergist, a common job in existence, with 1 in 10 people possessing it. It focused on alchemy, crafting, and blacksmithing.
So what about him?
Based on his understanding of this world, a job was born from the individual's wish, personality, and character.
Kouki, the idealistic one, wished to save this world, as he did in an RPG game, which led him to become a Hero.
Nagumo?
Considering Nagumo's background, whose parents happened to be in the creative industry, he got the Synergist, which worked well with his creativity.
This was the same for Kaori, who felt empathetic toward others, which led her to become a Priest, and for Shizuku, whose family was a sword dojo, so her job was Swordmaster.
So what about him?
If Suzuki had to say it, his character was pragmatic. He did everything, whether it was study, sports, or even a relationship, becoming the best at them, because he knew that when he became the best, he would be untouchable. He had no need to worry about being threatened by others, and, considering his orphan status, he needed more advantages than others, since if he failed, he had no safety net, parents, or family to help him.
If he failed, then he would really fall to his death, living as a homeless person.
Did he want to live homeless?
No way!
This was his drive, which made him work harder, as he knew that his hard work today would be repaid later when he became an adult, and he just wished for a stable and easy life.
This was even better when he gained the "Manager," as it helped him to study faster, and optimize everything, whether it was his working out, study sessions, resting, and all other things, making him able to have more time resting, which he used as sleeping, since he hardly had any time to sleep.
His life was as good as set up, too, as he was already accepted into the best university in Japan, so even if he couldn't use a unique ability, or supernatural ability, or become the strongest, like his counterparts in the world of Naruto, JJK, or Solo Leveling, he was fine, since his goal was to live a normal wealthy life.
Yet now?
It was impossible.
Being thrown into the world of Tortus, where the human was under the threats of demon, and he, and his classmates were forced to fight against the demons, handling all the problems off the incompetent people in this world, he knew well that he had to be strong, or else he would be swallowed, especially when he saw at how unrealiable everyone was.
Even worse, the law of his country didn't work anymore in this world, so in such a case, someone might resort to violence, or even worse, a killing; he knew well that he had to be prepared.
Yet, would they do that?
They were.
Suzuki did not doubt that some of them, while the majority just wanted to go home as soon as possible, the minority were thinking of evil plans, as they might kill everyone, since their life in the real world was shitty.
'Shit...'
When he thought of what had happened after this, he wished so much that the other him could send him their abilities. It didn't matter even if it was Suzuki Naruto, who was the weakest, but it was far better than being a simple, healthy, fit high school student in this world, right?
"..." Suzuki Naruto.
Unfortunately, their ability only allowed him to share their knowledge.
The rest?
If he had awakened with Suzuki JJk's ability, he would already have opened a trading account and made billions in FOREX or other trading.
Yet he didn't have a unique superpower; all he had was knowledge of ninjutsu, physics, and psychology.
So what was it about his own advantages?
'Hmm... economy?'
Considering he was accepted into the Economic Faculty through recommendation, he had been learning various economic subjects, such as principles of economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics & Statistics, economic modeling, game theory, and other related fields relevant to his future discipline and career.
However, could economic knowledge be used in this world?
'Hmm....'
As he observed his surroundings, how the world seemed to be at the level of the medieval era, and how despite everyone who lived in this world having a cheat-like ability, yet could only do mundane things, or other things, especially when those people, the soldiers, or knights, still wore heavy armors like the RPG game, he somehow had an idea of what to do.
'What should I do?'
When he thought of his idea of what he should do in this world, he felt a little giddy, thinking about how everyone in this world thought that he was similar to his classmates, who were still naive, and would follow whatever their words, as they had no choice, he felt a really brilliant idea at what he planned to do in this world.
No, he wouldn't be like Kouki, who planned to save this world, nor Nagumo, who just wanted to go home, but he wanted to teach this world that they had brought a wrong man to their world, as his mind worked differently from the rest.
His words might seem like nonsense, as he was still weak and powerless. While he could take care of those normal knights, due to the "Manager," it might be hard to fight the Commander, as the difference in physical ability was just too absurd.
At this moment, he was just a little shrimp, but he wasn't a normal shrimp; he was a poisonous shrimp.
This world was like water, and as a single small poison entered without everyone realizing it, everyone was slowly poisoned until it was too late.
"Thanks for lending your air, Heroes! I'm Meld Loggins, the Captain of the Heiligh Kingdom's knights!"
The bearded man smiled as he led his subordinates to give everyone something.
"I've got something for you all. These are called Status Plates. What is this? As the name suggests, status plates reflect your basic parameters as numerical values. They're handy ID cards, too, so be sure you don't lose them.
"Now, I'd like you to prick your finger with the pins I gave you, then let the blood drip on the plates. That'll mark you as the plate's owner. Don't ask me how it works. I am not sure myself, but they are artifacts from the Age of Gods. Ever since the Gods ceased to walk on Earth, they've been the only artifact we can still create."
While everyone had various emotions, from excitement, nervousness, and fear, Suzuki was as calm as ever, watching the result of his status from the plate.
Name: Suzuki Tanaka.
Age: 18
Gender: Male.
Job: Merchant.
"..."
As expected, his job was really mundane.
