Why were the Ministries of magic in various countries across the entire wizarding world so afraid of Grindelwald and so eager to capture him?
It wasn't just Grindelwald's power; the main reason was his highly inflammatory rhetoric.
Aside from his most loyal followers, many who joined him were initially neutrals, just like Newt.
But if he were allowed to continue developing like this, the most numerous neutrals would gradually all become Grindelwald's followers.
Once enough time passed, and the number of Grindelwald's followers exceeded most wizards in the entire wizarding world, then the method by which the various Ministries of magic enacted laws to control the situation would be completely overturned.
Similarly, the war between wizards and Muggles would also begin.
Just like Tina's sister, Queenie Goldstein, she was originally a neutral leaning towards the Ministry of Magic and held a clerical position there.
But the Statute of Secrecy prevented her from marrying the Muggle Jacob, leading her to ultimately choose to side with Grindelwald.
Because only if Grindelwald won would the Statute of Secrecy be abolished, and she could then openly marry Jacob.
"Stupefy!"
"Petrificus Totalus!"
"Expelliarmus!"
One offensive spell after another flew from the Aurors' wands, shooting towards Grindelwald.
However, Grindelwald waved his wand and, by himself, blocked all the attacking spells from the Aurors, then turned and walked step by step towards President Picquery.
Picquery's eyes widened at Grindelwald's power; the last time the Magical Congress of the United States of America Encirclement and suppression Grindelwald was Percival, she hadn't gone, so she hadn't seen Grindelwald's power with her own eyes.
Only now did she understand why so many people failed to take down Grindelwald.
It's important to note that in a one-on-one situation, deflecting someone else's magic isn't too difficult, because everyone casts spells together, and the time difference isn't too significant.
But to so easily deflect the attacks of over twenty Aurors, it's not just that Grindelwald waves his wand quickly; more importantly, his casting speed is fast enough.
If it were about waving the wand quickly, with Li Chuan's physical fitness, he would certainly wave it several times faster than Grindelwald, but he couldn't achieve that level.
Because to correctly cast a spell, the way the wand is waved and the clarity of the incantation's pronunciation are both important; no matter how fast he waves his wand, it would be useless.
Grindelwald doesn't even need to incant, and his casting movements are so simplified as to be almost nonexistent, so he can deflect over twenty different spells with a flick of his hand, and still have the energy to advance.
"Mobilicorpus!"
At this moment, Li Chuan made his move. He pointed his wand at the iron bench that Grindelwald had just flung aside and used a Transfiguration spell to hurl it fiercely towards Grindelwald.
Against a wizard of Grindelwald's caliber, spells that produce normal magical effects are less effective than those that can deliver physical attacks.
Indeed, sensing the threat from behind, Grindelwald finally stopped, one hand waving his wand to continue deflecting spells, the other gently raising to similarly control the iron bench hurtling towards him with a non-verbal Transfiguration spell.
Not only could he cast wandlessly and non-verbally, Grindelwald could also cast with both hands simultaneously.
"Forget it, fighting you here is pointless. Since it has come to this, let wizards be completely exposed to Muggles' eyes. Let's see how you maintain the Statute of Secrecy then."
Sighing, Grindelwald ignored Li Chuan and flung the iron bench directly at Picquery and the group of Aurors, causing them to cease their attacks.
Then he pointed his wand at the group of Aurors, forcefully lifted it upwards, then pressed it downwards, and finally flicked it.
The Aurors immediately seemed to be controlled by an invisible hand, first flying off the ground, then falling heavily to their knees, their hands bound behind their backs by some binding magic, and their wands knocked away.
This scene instantly shocked Picquery and several representatives of the International Confederation of Wizards.
It proved that while some high-ranking officials might be old, hold high positions, and have strong backgrounds, having spent a long time in high office dealing with politics without frontline experience or specializing in magic, their power truly diminishes significantly from their youth.
After over twenty Aurors were instantly subdued by Grindelwald, Picquery and the others were so frightened that they repeatedly retreated, not daring to launch another attack.
Grindelwald merely shook his head, gave Li Chuan one last look, then stepped into the magical elevator, kicked out the old goblin, and pressed the button for the lobby.
"Grindelwald might be going to attack Muggles to create chaos. I'm going down to try and stop him. You all quickly figure out how to organize more people to help!"
Seeing this, Li Chuan left a message and quickly ran to the adjacent magical elevator, also pressing the first floor button.
With his current magical strength, he was certainly no match for Grindelwald, unless he used Ninjutsu and close-quarters combat, then there might be a slim possibility.
But it didn't matter, he wasn't alone, and he didn't need to fight Grindelwald to the death; he just needed to stall.
The key was not to let Grindelwald leave the Magical Congress of the United States of America building. Once he left the Magical Congress of the United States of America building, he could Apparate away at any time, and then things would become difficult to control.
Now there was no Credence, the Obscurial, to hold back Grindelwald, allowing the Aurors to calmly set up defenses and a protective shield to restrict his departure outside.
Because of the alarm, the entire Magical Congress of the United States of America building had entered a state of alert.
So when Grindelwald, this internationally renowned fugitive, appeared in the lobby, many Congress staff members mostly pulled out their wands and attacked him.
However, aside from the Aurors, most wizards' magical abilities were truly unimpressive, and Grindelwald easily dispatched them one by one.
But this also delayed Grindelwald's departure from the lobby, allowing Li Chuan to use his speed to bypass Grindelwald and arrive at the lobby entrance ahead of him.
Quickly putting down and opening the case, Li Chuan called out Newt and Tina.
Although neither of them was a match for Grindelwald, Tina, as the Magical Congress of the United States of America's strongest Aurors, was absolutely top-tier in power, and Newt goes without saying, especially since he also had his fantastic beasts to help.
With him added, there was still a certain chance of success in delaying and ambushing Grindelwald.
"What's going on?"
Looking at Li Chuan calling them out at the Congress building exit, Newt and Tina were also bewildered.
"Simply put, as soon as I left the office, I ran into Percival Graves. Fortunately, he was Grindelwald in disguise, so now our mission is to stop Grindelwald and prevent him from going out and causing terrorist attacks!"
Li Chuan pointed at Grindelwald, who was walking towards them, and quickly gave a brief account of what had happened.
