Chapter 20 - | Table

"Look, Rie and Yeshua have already ordered." said John as I walked towards the table where Yeshua was sitting. "Let's just order now and talk about the tabs later," said Andrew.

I sat across Yeshua, I looked at Him, I smiled at Him and then looked at the sea where He focused His attention at the moment. "They haven't ordered yet?" asked Yeshua, making me look at Him and see Him looking at me. I looked towards the cashier and saw the four still looking at the menu behind Matt. "Still deciding." I answered Yeshua and then I looked back at Him. Yeshua chuckled and then looked back at the sea. And so do I as well.

"The smell of the ocean breeze makes one feel like one with the sea. Thinking so deeply like the depths. Hope's crashing like the waves. Feelings being pulled back and then rising as it destroys like a tsunami."

I quickly looked back at Yeshua with my widened eyes. "What?" is the only word I utter. Those are the exact words I told myself almost three months ago. Yeshua continued looking at the sea. "The changing of the tides can give you assurance that things will change. The waves can offer you peace with wisdom. Let those feelings be pushed through and then lowered as it creates serenity that changes the destruction within." I was taken aback from what Yeshua just said.

I… I sighed. I can't. "How can I? When my family is in dismay?"

"Trust in me, for if you trust in me, you also trust the One who sent me."

I was speechless. "Do not doubt. Only trust."

"Hey, Matthew! We'll place chairs and tables beside them, yeah?" yelled Simon to Matt as he pointed at our table. Matt looked at us, looked at the "staff only" door then looked back. "I-I don't think Sir would-" before Matt could finish his response, Simon began moving the table behind me. "Simon!" called Andrew to his older brother. "What? I'm sure Matthew wouldn't mind." said Simon as he placed the table beside ours.

Jaime and John looked at one another then Jaime followed Simon and began moving the table behind Yeshua. John took the two chairs that Jaime left behind while Andrew took the other two chairs that Simon left behind. "What you did is disrespectful, Simon." said Andrew to Simon as he placed the chairs in front of the tables. "You did it as well, Andrew."
