Seeing Chen Chen's actions, Tony felt like, for the first time in his life, he was being shown up by someone flaunting their wealth.
"You came here specifically to show off your wealth, didn't you?"
And it wasn't just some famous watch or car he was flaunting, but Vibranium, a strategic-level material even on a national level.
It seemed that the King of Wakanda had, with the rewards from selling a very small portion of Vibranium, already been able to cover all the expenses for most of the country's scholars to study abroad and earn their doctorates. One could imagine just how precious Vibranium was.
"I'm not that bored," Chen Chen said, curling his lip, as he casually handed some Vibranium to Tony.
Tony took the Vibranium and said with a slight probe, "But, how are you so sure I'll help you? Do you plan to threaten me with force? Let me be clear, I, Tony Stark, am someone who is soft but not hard, and I absolutely hate being threatened."
Back then, when faced with the Ten Rings' armed forces forcing Tony to make intercontinental missiles, Tony simply paid lip service and secretly tinkered with the first-generation Iron Armor, Mark 1, to launch a wave of extreme counterattacks against the terrorists. He was never someone who would abandon his dignity and principles for his own life.
"Threats of force? No, no, no, that's too low-brow. Besides, I don't like threatening my friends." Chen Chen said softly, then closed the eerie blue Spatial Passage. He approached Tony, his eyes like an abyss, staring into Tony's soul. It was as if his eyes could see right through him.
"Tony, my friend. Have you been sleeping well lately?"
Hearing Chen Chen's question, and looking into those eyes that seemed to read his mind, Tony couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He frowned slightly. "What are you trying to say?"
He felt like his conversation with Chen Chen was like a childhood fairy tale, a scene of a deal between a devil and a human. Chen Chen seemed to understand everything about him, which made him very uncomfortable.
A corner of his mouth curled up, his eyes narrowed slightly. Chen Chen continued, "I just want to help you analyze things."
"Lately, I think you haven't been sleeping. Just like your AI butler said, you haven't rested for seventy-two hours. And I think the reason you're not resting, besides upgrading your Iron Armor, is another reason: anxiety."
"My friend, you're too tired. You have a very serious anxiety problem. If you continue like this, you won't be able to handle it."
"As for me, you know my strength. If you're willing to help me, as a reward, I'll come to your aid whenever you need my help."
With that, Chen Chen extended his fair and slender hand towards Tony.
Looking down at Chen Chen's hand, signaling a partnership, Tony shrugged and then firmly grasped Chen Chen's hand: "Deal!"
"Then, I wish us a pleasant cooperation."
Having casually placed the nearly ten tubes of valuable Vibranium on the laboratory floor, as if they were scrap, Chen Chen casually drew open a Spatial Passage and prepared to leave. "Since it's settled, I'll come back to see you tomorrow."
"Wait a moment." Seeing Chen Chen about to leave, Tony hastily said, "You're really a whirlwind, coming and going as you please. I'd like to say that you could notify Jarvis before you come in the future. That way, I can prepare in advance. Also, if possible, you can come in through the main entrance. Because Chen Chen himself was the energy supply source, endless energy surged within the Armor. If the Armor wasn't made of Vibranium, it would have been blown apart by the rampant energy long ago.
The Armor split open from the middle, and Chen Chen leaned back to enter it. Sensors quickly fed information to the Armor's internal computer, and it automatically closed.
Black alloy gauntlets extended from below, clasping Chen Chen's hands and encasing them. More parts of the Armor quickly assembled themselves, working in perfect harmony.
In about a second, a brand-new Armor was fully assembled. Faint blue energy flowed on the chest. There was no helmet, but upon closer inspection or touch, one could find a layer of invisible energy shield covering the head. The interior of the Armor occasionally made soft noises.
"This Armor, because it's made with Vibranium, coupled with your energy supply, has top-tier durability. According to estimates, its resistance capability even allows for free movement on the surface of the sun without being destroyed. Furthermore, it's not only incredibly strong on the outside, but it also has substantial improvements in shock absorption and force distribution technology."
Tony spoke with great enthusiasm.
"Additionally, the arm strength it provides is beyond your imagination.
