Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 Jack and Hector

Amidst the pirates' thunderous cheers, Roger cornered Elizabeth.

The woman was trapped in his embrace, her body as stiff as frozen meat just pulled from an iceberg.

In her beautiful blue eyes, there was three parts terror, three parts humiliation, and the remaining ninety-four parts were a desperate struggle of "Don't come any closer!"

"Captain is mighty!"

"Take her! Let her know who's boss!"

"Kiss her! Kiss her!"

The newly recruited fanatics on the deck were more excited than if they were watching a cockfight.

Each one was yelling at the top of their lungs, afraid the commotion wasn't loud enough.

Roger listened to the cheers of this crowd, who loved to watch a spectacle, and felt nothing.

Take her?

What a joke.

He, Roger, a capitalist who had risen above vulgar tastes, how could he possibly be engrossed in romance?

He was merely conducting a serious, scientific teaching practice, with the ultimate goal of increasing employee loyalty.

"Miss Swann, practical class is about to begin."

Roger lowered his head, his hot breath fanning Elizabeth's earlobe.

"Are you ready to pay tuition?"

Elizabeth trembled, instinctively closing her eyes.

Her long eyelashes fluttered, a tragic sight of someone ready to be sacrificed.

Roger stopped wasting words and picked her up by the waist.

Amidst the pirates' even wilder howls, he carried Elizabeth, walking with an air of utter disregard, into the Captain's Cabin.

"Bang!"

He kicked the door shut, cutting off all the noise from outside.

The next second, Roger directly threw the woman in his arms onto the wide Captain's bed.

The mattress had good elasticity; Elizabeth bounced once and then sprang back up.

Still shaken, she watched Roger approach step by step, her hands instinctively clutching the sheets beneath her.

"You... what exactly do you want to do?"

"Have class."

Roger naturally unbuttoned his collar.

"You think this is still the petty squabble from before?"

Roger leaned over, his hands braced on either side of Elizabeth's body, completely enveloping her in his shadow.

"First lesson: how to make your Captain happy in the shortest amount of time."

...The next day, at the first hint of dawn.

Elizabeth woke up amidst a violent shaking.

No, it wasn't shaking.

It was soreness.

She felt as if all the bones in her body had been disassembled and reassembled.

Especially her lower back; it felt like it was about to break.

She struggled to open her eyes, and the first thing she saw was the familiar Captain's Cabin.

Then, a face sound asleep.

Roger!

All those wild, humiliating, blush-inducing scenes from last night instantly flooded her mind.

This scoundrel! This devil!

Elizabeth trembled with anger.

She propped herself up, grabbed a heavy brass candlestick from the bedside table, and with all her might, smashed it down towards Roger's hateful face!

Die!

You greedy, cunning, evil, heartless pirate!

However, just as the candlestick was about to hit its target, a hand precisely grabbed her wrist.

Roger had opened his eyes at some point.

In his dark eyes, there was no trace of post-sleep haziness, only a clear, playful glint.

"My good student, so energetic first thing in the morning?"

"Last night, you were the one who took the initiative; the bed frame was almost broken by you!"

Roger yawned and casually snatched the candlestick from her hand.

"It seems my teaching results from last night were quite significant."

"You shameless pirate! I'll kill you!"

Elizabeth struggled, her other hand wildly clawing at Roger's face.

Her nails scraped across his skin, leaving several clear red marks.

"Hiss..." Roger winced in pain.

Was this woman a cat?

So vicious.

Elizabeth felt a surge of vengeful satisfaction when she saw her success.

However, the next second she froze.

The red marks on Roger's face were healing at an incredible speed.

A few seconds later, his skin was as smooth as before, as if nothing had happened.

Damn, she forgot Roger had that rapid recovery ability.

Elizabeth immediately deflated.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you."

Roger touched his face, his smile growing more malicious.

"As a reward for your excellent performance last night, this Captain also got you an annual pass for the 'immortal package.'"

He opened the system panel.

[Elizabeth Swann: Loyalty 80/100 (Status: Says no but body says yes, deeply developed)]

[Special Blessing 'Immortal Crew (the explorer Limited Edition)' Activated!]

Roger was overjoyed.

Excellent!

Loyalty went directly from negative ninety-five to positive eighty!

Who else has this kind of business capability?

It proved that...

There was no loyalty problem that an in-depth practical class couldn't solve.

If there was... then two classes.

"You... what did you say?"

Elizabeth hadn't recovered from her shock.

"Don't believe it?"

Roger raised an eyebrow.

"Try it."

He grabbed Elizabeth's hand, picked up a small paper-cutting knife nearby, and lightly sliced her fingertip.

A small wound appeared, and crimson blood beads seeped out.

Elizabeth cried out in pain, just about to scream, but then realized in horror.

That wound, like the marks on Roger's face, was rapidly disappearing.

Finally, not a trace was left.

She was immortal too.

She had also become a monster like these lunatics.

She stared blankly at her finger, completely dumbfounded.

Roger pinched her chin, forcing her to look at him.

"Now, we are kin, my dear student."

With that, Roger got out of bed and began to get dressed.

Leaving Elizabeth sitting on the bed, dazed and flushed, her worldview and integrity shattered.

On the deck, it was a new day.

Over two hundred new recruits were undergoing basic drill training under the supervision of Hector and Buck.

The scene was as chaotic as a marketplace.

"All of you stand straight, damn it!"

Hector yelled furiously, holding a whip.

As a legendary Captain, he felt like he wasn't leading pirates, but a bunch of imbeciles.

Jack Sparrow, with his pinky finger raised, leaned against the mast, looking at the motley crew with disgust.

"My dear Hector, I've always said that leading pirates isn't your strong suit."

Jack swayed his hips as he walked over.

"Back in the day, when you were my first mate, you couldn't even manage a sail."

"Shut up, Sparrow!"

Hector got angry just looking at Jack's face.

"What right do you have to criticize me? A stray dog abandoned by his own crew, who couldn't even keep his ship!"

"Oh? As if you weren't the scoundrel who led the betrayal against me!" Jack's voice instantly rose.

"You despicable traitor!"

"Traitor? I just made a wise choice!"

Hector sneered.

"Following a fickle Captain like you, who can do nothing but boast, we would all starve to death at sea sooner or later!"

"At least I'm more trustworthy than you!"

"Trustworthy? Haha! Who in the entire Caribbean Sea doesn't know that Jack Sparrow's reputation is worse than a rum drunkard's britches!"

"Of course, and your notorious father!"

Hector spat disdainfully.

"When I was with your father, you were still peeing on the docks and playing in the mud!"

"Later, I followed you; what kind of person you are, I couldn't be clearer!"

The two legendary Captains, just like two fishwives, stood on the deck of the explorer, pointing fingers at each other's noses and exposing each other's pasts.

The surrounding pirates were dumbfounded.

"Quiet."

Roger quickly stopped the two.

The two red-faced, arguing Captains both fell silent.

Roger walked out of the Captain's Cabin, followed by a dazed and flushed Elizabeth.

"So energetic first thing in the morning?"

Roger walked between the two, one hand on each, patting their shoulders.

"Good, saves me from having to hold a pep talk."

He scanned all the crew members on the deck, his voice suddenly rising.

"Yesterday, I promised to make everyone rich!"

"Now, the opportunity has come!"

"Our target is—"

Roger paused, revealing a smile that made both Jack and Hector shudder.

"Port Royal!"

"We're going to directly seize Commodore Norrington's the dauntless!"

"Of course, and the Royal Navy on board, we'll capture them all!"

After speaking, Roger ignored the pirates who were so excited they were doing somersaults, and patted Jack and Hector.

"I, Roger, am not fond of fighting in my life, and always love to mediate disputes..."

Seeing Jack and Hector's bewildered faces, Roger awkwardly coughed twice.

"Ahem."

"Enough with the nonsense, I'm here to resolve your grievances."
