Diaman rolled his shoulder, testing his newly generated arm. He clenched and unclenched his fist.
"Feels lighter."
His other arm was more muscular than the newly generated one. He poured mana into it and buffed his arm back, making it more muscular.
"Much better. Now the bigger problem."
He took a deep breath, coiling his leg muscles. Tratex's mana flashed. He cut through the air with greater force and speed. Diaman launched himself towards Tratex. He slid just in time for Tratex's blade to slice at nothing. He skidded, slowing his speed, and picked up a sword.
Then he swung at Tratex from behind. Crimson splattered as the blade carved into Tratex's back.
-50 HP
But Diaman didn't stop at one strike. He kept swinging and attacking Tratex from behind, sending him flying with every strike.
-50 HP
-50 HP
(-50) x 20
[CRITICAL!]
[300 HP LEFT]
Diaman gripped the hilt and kept going without giving Tratex a chance to even react. His palm seared, his arms ached, but he kept going. With one final strike, he sliced Tratex's head off.
-299 HP
His head tumbled in the air, then fell to the ground, painting the white stone red.
Tratex's body staggered a few steps forward, then dropped to the ground.
Diaman's chest heaved. He looked down at Tratex's body. His grip grew weak and the blade slipped from his hand.
Its sound rang through the atmosphere.
"Is he dead?"
[1 HP]
"Just one."
Diaman sighed, then dropped to his knees beside Tratex's body.
"He'll probably die anytime soon from blood loss."
Diaman looked back. He was far away from the parasite he had kept the people safe inside.
He stood up and began walking to it. Dragging his foot.
'The dungeon is clear. Take us back.'
[WRONG.]
'Huh?' Diaman halted. 'What do you mean wrong?' His brows furrowed. 'I just—'
[DUNGEON BOSS ISN'T DEAD]
'It's just 1HP. He'll die from blood loss. I don't need to. I'm tired.'
He looked over his shoulder at Tratex's body.
Aura flared around it
[HP INCREASING!]
"Oh no."
[ROUND TWO!]
'SHIT.'
"RAAAAAAAAH." Tratex's detached head roared.
His HP began multiplying.
1... 10... 100... 1000.
'So he can heal. Shit, I made a mistake. I should have finished him. This is getting tiring.'
Tratex's body rose. His skin where Diaman had carved with steel knitted back with a wet, sickening sound. He retrieved his severed head and attached it back.
He craned his neck and smiled. "You mortal. Are strong. Let's fight again. No holding back." Tratex's voice was amused.
Diaman's jaw tightened. 'How can I kill this thing?'
[IS HOST READY TO ACCEPT BONUS REWARD?]
Diaman rolled his eyes. 'No.'
"Let's fight without blades," Tratex continued, "and go all out. May the best fighter win. Ready when you are."
Diaman narrowed his eyes.
[MANA: 100/15000]
'Lies. He's just out of mana.'
Diaman readied his stance.
*Ding*
[HOST VICTORY IS COMPROMISED]
'How?'
[HOST CAN'T DEFEAT AN IMMORTAL DEVIL ANGEL.]
'Immortal? Why did you even bring me here?'
[EXCEPT...]
'Except what? Tell me.' He glanced at Tratex, then back to the system. 'Tell me.'
[DOES HOST ACCEPT THE AVAILABLE BONUS REWARD?]
'I swear if it's something that makes the fight harder, I'll look for a way to kill you.'
[HOST CANNOT KILL SYSTEM WITHOUT HOST KILLING HIMSELF]
'Just show me!'
[ WEAKEST]
HOST CAN SEE THE WEAKNESS OF EVERY OPPONENT AND HOW HE CAN DEFEAT THEM.
'Hmmm. That's actually pretty useful. What is his weakness?'
[SCANNING]
[...]
[OPPONENT: TRATEX ]
[WEAKNESS: STRONG MANA PRESSURE]
'But the mana pressure here is already strong but doesn't seem to affect him.'
'Wait.'
'The mana pressure in this dungeon suggests high mana but not infinite.'
'That's right. His mana has a cap too.'
'So if I overcharge him with mana, I can defeat him.'
[EXACTLY!]
'But how do I do that? He won't stand there.'
"Are you scared?"
Diaman ignored Tratex's taunts. He placed his hand on his jaw. 'I can use a parasite to hold him, freeze his senses, so I can overcharge him, then win.'
'Good. In that case—' Diaman smiled as he raised his arm deliberately. 'This is an easy win.'
Diaman snapped his fingers.
[ERROR: ]
[ PARASITE INFESTATION FAILED.]
[ TARGET HIS USING SSS LIVING ARMOR ]
[ ALTERNATE TO PHYSICAL CONTACT. ]
'SHIT!'
"It won't work this time. I've protected myself from your plague. It won't penetrate my body."
'Tsk. Then how do I hold him down? He literally looks stronger. No doubt.'
'And I'm almost at my limits.'
"Since you already attacked me, I think the fight has begun, right, mortal?"
Diaman squared up and fisted his palm, his eyes focused on his opponent before him.
"I guess so."
They clashed. Tratex's fist cut through the air, going for a left jab. Diaman ducked instinctively and drove an uppercut but missed.
Tratex backflipped away, then dashed back. He jumped and kicked, aiming for Diaman's ribs. He pushed Tratex's leg away, clenched his fist tighter, and went for a right hook.
Tratex blocked with his right arm. He jumped with a knee kick. Diaman's palm shielded his jaw. Still airborne, Tratex drove his second knee. Diaman blocked it again.
But Tratex crashed his head into Diaman's, causing pain to immediately sting his skull. His nose bled. "Argh." Diaman gritted his teeth.
"Mere mortals bleed." Tratex mocked him with an aggressive tone.
He gripped Diaman's head, lifted him, then drove him back to his knees with force.
Diaman held his arm up blocking the incoming kick.
Tratex's leg crashed into Diaman's arm, cracking his bones. Anger boiled in his chest. With all his strength, he wrapped his arms around Tratex and slammed him to the ground with explosive force.
"Arghhh!"
*Boom.* The force vibrated through the stone ground. A crater formed where Diaman slammed Tratex.
He didn't stop at that. He gripped Tratex's head and began slamming it to the ground. The ground shook. Crimson splattered with every slam.
With a smile, Tratex gripped Diaman's arm before he could slam his head further. He tightened his grip, feeling Diaman's bones crunching in his grasp.
"You bastard..." Diaman screamed. His two fingers drove into Tratex's eye sockets, blinding him. "You damn mortal." Tratex's smile vanished.
Diaman slipped his hand from his grip, his fingers gleaming crimson.
He pinned Tratex to the ground, his chest heaving. "Now let's finish this."
Diaman's hand reached to touch Tratex.
Tratex kicked Diaman off him.
But he had already implanted a parasite into Tratex. When he drove his fingers into Tratex's eyes.
Since Tratex holy aura was restricting Diaman's parasites from telepathically infestation, he had to implant it manually. And that was what he did.
He landed in a crouch.
"Activate!"
[TAPEWORM ACTIVATED]
The parasite implanted was a common tapeworm but very fast. It was one of the trial parasites Diaman had created when trying to create AETHERPHAGE in class.
It wasn't a deadly parasite but the perfect parasite for distraction.
Once activated, the tapeworm began swimming through Tratex's veins, using his blood as fuel to move at lightning speed.
Tratex staggered to his feet. His eyes healed back. "How dare you put a pathetic worm in my body." He could feel the worm swim around his body. He concentrated, calculating where the worm would swim so he could pull it out of his body.
Diaman picked up a blade and jumped at Tratex.
"I said no swords." A sword materialized in his hand. Tratex aimed his sword at Diaman like a spear.
He wrenched his body mid-air, just enough for Tratex's blade to nick his side ribs.
Diaman landed on the ground, then rolled to his feet.
At that moment, Tratex felt the worm surface to his skin at the side of his neck. He didn't hesitate to use the blade in his hand to stab the worm. The stab was shallow, only killing the worm.
But that was Diaman's plan all along.
He had infected himself with T. gondii, making his blood a vector. And had intentionally made Tratex to be able to nick him. Then resurfaced the worm at his neck.
Knowing Tratex wouldn't hesitate and use the same blade that had his blood to pierce the worm.
And once his blood cells mix with Tratex's.
It would flow through his to his head, infecting other blood cells, modifying his brainwaves would be more effective.
"T. gondii, activate!"
*Click.*
Diaman's modified Tratex brain waves prevent it from sending any nerve impulses.
Thereby shutting down all his nerves.
Since T. gondii was SSS rank, Diaman estimated around ten minutes before he broke free. So for the next ten minutes, Tratex couldn't feel his body, see, hear, or smell. He was dead to the world.
'Perfect.'
With no further time wasted, Diaman dashed and punched a hole in Tratex's chest.
He began pumping mana into Tratex.
'Arghhh.' His eyes glowed dark purple as his aura flared.
Tratex's body convulsed violently. Mana crackled in the air. Sparks danced like fireflies.
Diaman kept pushing on. The sky darkened, responding to his power.
[20000/15000]
Tratex's body began swelling. Spots of light began piercing out.
Slowly, the light pouring out grew stronger. Diaman tightened his eyes.
30000... 100000... 5000000.
Boom!
