The weather was pleasant today, with sunlight spilling over the expansive Quidditch Pitch at Hogwarts. Although the match was still half an hour away, the stands were already packed with students.
A highly anticipated Quidditch match was about to begin, featuring the long-time rivals, the Gryffindor team and the Slytherin Team. Even though the final exams were only two short weeks away, the students of Hogwarts were unable to contain their excitement and passion, waking up early to secure the best seats at the Quidditch Pitch.
Even those "overachievers" who usually had little interest in any form of entertainment and buried themselves in their studies, along with the Ravenclaw thinkers who were fond of philosophical questions, had actually appeared in the stands.
Some were whispering excitedly to each other, while others kept their eyes fixed on the players warming up on the pitch, clearly fully immersed in the spectacular match that was about to unfold.
The unique charm of Quidditch was indeed irresistible, capable of making so many students with such different personalities go wild for it.
This match was not just a fierce competition between two teams; it was about who would eventually claim the coveted quidditch cup. Although there was still a match between the Ravenclaw Team and the Slytherin Team after the final exams, in most people's eyes, it seemed irrelevant.
After all, the weaker Ravenclaw Team had very little chance of winning against the powerful Slytherin Team; it was practically a foregone conclusion that they would lose.
Meanwhile, inside Ravenclaw Tower, Cho Chang was trying to wake Adelaide up.
"Adelaide, hurry up and get out of bed! Time is tight, we're really not going to make it!"
Cho Chang called out anxiously, her voice carrying a rare hint of urgency and excitement.
The usually gentle Cho Chang had completely transformed; she was vigorously shaking Adelaide, who was still deep in a beautiful dream, playing a game of chess with the Duke of Zhou.
Adelaide kept her eyes tightly shut, waving her hand groggily as she mumbled incoherently, "Don't be so noisy, just let me sleep for five... five more..."
Seeing this, Cho Chang couldn't help but sigh helplessly. "Oh, Merlin's miniskirt! The exciting showdown between Slytherin and Gryffindor starts in twenty minutes. Not only do you need to get up and wash, but you also need to deal with breakfast."
"If you keep dawdling, even if it's just five more minutes, you'll probably miss this incredible match—this is the last game at Hogwarts for Gryffindor's Quidditch star, Charlie Weasley!"
However, Adelaide didn't seem to take Cho Chang's warning to heart, still responding incoherently, "Sleep for five... five more months..."
Cho Chang was stunned for a moment before she couldn't help but burst out laughing. But she quickly straightened her face and said seriously, "Are you a hibernating bear? If you keep oversleeping like this, never mind this match, you're going to miss your final exams! Get out of bed right now!"
Seeing that Adelaide was unmoved, Cho Chang had no choice but to personally haul her out of the covers, strip off her pajamas to change her into her school uniform and robes, and then drag the half-asleep Adelaide to the Great Hall for breakfast.
Adelaide groaned inwardly, thinking that Cho Chang usually seemed so gentle, yet she became a completely different person whenever it came to anything related to Quidditch.
Sigh, what a miscalculation!
If she had known, she wouldn't have secretly snuck off to Iceland last night to pull an all-nighter on those damn hybrid magic beans, resulting in her severe lack of sleep. Anyway, the savior hadn't officially enrolled yet, so she shouldn't run into any trouble during this time.
Ten minutes later, Adelaide, wearing somewhat messy robes and with a sweet, delicious bun in her mouth, was dragged along by her friend Cho Chang toward the stands belonging to Ravenclaw House, her eyes vacant and spiritless.
Senior Natasha, sitting in the first row, stood up and called out loudly as soon as she saw the two of them, "Cho, why are you two so slow! I specifically saved seats for you, come over here quickly!"
As a Quidditch fanatic, Natasha had been so eager to grab the best viewing spot that she had jumped out of bed at four in the morning and sprinted to the Quidditch Pitch.
When she arrived, it was still dark, and the vast pitch was empty except for a few Gryffindor night-owls dozing in the stands. She quickly claimed the prime spot in the first row of the Ravenclaw stands, closest to the field, and waited happily for her friends to arrive.
Adelaide yawned and looked up, seeing Senior Natasha sitting firmly in her seat, with Senior Jessica and Senior Penelope beside her, also smiling and greeting Cho Chang and her. Two empty seats had been left between these three seniors, specifically reserved for Cho Chang and Adelaide.
Hearing Senior Natasha's call, Cho Chang dragged Adelaide forward and said with a hint of apology, "I'm so sorry, Senior Natasha, we woke up a bit late this morning."
Senior Natasha shook her head helplessly and sighed, "Oh, Cho, don't apologize to me! We're friends! I know you; it must have been that little lazybones Adelaide refusing to get out of bed again, which is why you're late."
Adelaide, hearing her name, felt a wave of embarrassment. She subconsciously scratched her hair and mumbled with a blush, "Hehe, it really was my fault this time..."
Although Adelaide admitted her mistake, she wondered to herself when Cho had built such a close friendship with the seniors from the Human Research Group.
Thinking of this, Adelaide took a bite of her sweet, delicious bun, savoring the flavor while falling into deep thought.
She tried to recall the past details; it seemed that since last Christmas, or perhaps even earlier—after the Halloween incident—Cho's relationship with the friends around her had become increasingly harmonious.
Adelaide counted on her fingers: besides several familiar Ravenclaw seniors, there were Amandine, Alice, Dumbledore—even the Weasley Twins from Gryffindor were on good terms with her!
One had to know that the student styles of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were vastly different. The Weasley Twins, who treated breaking rules and losing points as casually as eating and drinking, and Cho Chang, the model student and representative of the Ravenclaw first-year overachievers, were at two opposite extremes. Yet Cho Chang could use her unique methods to break the barriers and become good friends with them; her social skills were simply too strong!
