Xira POV
The next morning, it was a flurry of activicties as the girls got ready to go off to their respective work stations.
I looked over and noticed Lena also getting ready to go to the Eram fields.
"Good morning." I said shyly.
It was good to have at least one person who did not want to gorge out my eyes in this Pack.
Lena didn't look at me. She continued straightening the sides of her bed, her movements deliberate, as if I weren't there.
I stared at her back as she walked away, wondering what it was that caused her to give me the cold shoulder.
Just last night she had been defending me, what had changed.
With a heavy heart, I walked out of the room.
Flinching at the snarky remarks from the rest of the girls.
"As if anybody would like to be around a witch."
"The wolfless mutt thinks she can make friends."
Something about Lena's rejection made the words sting even more. I walked out of the dormitory and made my way to the kitchen.
