Neither the New Testament nor the Old Testament gives a clear account of when Lucifer, or Satan, fell into hell. At most, they offer results and scattered circumstantial traces.
Luke 10:18 records Jesus saying, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."
That statement, of course, had no factual basis.
It was merely a slander uttered on a sudden whim.
After all, the one actually suffering right now was Michael, the Light Wheel.
What slightly surprised Hiro was that this utterly nonsensical claim was confirmed by Michael himself, the party involved.
"Nonsense! Even without the Lord's help, I could have personally cut off your head!! Do not mistake the Lord's pity for you, traitor, as your own merit! Shameful betrayer!"
...Huh?
So it was actually true?
Sensing through his Haki that Michael had evaded the red spear he had thrown, Hiro pouted. Even though he'd had a premonition earlier, he was still a little disappointed.
If only the [Longinus Spear] had auto-targeting.
If he had used the simulated Divine Authority [Vedic-Buddhist Spear], piercing Michael or killing him once would likely not have been difficult.
But the key issue was simple.
Would Michael-the Archangel, the Simulacrum Dei, the Light Wheel-not possess some kind of resurrection-type ability?
It was possible.
Still, Hiro didn't really believe it.
"Heh. The [Longinus Spear], an ominous weapon stained with the blood of the Holy Son. To us Angels, even without sight-without eyes or ears-we can easily sense its location. You are far too naive, Lucifer!"
Clang!
Before the explosion of the red sword cluster had fully dissipated, Michael-dual-wielding his longswords-had already broken through the repulsion barrier of [Almighty Push] and charged straight at Hiro.
The [Longinus Spear], which had flown far away, reappeared in Hiro's right hand at his will, cleanly blocking Michael's descending blood-red blade.
With a flick of his wrist, the latter half of the [Twin-Bladed Spear] intercepted the sword in Michael's other hand.
"There's that too?" Hiro muttered, quietly lamenting the poor effectiveness of the [Longinus Spear].
He was just about to pull out the long-unused [Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet] when he suddenly recalled something.
The Michael before him carried the achievement of defeating the Dragon-the Serpent.
According to the Book of Revelation:
"Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon... The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray."
Due to translation issues, several passages were less than coherent.
But the meaning was clear.
Michael might possess an Authority that specifically countered "Dragons."
If Hiro donned the [Red Dragon Emperor's Armor], setting aside its effectiveness, he might instead impose an unknown weakness upon himself.
In the worst-case scenario, the moment he equipped it, he would die on the spot-forcing the Phoenix's protection to trigger and revive him.
As for his other Authority, [Eye of Sodom], which destroyed the sinful city, Michael already appeared directly in its story.
Its effect would likely be mediocre at best.
"Escaped from hell, usurped a human body, seeking to ascend to heaven again and rebel against My Lord? Blasphemer Lucifer!"
Looking at the golden-haired handsome man whose face was now twisted, Hiro thought briefly, then abandoned the idea of using the [Golden Sword] to cleave Michael's Divine Authority.
Since Michael had already labeled him a Blasphemer and Traitor, Hiro didn't mind leaning into something even more "blasphemous."
"Oh? I wasn't a traitor, but now I'm a blasphemer?" he said lightly.
With a faint smile, Hiro teased the man opposite him.
Blocking Michael's attack with one hand, he raised his left arm high, palm facing the sky.
The next moment, an explosion of light erupted overhead-brilliant enough to blind ordinary people.
Toward the sun, a massive male lion seemed to roar at the heavens.
Unlike the evangelical radiance Michael had previously displayed above the Vatican, this lion's appearance was accompanied by a furious heatwave that instantly raised the surrounding temperature by tens of degrees.
Their location was neither central Rome nor some deserted suburb.
A few taxis still passed through the nearby streets.
If that lion were to crash directly into the ground below, the direct and indirect death toll-given Rome's population-would easily reach the thousands, perhaps multiplying by ten or even a hundred.
High temperatures, shockwaves, earthquakes, tsunamis.
Once disasters crossed a certain threshold, they could trigger the end of the world.
And Rome happened to be a coastal city.
Fortunately, by targeting Michael directly, one of Hiro's Authorities-[War God of the East], symbolizing divine speed-met its activation conditions.
With [The Phoenix] upon him, and simultaneously activating the long-unused [Fixed Time Control: Quintuple Speed], Hiro lifted his foot.
Thud.
Michael, still dual-wielding the red longswords, was kicked cleanly toward the Great Sun-straight into the path of the descending "White Lion."
Hiro did not pursue.
He remained where he was, calmly watching Michael's figure recede into the distance.
Of course, that only applied to physical movement.
Silently, a super-standard ability-one that had once truly controlled a God-[Mental Out], invaded Michael's consciousness without restraint.
Hope I don't provoke that God guy.
Sensing the resistance-noticeably weaker than Melqart's-Hiro muttered inwardly.
"God said, 'Let there be light.'"
Perhaps because he was reciting spiritual words, Michael had yet to realize the change occurring within his brain.
Believing he had already seen through Hiro's plan, Michael showed no panic.
Instead, he wore a faintly mocking expression and began chanting at once.
"All light in this world originates from My Lord and cannot harm My body. Oh, light of the Sun! I, Michael, command you in My name-disperse!"
As the final words left his mouth, the White Lion above-still not halfway through its descent-paused, as if unwilling, then slowly dissolved into the sky.
Having repelled the immense threat overhead, Michael looked down at the black-haired figure below.
Just as the mockery on his face was about to turn into words, he felt something foreign invade his mind.
His expression changed instantly.
"Lucifer, you-how dare you!"
"Mm-hmm?"
Looking up at the golden-haired, golden-eyed Western handsome man, Hiro smiled harmlessly.
Damn it.
Was that lion just a distraction?
Feeling that two pairs of his twelve wings had already lost all sensation, Michael's face darkened as he cursed inwardly.
Yet compared to frustration, a greater fear rose within him.
This God-bestowed body was being eroded-bit by bit-by a fallen angel.
A devil.
A Maou.
A foul, unclean blasphemer.
Because of his earlier oversight, he had lost the best opportunity to resist.
Now, even if he struggled with all his strength, he could only delay the inevitable.
There would be no fundamental reversal.
Killing the opponent would resolve everything.
But with his body slipping out of control, and Lucifer's strength being "on par" with his own, Michael was not arrogant enough to believe he could accomplish that.
"If that is the case..."
There was only one course of action.
Having made his decision, Michael steadied his consciousness, expelled all negative emotions, and adopted an expression of absolute piety.
Then, he began reciting another set of spiritual words.
"Lord, having been privileged to be named by You, I, Michael-the Simulacrum Dei-am willing to offer this body to You."
