Zi Ji stood there dumbfounded, her mouth opening and closing several times, wanting to say something, but unable to utter a word.
Then, seeing the vacant-eyed Bai Yu beside him, she decided to vent her anger and confusion on him.
"Bang!"
Zi Ji attacked from the side, knocking Bai Yu to the ground. She then straddled him, grabbing Bai Yu's cheeks and pulling them back and forth.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! You silly dragon, you've gone too far! Your master isn't taking you with her, so why are you taking it out on me? Go and hit her if you dare!"
While controlling Zi Ji's hands, Bai Yu shouted loudly.
But Zi Ji still held onto Bai Yu's face tightly, gritting her teeth as she said:
"How dare you question the will of the Lord? The Lord has her reasons for not taking me with her!"

As for Snow Empress, it was because of Bai Yu. She felt that Bai Yu, as the keeper of the Book of Time, was indeed unique. He didn't seem to have any aversion to being mixed with soul beasts.
"Bai Yu, I've already told Snow Empress what you need to do. Next, let her help you summon the soul beasts. Zi Ji and I will head back now."
Bai Yu stood up, nodded to Gu Yuena, then looked at Snow Empress and said:
