If Yogg had a surname like "Sothoth," he would know who it was.
But just "Yogg"?
He had no idea who this guy was.
And on top of that, there was no Luck value.
Glancing at the void above the Stone Man's head, Hiro quickly lost interest.
A Stone Man appearing as an anomaly in the world of God Slayers was surprising, but considering the already existing Exorcists, Youkai, and Vengeful Spirits, a mutated individual wasn't impossible.
This Stone Man wasn't an Heretic God.
He couldn't be bothered to interfere.
"Lord Hiro, do you need me to drive it away?"
Noticing his gaze, Grayfia leaned closer and whispered softly into his ear.
From nearly thirty meters away, the Stone Man seemed to hear her whisper and turned its gray eyes toward them.
Composed entirely of gray stone, even facing it directly, Hiro could only see a human-like face carved into rock.
There was no expression to judge joy or sorrow.
After all.
It was just a rock.
"No need. It hasn't shown any hostility. Leave it alone."
Turning toward the Mariya sisters and Seishuuin Ena, Hiro replied casually.
During his stay on Mount Lu, Seishuuin Ena had apparently finished handling her family matters and come to Mariya Shrine, intending to serve as a Kannushi alongside the Mariya sisters.
As for Erica and Liliana, they were shopping at major department stores in Tokyo, each accompanied by a maid.
"Yes."
Grayfia glanced once more at the oddly shaped anomaly and followed behind her Master.
"Hostility?"
After watching the man and woman leave, the Stone Man named "Yogg" moved its rocky mouth, producing a slightly muffled, middle-aged male voice.
"This is a rational judgment."
"But why can't other humans make such a judgment?"
Though it sounded like a sigh-or dissatisfaction-its carved face still showed no sign of anything that could be called an expression.
"Humans... humans..."
"What should I do to become a human acknowledged by her?"
Murmuring the words, Yogg slowly turned and left Mariya Shrine.
Where it had stood, an ema prayer plaque was left behind.
To become human.
"Lord Hiro!"
"Hiro Nii-chan!"
As soon as Hiro appeared, three cheerful voices rang out at once.
The remaining blonde, blue-eyed girl-Yuri-hid behind Seishuuin Ena, peeking at him cautiously, timidity and curiosity mixed in her eyes.
...Yuri's reaction feels off.
Hiro stared briefly at the small part of her face showing and muttered inwardly.
Pounce.
He caught Mariya Hikari as she rushed toward him and sat down on the nearby sofa.
Then he looked at the Yamato Nadeshiko who was being firmly held in place by Yuri gripping her skirt corner.
"Ena, what's going on with Yuri?"
"About that..."
An awkward expression flashed across Seishuuin Ena's face.
"It seems Yuri lost all her previous memories. Her human body couldn't withstand Amaterasu ĹŚmikami's descent. Even basic common sense has only been taught to her over the past few days."
As if to confirm it, the young girl chimed in cheerfully.
"That's right! She's an older sister bigger than me, but she doesn't even know how to use chopsticks or take a bath! We've had a hard time taking care of Sister Yuri!"
"Mm. Hikari is very reliable."
Hiro reached out and ruffled the girl's hair without restraint, laughing lightly as he praised her.
This didn't make her happy.
Instead, she protested with a coquettish grunt.
"Don't treat me like a child!"
He ignored her light, half-affectionate punches entirely.
Amnesia?
The residual power left behind when Amaterasu returned to myth should have healed Yuri.
How could it cause something like this?
As he pondered, Hiro suddenly recalled the three out of four family members who had died tragically on Mount Kailash.
Realization flickered in his eyes.
"By the way, are all your travel preparations done?"
"If we get to Sardinia and you realize you forgot a swimsuit, I won't give you time to buy one."
"You'll have to go naked."
Imagining Mariya Yuri-or someone else-shyly covering themselves, a faint smile curled at the corner of Hiro's mouth.
A malicious one.
With his methods, he could reserve the entire place exclusively.
There was no need to worry about trivialities.
Even though Sardinia had been halved by a "natural disaster," it had no effect on Lucrezia.
Let alone tourism.
"Ena is already prepared."
Seishuuin Ena nodded gently, smiling.
"Hikari has been looking forward to this for a long time! Everything's ready!"
Mariya Hikari cheered, bouncing excitedly as if testing whether Hiro could keep her steady.
"I... I want to go too, but..."
"...wouldn't that be too embarrassing?"
Mariya Yuri glanced around.
Seeing that, aside from the confused Yuri, the others were all visibly excited, she could only whisper the words.
-
After staying several days in Sardinia, Hiro sent Mariya Yuri and the others back to Japan first.
He then took Grayfia to Europe.
The country where they first met.
Standing on the dock where he had arrived before, Hiro looked out at the distant sea.
"Grayfia. I'm going back."
There were still over half the rewards in the Campione world left to collect.
But with a 10:1 time flow ratio and free travel rights, there was no need to rush.
And after nearly a month away, he missed Yasuko, Suguha, Xenovia, Rias, Lala, Asuna, and the others.
"..."
Grayfia looked at her Master's back in silence, unsure what to say.
"Before we part, there are still some things I need to give you."
Turning around, Hiro took Grayfia's hand and transferred items one by one from his System inventory.
Michael.
Susanoo.
Iris.
Amaterasu.
Athena.
Medusa.
Mithra's Reincarnation Curse Power.
[Susanoo in the Dark].
Telepathy.
Random Gacha Machine.
Stand Activation Card.
[Cupid's Arrow].
[Bounty and Decline].
Perhaps knowing separation was near, Grayfia didn't refuse this time.
After handing over everything he didn't need-or didn't need for now-Hiro took out a small square card.
"When you return, it should be the time of the Devil Civil War."
"That's quite far from my current era."
"So you'll have to wait for me for many years."
"And remember. Use the Random Gacha Machine once every hundred years."
The silver-haired maid's expression remained calm as she met his gaze.
"This is Grayfia's duty. Lord Hiro need not say more."
Hiro nodded.
Silently, he activated the Repatriation Card in his hand.
He watched Grayfia disappear.
Then-
"System. Return to the original world."
"The time flow ratio between this world and the original world is 10:1. Free travel is permitted. Confirm return?"
"Confirm."
The moment the thought formed, the scenery before him shifted.
