Chapter 15 - Chapter Fifteen: Trigger

"The guy had a crack on him, Darcy, and he was definitely a member of the Guild." Mikaela rambles quietly into his communicators as he moves with speed on the sidewalk, maneuvering his way through people and obstacles. "And I have a strange feeling he got the stuff inside the hotel. Likely another member I bet. Dammit I should have followed him."

"Um, there's no need for that. Your focus is with Ceo Ji-hoon. We got another agent on ground for that area."

Mikaela halts his steps, receiving curses from someone from behind for stopping so hastily, "Another Agent, Who?"

He can hear Darcy hesitate "...Agent Coleman."

"Tyler!" Mikaela practically screams his name so loudly, people around him wonder if he's in the middle of a lover's spat over cheating allegations, "That Bastard? Seriously Darcy?"

"Why are you yelling like I chose him? Anyway, it was Director Park's Decision, for reasons best known to her. I trust her judgement. She always knows what's best."

Mikaela walks at a slow pace "Of course you do. Seriously Darcy I get that she's the boss and all but you can't just agree blindly to her. She's getting old and it definitely evident now with her choosing Tyler of all people, She's probably experiencing short term memory loss that's why she has conveniently forgotten all of that moron's screw ups. Stop kissing her ass!"

Darcy stays quiet for a minute before changing the topic back to the initial discussion "So what did you do with the crack?"

"It's with me."

"Walking around with literal crack in the middle of Nexpoint?"

"You should be worried about the idiot who would dare to face me right now over crack. I hate having this stuff on me, can you send an agent to come take it off my hands?" He pauses, "Anyone but Tyler."

"No promises." Darcy chuckles before switching off.

Mikaela groans after the call. Nothing against Darcy but with the day he had having to hear her voice in his ear adds to his throbbing headache. He seriously needs rest right now.

Mikaela's eyes slowly open up, he finds himself seated in a hard wooden chair. His body was hurting all over. He looks around to figure out where the hell he was right now. It's pretty dark, the room barely illuminated by a dull ceiling bulb right above his head, shining upon him like a stage light.

Coming out of the shadows were five dark figures. Ji-hoon appears in the middle of them, he steps into the light, close to Mikaela.

Mikaela can't believe his eyes. He's been found out. He tries to get up but he can now feel restraints he would have sworn were never there before.

Ji-hoon only smiles at Mikaela's struggle, "Choose your fate.", He says, pointing down.

Mikaela's head follows the pointed direction, seeing various weapons of choice arranged at his feet.

These just popped out of nowhere.

Among the items are: A Steel blade, A Pistol, A Grenade and A Wooden Bat.

Mikaela clenches his jaw tightly. Was he instructed to pick a weapon to defend himself or get harmed by? Fate is too vague of a word, it could mean anything.

Ji-hoon starts counting down, "Ten, Nine.."

This bastard definitely wants me dead.

Mikaela uses the limited time to attempt to lose the knot that ties him to the chair with his free fingers. To his genuine surprise, he is able to free himself in less than five seconds.

With a victorious grin on his face, his knees rising off the chair. 'Almost too easy-'

Caught off guard, Mikaela is forcefully pushed back down, by a pistol in Ji-hoon's hand, shoved right into Mikaela's mouth.

Mikaela gasps in shock as his tongue brushed underneath the gun, coating it with his saliva. He can feel his throat tightening as Ji-hoon continues to shove it deep inside.

"Remember, no teeth. And swallow." Ji-hoon pulls the trigger—

"Agh! No!" Mikaela rises from his bed, sweating all over. He's clutching his shirt. He remembers that he did go straight to bed once he got to his new apartment.

"Ha…it was a dream. It was just a dream. Ha…hahaha" His breathing morphs into laughter until eventually the sounds coming out of his mouth strained.

Mikaela wonders if the mission is worth losing his sanity like this. The worst part was that his body interpreted his fear as arousal. He feels himself getting harder, like he just got up from a wet dream and not a freaking nightmare.

He checks his phone, Ji-hoon sent him a message:

'The staff informed me that you went home early. I was worried when I woke up alone in bed like that. Thought I lost you but you just went home. Without saying goodbye even. Any other man in my position would feel used Mr. Miller.'

He's the one who feels used? Oh for the love of..., Mikaela keeps reading.

'Feel free to resume work late tomorrow. But not too late of course. I will drive myself so ensure to rest well. After our activity today your body needs it. Especially your jaw—"

Mikaela turns off his phone. 'Tch. Bastard.'

He's too pissed to go back to sleep now.

Mikaela arrives at Jang Towers at 9:00 am.

After waking up from that Nightmare he didn't get a lick of sleep. All he could do was think, about the mission, the rich bastards at Falcon's, the drug dealer with the Guild's symbol. And Ji-hoon. He thought about Ji-hoon a lot. Maybe it was from dreaming about getting shot in the mouth by him or Ji-hoon wanting to shoot his load in him but that man plagued Mikaela's mind.

He's usually good at reading people but now Ji-hoon seems like a tough nut to crack. He can't get a good read on him. He needs to know who the hell is this guy if he wants to succeed in this mission.

He checks in at the reception, gives a friendly wave to Mira and gets on the Elevator. However before he could press on the buttons, a tall man in a navy blue suit steps in from the side. It's Ji-hoon, looking more put together than usual, his hair groomed and brushed to the side. His cologne spreads around the elevator.

Mikaela looks up at him puzzled, wondering where he appeared out of nowhere from.

Ji-hoon stretches his hand across to the elevator's buttons, brushing against Mikaela's which makes him recoil back from the touch. Ji-hoon taps on the top floor button, the door closes as the elevator starts moving up.

The cologne fills the small space. Mikaela can tell it's expensive, probably more than his entire net-worth. He wonders what could be the reason for Ji-hoon's fancy get up today.

Mikaela clears his throat, not because his throat is dry but he feels like Ji-hoon is pretending he can't see him.

"Mr. Miller." Ji-hoon greets him plainly with a nod. Mikaela responds with a "hmph", not bothering to even turn to his direction.

The elevator unexpectedly stops halfway.

What the hell just happened? I can't seriously be stuck with this bastard.
