( PH 2 )
The page turned....,
Anie didn't realize she was holding her breath.the sound of the paper felt sharper this time.as if the silence around her had grown thinner, her eyes dropped immediately.
[Diary Entry — Sam] :
I think I was wrong.
The handwriting had changed not drastically but enough. The strokes were slightly heavier less relaxed.
It's not just a feeling anymore.
A pause,
There's a pattern.
Anie leaned forward slightly.her fingers pressed tighter against the page.
[Flashback Begins]:,
Morning came like any other.the same classroom the same light falling through the windows.the same voices filling the space nothing had changed.
and yet something had sam sat in her seat.still too still,
Her notebook was open but she wasn't writing.her eyes moved instead slowly.
From one corner of the room to the other.
Not randomly carefully like she was counting something.
"Sam." ,Anie's voice close.
"You're not even pretending to listen today."sam blinked,
"…huh?","the teacher's been calling your name." a pause,"…oh."
She looked toward the front.the teacher had already moved on sam smiled faintly.
"See? Problem solved."
Anie didn't smile back this time.
"You're acting weird."Sam didn't respond immediately her fingers tapped the desk again slower now.
"…am I?" "Yes." a longer pause.
"…maybe."
But her eyes they weren't on Anie hey shifted again toward the door.Just for a second then back.
[Diary Entry — Sam] :
They don't stay in one place.
The words were written carefully.
That's what made me notice it.Anie's eyebrows tightened.
[Flashback Continue]
Break time students moved through the corridor.noise returned laughter footsteps.voices overlapping sam stood near the railing.
Watching not people positions a man near the staircase standing still.not using his phone not talking just
there.sam looked away,Then looked back.he was gone her breath paused slightly.
"…okay…"
She turned walking toward the canteen.
But as she moved she noticed something else.another person.
Near the vending machine standing still again.different face same stillness same presence.her steps slowed.
"…coincidence…"
She muttered.but her eyes stayed on him.he didn't move didn't react didn't even look at her.then,
Someone passed between them and when the space cleared he wasn't there anymore.sam stopped walking her chest rose slowly.something wasn't right.
[Diary Entry — Sam] :
They appear in different places.
The handwriting pressed deeper into the page.
But they feel the same.
Anie's grip tightened.
[Flashback]
Afternoon sam walked home again same route.same turns, same buildings.but this time she wasn't relaxed.her steps were measured her eyes moved more often.checking
watching.not openly but carefully a reflection in a window.a shadow behind her a figure across the street.
Each time different and yet not she stopped near a crossing.Waited looked ahead then quickly she turned no one.
But her breath didn't settle because she knew someone had been there.
[Diary Entry — Sam] :
I tried to test it.
The words were slightly uneven now.
Changed my route,stopped suddenly.
looked back without warning.
A pause.
They disappear every time.
Anie's heart beat faster.
[Flashback Continues]
Evening sam entered her room closed the door.locked it not something she usually did.she stood still listening thing . but still, that feeling remained
closer now. more defined she walked toward her desk.sat down opened her notebook.not for studying for writing
her pen touched the paper.
Paused then,moved fast,
[Diary Entry — Sam] :
I don't think they're normal.
The ink pressed hard.
Not just people.
A longer pause.
They're watching.
Anie stopped breathing for a second.
[Flashback]:
Night lights off sam sat on her bed again.this time she didn't close her eyes.she didn't try to sleep she just
waited.the room was silent but not empty.
That's what it felt like not empty her gaze slowly moved toward the window.
Curtains slightly open dark outside rain starting again.soft at first.....
Then,
She saw it for just a second a shape.
standing across the street still watching.her breath caught, she didn't move.didn't blink the shape didn't move either.then lightning flashed bright.sharp and in that instant she saw
nothing the street was empty again.
"…no…"
She whispered but this time she didn't sound unsure.
[Diary Entry — Sam]:
They don't want to be seen.
The words were written slower now.
more controlled.
But they're there.
A pause...,
I'm sure of it.
Anie's hands trembled slightly because now this wasn't just sam imagining things.this was something real.something deliberate her eyes moved to the bottom of the page.
the final line written smaller.almost like it wasn't meant to stand out.
If they're watching…....,
Then they already know....
Anie closed the diary halfway her breathing uneven now.because something about that line didn't stay in the past. It followed her.
Into the present the room felt quieter.
heavier .and for a brief moment,Anie had that same feeling again.not memory not imagination presence.
She looked toward the window rain hit the glass softly.nothing outside nothing moving.
But still,she didn't feel alone
her fingers tightened slowly around the diary, and this time she didn't hesitate
she turned the page....
