As Alfeo brings out the food of the boys, we all just stayed quiet and watched Yeshua eat. When Yeshua noticed us watching Him eat His pancakes, He stopped and looked at each one of us. "What's the matter?" Asked Yeshua. I looked at Him with wide eyes. I don't know? Maybe the fact that there's already a prayer before meal other than the prayer before meal that we know today. I said in my mind as I tried to also express it through my eyebrows. "You all don't know?" Asked Yeshua. I shook my head and so did Matthew, John, Jaime, and Andrew.
Then Andrew and John looked at Thomas, Jude, and James. "You all knew?" Asked Andrew to the three of them with his eyebrows narrowed. John's eyebrows narrowed as well. "James and I just knew it when we met Yeshua," answered Jude who is sitting in between Thomas and James. "How about you, Thomas?" Asked John, making all of us look at Thomas. "Same as Jude and James. When I met Yeshua," answered Thomas as he pointed to both Jude and James.
"Let's just pray, since our food is already served," said Jaime to all of us, making Yeshua smile. "Where's Simon when you need someone to be in charge," I heard Jaime whisper to himself, I looked at him with wonder. "In the name of the Father," said Jaime as he touched his forehead with his right finger, we all followed. Except for Yeshua. "And of the Son," continued Jaime as he touched his chest, I touched my tummy. We're divided about that. Some touch their tummy while some touch their chest. "And of the Holy Spirit. Amen," and Jaime touched first his left shoulder and then his right shoulder, we did as well.
"Bless us, O Lord, and these, Your gifts, which we are about to receive from Your bounty. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen." We all prayed, except for Yeshua. "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen." Said Jaime as we all did the Sign of the Cross again to close the prayer.
"Mm-mm-mm! How did Uncle Alfeo even know what food we like?" Asked Andrew after he took a big bite of his croissant then nudged Matthew beside him. Matthew awkwardly looked at Andrew then looked away, "I-I just remembered what you often order," answered Matthew, trying so much to avoid Andrew's eyes. All our eyes.
Then suddenly the main door of the cafe opened and Simon finally followed. All of us looked at him and followed him with our eyes as he walked towards Jude. "Jude, can I talk to you?" Asked Simon as soon as he stood behind Jude. He nodded as a response and said, "Uh-yeah. Yeah," and Jude stood up from his seat. Simon began to walk away from us and Jude followed him.
