The audience initially thought they would delve into some life philosophy, but Jiraiya's conversation quickly veered towards developing new Ninjutsu.
At the end of the episode, the screen froze on Kakashi and Minato looking back at Konoha before heading to Rōran.

The animator specifically excerpted this part to deliberately allude to him and Kakashi.
