Hector, who was currently pinning a Wokou Leader under his foot, shouted back without looking.
"Very good!"
Roger nodded in satisfaction.
"Team A! Control the helm and sails! Prevent them from turning desperate!"
"Team B! Get into the cabin! Find their treasury! Remember, don't miss a single piece of paper!"
"Team C! For the living people on deck, tie up the men, and the women... tie them up too!"
"We are righteous maritime city management, we don't discriminate by gender!"
"As for everyone else!"
Roger's gaze swept over the Wokou who were still stubbornly resisting.
"Free rein! Consider it a team-building exercise!"
"Whoever kills more gets higher performance!"
"Roar!"
The pirates, having received clear instructions, instantly became more efficient.
They were no longer content with mere slaughter but began an organized and premeditated zero-dollar shopping spree.
A group of pirates rushed into the ship's cabin, and soon the sounds of kicking doors and prying open chests could be heard.
"Holy crap, Captain! We're rich! It's all silver here!"
"Holy crap, Billy! Look! There's also jewelry!"
"I want it!"
Roger's smile grew even wider as he listened to the constant reports of success.
He walked to the ship's rail, looking at the completely dumbfounded shore defense gun emplacements in the distance and the ships in the harbor that dared not come out.
He raised his megaphone and shouted with full vigor.
"Listen up, everyone on the other side!"
"Robbery! We're professionals!"
"Today's just a lesson for you, I'll be back another day!"
On the watchtower of Hirado Port, Mao Haifeng spewed a mouthful of old blood in anger, listening to the extremely arrogant shouts.
"Cannons! Fire the cannons!"
He pointed at the enormous black monstrous ship on the sea, roaring hysterically.
"Sink it! No matter the cost!"
The shore batteries finally reacted and began firing sporadically.
But the explorer was too far away and constantly moving.
Most of the cannonballs fell into the sea.
Only a few scattered shots hit the explorer's hull, not even leaving a white mark.
"Is that all?" Roger put down the megaphone and picked his ears.
"Sounds like mosquitoes buzzing."
"the explorer, don't move, we'll carry the ammunition and move it by force!"
"Captain! Their treasury!"
Just then, Buck and Billy excitedly rushed out of the cabin, carrying a large chest taller than Roger.
With a "bang," the chest was thrown onto the deck, and its lid flew open.
Gleaming gold coins, shimmering silver ingots, and various colorful jewels instantly dazzled everyone's eyes.
"My goodness!" Roger's eyes went wide.
He truly lived up to his reputation as the Pirate King of East Asia.
This stash was richer than the damn Royal Navy!
"Move it! Get it all onto the explorer!"
Roger commanded.
"Hurry up! The police... cough cough, I mean, their reinforcements are coming!"
The pirates erupted with even greater enthusiasm.
Like diligent ants, they continuously transported chests of treasure from Sam's ship back to the explorer's main ship via ropes.
In less than half an hour, Sam's flagship, along with several surrounding escort ships, was completely plundered.
Even the dried salted fish and pickled radishes in the kitchen were not spared.
"Alright! Retreat!"
Roger glanced at the sky, feeling it was time to leave.
If they didn't leave soon, even though he wasn't afraid of Sam gathering all his forces, it would still be troublesome.
The most important thing was that ammunition was too expensive.
"Billy! Buck! Do a headcount! See if any idiot got themselves lost playing around!"
"Reporting, Captain! All members of the Kamikaze Assault Team have returned!"
"It's just... Hanson said he wanted to blow something up again, so I knocked him out and dragged him back!"
"Very good."
Roger returned to the explorer with his group of employees, laden with loot.
Before leaving, he didn't forget to look back at the still burning, ravaged flagship, adding another sentence.
"Remember my name! My name is Roger!"
"From now on, I'm in charge of this shipping route! Remember to pay protection fees on time!"
"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you."
"Mao Haifeng is in my hands!"
With that, Roger kicked Mao Haifeng, who was tied up like a zongzi, to the bow of the ship, letting him show his face.
"If you want him to live, bring one million taels of silver for ransom!"
"You have three days to deliver it to the Goto Islands!"
"No waiting after the deadline, he'll be executed directly!"
After shouting, Roger didn't care about the other party's reaction and immediately gave the order.
"Hector, full speed ahead! Let's go back and split the money!"
The black sails of the explorer suddenly billowed, and under the desperate and angry gazes of countless Wokou and sailors, it rapidly disappeared over the horizon.
Leaving behind only a ravaged port and Sam's army in disarray in the wind.
