Chapter 406 - Chapter 406 Tang Chen's Death Opens the Road to Hell.

Dongfang Jing and Biji followed the Crimson Nine-Headed Bat King to the Hell Slaughter Arena.

Upon reaching the center of the arena, Bat King took a deep breath and began to act.

Following the secret method for opening the Hell Road, it directly used Tang Chen's soul as a sacrifice.

Suddenly, a thick red mist erupted from the King of Slaughter's body.

The mist carried an evil, cold aura, spreading outwards in concentric circles like ripples on water.

In the blink of an eye, the red ripples had spread throughout the entire Hell Slaughter Field.

Immediately afterwards, Tang Chen's soul was forcibly ripped from the body of the King of Slaughter.

Tang Chen's soul floated in mid-air, as if he had gone completely mad, his hands frantically scratching at his body.

The strangest thing is that, although he was just a soul, real blood was constantly dripping from his body onto the ground of the killing field.

After the blood fell to the ground, it seemed to come alive, quickly gathering and flowing.

Before long, a large amount of blood drew a huge, blood-red bat pattern on the ground.

As the design was completed, the eyes of the blood-red bat suddenly emitted an extremely dazzling red light.

Dongfang Jing and Biji subconsciously narrowed their eyes.

When their eyes adjusted to the light and they opened them again to see things clearly, they found that their surroundings had completely changed.

They were no longer in a hellish killing field, but standing on a circular platform suspended in mid-air.

Dongfang Jing walked to the edge of the platform and looked down.

Beyond the platform lay an abyss that stretched as far as the eye could see, churning a pale red liquid that emitted a pungent smell of blood and heat.

"Is this the Road to Hell?" Dongfang Jing frowned slightly as he looked at the blood pool below.

He could sense a scorching, poisonous aura permeating the air. With a flick of his wrist, he retrieved a small jade bottle from his storage soul tool and poured out two antidotes.

He handed one of the pills to Brigitte and said, "There's poison in the air. It won't do you any harm, but it's always good to be safe."

When Biji saw the pills that Dongfang Jing handed her, she didn't reach out to take them. Instead, she slightly opened her mouth and let Dongfang Jing feed her the pills himself.

After taking the antidote, the two prepared to set off.

Biji spread her phoenix wings, stretched out her hands, and hugged Dongfang Jing's waist from behind, lifting him into the air.

The two flew through the air, following the road, searching for a way out of Hell Road.

This Hell Road is indeed a perilous situation with a nine-out-of-ten chance of death for ordinary Soul Masters.

But for Dongfang Jing and Biji, it was far too easy.

They hadn't flown far when they encountered a dense swarm of blood-red bats.

Those bats were a size larger than ordinary ones, with blood-red stripes on their wings. They swooped down on them with ferocity and speed.

But they don't need to do anything.

Brigitte simply spread her ferocious aura, and the bats, being weaker among them, immediately scattered.

As we continued flying forward, a huge snake suddenly darted out from the road ahead.

The snake looked extremely strange, with several fleshy bumps on its head, flicking its red tongue, blocking their way.

Dongfang Jing and Biji stopped in mid-air, sizing up the clueless little snake.

Both of them had read the "Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record" left behind by Tang San and recognized its origin at a glance.

"Is this the primordial, exotic creature that doesn't belong to this world, the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Serpent, as recorded on that document?" Dongfang Jing asked, confirming as he looked at the menacing serpent.

"It looks quite similar." Brigitte nodded.

The ten Fiery Sun Serpents, unaware of who they had offended, opened their blood-red maws and pounced, spitting out a blazing pillar of fire.

Dongfang Jing sneered, and in a flash, he disappeared from Biji's arms.

The next second, he was already above the snake's head.

A flash of golden light appeared in his hand, and a sharp blade materialized.

A golden sword aura flashed, and the head of the ten-headed Fiery Sun Serpent was severed, its massive body slamming helplessly into the blood pool below.

These ten inner cores of the Fiery Sun Serpent are at most equivalent to the strength of a ten-thousand-year-old soul beast.

Even if ten of them came, they wouldn't be a match for Dongfang Jing now.

Dongfang Jing reached out and pulled a bead emitting a fiery red light from the snake's corpse.

Dongfang Jing held the inner core of the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Serpent, tossed it around, and turned to look at Bi Ji, only to find that her expression was somewhat off.

Biji landed on the platform, looking at the inner core of the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Serpent in Dongfang Jing's hand. Her eyes became somewhat deep as she fell into deep thought.

After a long while, she sighed and said in a heavy tone, "There are so many things in this world that we don't know about."

She pointed to the inner core with her finger: "Look, not only is there Tang San who transmigrated to another world, but also the Sun Goddess from beyond the realm who chose you. And now, in this Hell Road, another ancient beast from another world has appeared..."

Biji held Dongfang Jing's hand tightly, her eyes filled with worry: "Disciple, if you really become a god in the future, won't you have to face all these unknown and dangerous things?"

The more she thought about it, the more panicked she became; she didn't want Dongfang Jing to take any risks.

"Anyway... anyway, even if you fail the Divine Exam, it won't erase you from existence. So..." Bi Ji's voice trailed off, "...In Douluo Continent, no matter how big the trouble you encounter, even if you're a Limit Douluo, I can help you solve it now. But if we go any higher, I'm afraid I won't be able to help you..."

She looked up into Dongfang Jing's eyes and said, "Actually, you could stay on the mainland and stay with us peacefully."

Dongfang Jing felt a surge of warmth in his heart as he looked at Biji's worried and fearful expression.

He sighed softly, thinking to himself,

Master, oh Master, don't let your current appearance fool you. I am, in truth, a demon from beyond the realms...

He grasped Brigitte's hand and pulled her into his arms.

Dongfang Jing said firmly, with a hint of joking, "Even if I choose to stay and keep you company, how long can I stay? You live such long lives, while I'll only live for a few hundred years at most. When I die, are you going to be widows? Or are you going to find new lovers after I die? Let me make it clear in advance, I absolutely disagree."

Dongfang Jing continued, "Besides, I promised you that I would help you fulfill your wish. I haven't done that yet, so I can't just let it go like this."

Hearing him say that, Brigitte pouted, leaned gently against Dongfang Jing's chest, and muttered, "Actually, I feel that those things are no longer important. For me, nothing is more important than you now."
