Seraphina's Point Of View
The moment Lucian's lips crashed back into mine, the world dissolved into heat and hunger. His body was a heavy, unyielding weight pinning me to the mattress, his thighs trapping mine, his chest pressing into my ribs until I could barely breathe.
But God, I didn't want to breathe. Not when his mouth moved against mine like sin itself, slow and deliberate, his tongue sliding between my lips with a groan that vibrated through me. There was something almost reverent in the way he kissed me, as if he'd been starving for this moment and refused to rush through it now that it had finally arrived.
I felt the tremor in his hands as they framed my face, a small crack in his otherwise unshakable control, and something in my chest twisted at the discovery that I could affect him just as much as he affected me.
