Chapter 8 - Blue Sea

Northeast of Britainna, Stonecliff Mountain.

The sun set beyond the hills, casting a warm glow across the land. Mountains stretched across the north, while vast grasslands and dense forests lay to the south.

Senryaku descended from the sky quietly and transformed into a form of young boy and entered a Wyvern Cave.

The cavern was vast and ancient, its walls carved by time and flame. Wyverns are creatures humans would label as monsters, their home classified as nothing more than a dungeon.

Senryaku walked forward calmly.

"Many monsters' homes are called dungeons by humans," he said, his voice echoing through the cave. "Humans refuse to coexist with monsters.

Seeing us monsters as a threats that needs to be disposed of even though we did nothing, they hunt us, slaughter us, destroy our homes. After killing us they were praised calling themselves hero's and Raiders as if bloodshed alone grants them virtue.

This world has always been a stage of survival of the fittest, yet they butcher us for no reason, use us as materials for refining Feral Souls. To me this is genocide who give then the authority to decide who should live and who should die.

His eyes narrowed.

"This world is filled with many species. Survival is the only law. Humans kills because of benefit no different from monsters."

He raised his gaze.

"There are cruel monsters," Senryaku continued, "same for humans no one is made perfect."

Dozens of wyverns flying towards Senryanku spitting acids all over Senryanku.

It was like green a rain falling from heaven.

The wyverns didn't pose a single treat towards him so he did not try to invade or dodge the attack he took it head on.

The person who truly ended the war was Urue Everhour.

The allied nations introduced a new weapon a nuclear weapon known as the Atomic Wave. After three waves were launched at Utopia, the destruction was catastrophic. Entire continents shifted, the world map changed, and Utopia was completely isolated from the rest of civilization.

With Utopia separated, Britannia lost its only route to the outside world. The seas were now crawling with different species of beasts, far more dangerous than before. The Atomic Waves had made it worse: the nuclear energy was absorbed by the sea, empowering existing sea monsters and giving rise to entirely new, terrifying creatures among these monsters was me, Senryaku.

Senryanku closed his eyes, and a memory from the past slowly resurfaced.

Sixteen years ago, Blue Sea.

After the war ended, Britain broke into six countries.

Scotland was located in the north. England occupied the entire east and stretched down to the south, possessing the largest land among the divided countries of Britain. North Ireland was located in the west, Ireland in the southwest, Britannia at the center, and Wales in the south of the Britain continent.

Utopia was also a country that split from Britain. However, it did not divide by its own will. All the routes connecting it to other lands were cut off, turning Utopia into an isolated island.

After the war ended, any ship that attempted to cross the sea toward that region never returned. Some were captured while others were destroyed.

Even when fleets tried to take a longer route to avoid Utopia, the result remained the same.

In order to discover the cause of this mystery, the divided countries of Britain formed an alliance and sent an entire fleet to investigate Utopia.

The moon reflected its pale light across the vast ocean. Ships floated silently on the dark waters, their silhouettes drifting under the silver glow of the night.

Inside a half-destroyed ship that had sunk partially into the sea, Senryanku stood with two other demons. The broken vessel was surrounded by a transparent rainbow bubble that separated them from the water outside. From within, they could see the ocean clearly, while the outside of the barrier shimmered with shifting rainbow colors.

A figure soon approached from the depths.

A mermaid swam gracefully toward them.

She was beautiful, her eyes were blue like the sea itself, and her long hair flowed gently with the current. Blue scales covered the lower half of her body, glimmering faintly under the moonlight. Her skin was pale and smooth, and her lips were soft and delicate.

She passed through the barrier and entered the bubble.

From the inside, the barrier remained completely transparent.

The mermaid spoke calmly.

"Northern humans are passing through the sea over fifty ships. Among them are ten Rank 6 Feral Soul Immortals, three Rank 7 Feral Soul Immortals, and one Rank 8 Feral Soul Immortal, along with many Feral Soul Masters."

She paused before continuing.

"A meeting is currently being prepared at the Sea Castle. Almost all the elders, city lords, and immortal cultivators both demons and merfolk have gathered and are waiting for your arrival before the meeting begins."

She bowed slightly.

"Please come with me."

After swimming under the sea for a while, the three demons and the mermaid guide arrived at a massive purple rock resting quietly on the button of the sea. The rock was smooth and tall, its surface worn by years of ocean currents. It stood like a silent monument among smaller stones and patches of sea plants that swayed gently with the movement of the water.

The mermaid swam forward and placed her hand on the surface of the rock. The demons followed and did the same.

At first, nothing happened.

Then the rock slowly widened, its surface rippling as if alive, drawing them gently into its hollow. As they passed through, the world around them shifted. When they emerged, they found themselves on an island stretching over 40,000m².

Blue Sea Water Godest Spirit Land.

The sky was bright, filled with clouds of many different shapes and sizes. Some were long and stretched across the horizon, while others floated like scattered islands in the air. Their white and pale gray forms drifted slowly across the vast sky.

Despite the brightness, the sun itself was nowhere to be seen.

Inside the protected space, the water was calm and clear. Several rivers flowed gently in the small world, forming winding waterways between large stretches of land. Small hills and even short mountains are in the ground. Coral trees and sea plants grew along the riverbanks, adding color to the landscape.

Buildings stood across the land in organized districts. Most of the structures were built from polished stone, smooth shells, and large pieces of coral shaped carefully into walls and pillars. The buildings were tall but elegant, with curved rooftops and wide balconies that overlooked the rivers.

Stone bridges crossed the waterways, connecting one part of the city to another. Paths made from smooth white stone stretched across the land, forming streets that curved naturally with the terrain. The world looked peaceful and orderly, like a coastal kingdom placed beneath the sea.

Although the entire city was located underwater, there were large open spaces where the ground was dry enough to walk on. Water flowed through canals and rivers, but the main districts stood on stable land.

Mermaids and mermen moved through the streets in their human forms.

They walked, talked, and worked just like people on the surface. Some carried baskets filled with sea fruits and shells gathered from nearby reefs. Others worked near the rivers, cleaning fish or preparing supplies. Groups of young mermaids ran along the stone paths laughing, while elders sat near the bridges watching the calm flow of water.

Some buildings appeared to be markets where goods were exchanged. Stalls displayed colorful shells, polished stones, dried sea plants, and different kinds of fish. Further away stood larger buildings that looked like government halls or residences for important figures.

At the center of the city, built near the base of a tall underwater mountain, stood the Sea Castle.

The castle was enormous. Its outer walls were built from layers of white stone reinforced with thick coral structures. Tall towers rose from each corner of the castle walls, their windows facing the surrounding rivers and districts of the city. The architecture was elegant and strong.

A wide stone road led from the city directly to the castle gates. Guards stood at both sides of the entrance, wearing fitted armor made from hardened shell plates and polished metal. Each guard held long spears designed for combat.

Beyond the gates lay a large courtyard. Several smaller buildings surrounded the open space, including training grounds, guard stations, and storage houses.

Inside the castle, the corridors were wide and carefully constructed. The walls were decorated with carved stone patterns that showed scenes of ocean life, ancient sea voyages, and the history of the mermaid kingdom. Water channels flowed along the sides of the hallways, keeping the environment cool and fresh.

Servants and officials walked through the corridors carrying scrolls, tools, and supplies. The atmosphere inside the castle was organized and disciplined.
