Chapter 166 - Chapter 166

Just as Adelaide came out of the Headmaster's Office, she ran into a worried-looking Neville.

"You're saying Harry and Ron are planning to go out past curfew tonight? Why?"

Adelaide was a bit surprised by the news. According to the original timeline, Harry and Malfoy's relationship should have deteriorated sharply by now because of Neville's Remembrall and Harry being selected for the Quidditch team, leading them to schedule a duel at midnight.

Of course, the duel was just Malfoy's trick to fool Harry; in reality, Malfoy had gone to snitch to Filch. That series of accidents led Harry and the others to be chased into the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor, where they accidentally stumbled upon the Cerberus.

But things were different now. Harry and Malfoy had become close buddies who shared everything. Why would he still be wandering out at night?

Neville continued, "The Weasley brothers said they saw a Quidditch plaque engraved with the Potter surname in the Trophy Room on the fourth floor. The Quidditch player who won it is suspected to be Harry's father. Harry was so excited when he heard it that he immediately took me and Ron to check it out. But who would have thought we'd run into Professor Snape right at the entrance of the Trophy Room!"

Neville's tone revealed a hint of helplessness and dissatisfaction. "Professor Snape sent us away without a second word, saying students aren't allowed to enter the Trophy Room without permission. Not only that, he even docked 10 points from Gryffindor! Harry is very unreconciled to this, so he decided to sneak out tonight and slip into the Trophy Room to find that Quidditch plaque."

Speaking to this point, Neville's voice lowered slightly, as if worried about being overheard. "But wandering at night is a violation of school rules! If we get caught... we've already lost 10 points!"

Adelaide scratched her head. It didn't seem like the school rules explicitly forbade students from entering the Trophy Room at will... and Snape was acting a bit strange too. Why wasn't that Potions Master brewing Potions in the basement when he had no classes, instead of hanging around the Trophy Room?

Adelaide raised an eyebrow, guessing that this was likely another setup by Dumbledore to train Harry.

Adelaide advised Neville with earnest words, "Sigh~ Neville, you know Harry has lived with his aunt since he was little and has never even seen his biological parents. He has a special obsession with them."

"I think you shouldn't try to talk him out of it. It's not like I haven't wandered out at night before—as long as you're careful, you won't be caught. And even if something does go wrong, I think losing a few points is worth it if it means Harry can learn more about his father."

"As a good friend with similar experiences, I think you should support him."

At the mention of parents, Neville's mood couldn't help but sink.

He thought of his own parents. Though they were still alive, for certain reasons, his parents couldn't recognize him like other normal parents would.

However, compared to himself, who could still see his parents regularly, Harry was indeed more pitiable.

Neville was silent for a moment, then gritted his teeth and made up his mind. "I understand, Senior Grindelwald."

He looked up, his eyes fixed on Adelaide with determination. "Tonight, I will accompany Harry on his night walk to see the Quidditch plaque his father left behind."

Adelaide nodded with satisfaction, indicating he was a quick learner.

She planned to cast a Disillusionment Charm on herself tonight to sneak out and watch the drama. After all, this counted as a famous scene from the original timeline and was worth going to the site to check in and observe.

At eleven o'clock midnight, Adelaide carefully climbed out of bed, for fear of making even a slight sound that would wake the others in the dormitory.

She walked lightly to the door, and just as she was about to open the dormitory door, she suddenly felt her robes being pulled.

Adelaide was startled and hurriedly turned her head, only to see Cho Chang standing behind her in a nightgown, smiling at her.

Cho Chang's smile looked a bit... strange under the moonlight. Adelaide's heart rate instantly accelerated; she hadn't expected Cho Chang to appear behind her at this time.

Seeing Adelaide stunned, Cho Chang took a step forward, leaned close to Adelaide's ear, and whispered, "Where do you plan on going so late?"

Her voice was soft and ambiguous, with a hint of teasing.

Adelaide's earlobe was lightly brushed by the warm air from Cho Chang's speech, and it couldn't help but itch. She subconsciously wanted to struggle and pull away from Cho Chang.

However, before she could move, Cho Chang suddenly hugged her tightly, trapping her in her embrace.

"You don't want to wake Marietta and the others, do you?"

Cho Chang continued in a strange tone, "If they suddenly woke up and saw us being so intimate at night, who knows what strange rumors might spread~ Of course, if rumors about you and me really did spread, I wouldn't mind."

Adelaide's body instantly went stiff. She had never expected Cho Chang to say such a thing—weren't those the exact words she had used to coax Cho Chang last year?

Now they were being returned to her by Cho Chang without a single word changed, leaving Adelaide in a daze—you're actually using my own tricks against me, Cho, your character is breaking!

Adelaide couldn't figure out what was wrong with Cho Chang, but logic told her it was best not to lie to the current Cho Chang.

"Uh, Neville came to me today and said Harry might be going out tonight to look for some things his father left behind. I was a bit worried about him, so I thought I'd come out and check."

Adelaide tried to keep her voice as calm as possible, hoping to soothe Cho Chang's mood.

Cho Chang didn't seem moved by her explanation. She raised her eyebrows and asked questioningly, "Are you sure you're planning to follow Harry Potter tonight, and not someone else?"

Adelaide was a bit bewildered by the question. She asked in confusion, "Who do you mean by'someone else'?"

Cho Chang gave a cold snort, seemingly dissatisfied with Adelaide's reaction.

"How should I know specifically who this'someone else' is!"

She said irritably, "It could be Hermione, it could be Alice, it could be Pansy, it could even be Professor Rosier or some 'good friend' you've made without my knowledge!"

Adelaide shrunk her neck a bit guiltily, wanting to defend herself, but the words of defense felt stuck in her throat like a barb, unable to come out.

Cho Chang waited for a long time without receiving an answer. She took a deep breath and smiled again. "If you really plan to tail Harry Potter, how about letting me accompany you?"

Adelaide thought about it and felt there was no reason to refuse; it was just one more Disillusionment Charm—and so, the Ravenclaw Drama-Watching Squad was formed.
