Emmanuel Langsten looked troubled despite recognizing the logic.

"But the way he phrased it... 'professors are paid to teach, not act special.' That's deliberately insulting to get an emotional reaction."

Seraphina spoke quietly from her position.

"It's also true. Many professors here do act like teaching is beneath them. Like students should be grateful just for their presence."

An uncomfortable silence followed that observation.

Admond Ashford's voice cut through again, louder and angrier.

"I don't have TIME to teach stupid commoners! My research is far more valuable than babysitting talentless children who'll never amount to anything!"

The entire staff room went silent.

Every professor turned to look at Admond with varying expressions – shock, disgust and anger.

The commoner professors' faces went cold, their eyes showing barely controlled fury.

'Did he just... did he actually say that out loud?'
