( PH 2)
The next day,,
Morning in Astra City did not feel normal.clouds hung low over the skyline, heavy and unmoving.the neon lights had not fully faded yet, still flickering faintly against the glass towers.it wasn't raining.
But the air carried a cold dampness.
The city was alive and yet it felt like a silent witness to something that had already happened.
Synapse Medical Complex. :
White glass walls.cold, artificial lighting
a distant, detached silence.
The building did not feel like a hospital.
It felt like a machine.
Inside,
the air smelled faintly of antiseptic.
In the silence, only one sound existed.
"beep… beep… beep…"
A long corridor stretched forward.
Glass doors on both sides behind each one a different story.
On one side of that corridor Anie sat.
Still unmoving.
Her hands were clasped together.
Fingers tightened slightly.
Her hands were clasped together
fingers tightened slightly her eyes
fixed on a single door. above that door
a small red light.
Inside Eli still unconscious she said nothing. She did nothing she just sat there.
Time passed.
Doctors walked through the corridor.
Machines echoed faintly in the distance.
But she heard none of it.
Her world existed only in front of that door.
"…Eli…"
she whispered her voice was barely audible.but it carried weight she lowered her head.
she whispered.
Her voice was barely audible but it carried weight.she lowered her head.
And among all of it only one image remained clear.Eli standing in front of her.again, and again.
Taking the hit protecting her.
"…why…?"
she asked herself the question had no answer.she closed her eyes. His voice echoed in her memory.
"You're not alone."
Her eyes slowly opened her chest tightened slightly.she didn't understand this feeling.
Was it fear? No,,, Was it guilt?
Not just that.
This was something else something new.She looked at the door again.
"beep… beep…"
She stood up slowly step by step
she walked toward it.through the glass
she looked inside.
Eli lay there machines surrounding him.
Bandage across his shoulder.wires connected to his body. His face
calm.but it wasn't normal sleep.
She placed her hand on the glass.
Cold ahe stared silently.
"…all of this…" she exhaled softly,
"…because of me."
Her fingers trembled slightly for a moment the air around her shifted,
just a little.
But it didn't explode it stopped.
She pulled her hand back.
And then her eyes trembled slightly.
A memory.
A memory ,
Faint,old a corridor, a hospital.Herself
Younger she was sitting on a chair.
Her hands just like now,a door,
a red light.Inside someone.
"…he'll be fine…"
a voice said beside her a smile,
"Don't worry." he was smiling,
She tried to smile back but the memory shifted. The door opened doctors silent faces.
No one said anything she stood up.
"…what happened?"
No answer for a moment the world stopped the memory cut off.
Anie snapped back to the present.
Her breathing quickened.she stepped back.
"No…",,she shook her head,
"This… this isn't the same…"
But her heart didn't believe it she sat down again.her hands tightened together her eyes fixed on the door.
This time there was fear but not the same as before.
Now it was something deeper,
What if she loses him?.....
silence,
"beep… beep…"
Time passed no one came no one left.
Only her only her thoughts.Inside her
something was changing.she couldn't fully understand it but it was there.
Slowly growing she whispered softly,
"…Eli…", a pause,
"…you have to wake up."
This time her voice did not break.but it wasn't strong either It was…real.
Soft light spread across the corridor.
The day moved forward slowly.
But, in front of that door time still stood still....
