Sansa's POV
"Maybe you wouldn't understand because, for years, you've been untouchable—protected by Prince Lucien. He's always been taking care of you. But if that life wasn't handed to you, I bet you'd be just as desperate as I am to break out from here," she snapped, her eyes blazing with defiance.
"In case you've been too blinded by luxury to notice—maids are suffering. Our income isn't enough to live a normal life, let alone have a home. That's why we run shifts and sleep in the palace. That's what you did too… before Prince Lucien's effort became loud."
"But I am here, aren't I?" I shot back, my chest swelling with quiet pride over the fact that Sansa hadn't succumbed to Lucien's attempts despite everything.
"You don't see me basking in his wealth just because he provides it. You don't see me becoming what he wants just because he's the prince. It's disgusting to go that low, Lisa can't you see? He'd never respect you. No one would."
