As Huang Shi was currently running at full speed back towards the sect, what he didn't notice was that, right now at the Azure Dragon Sect, the situation was very, very dire.

The Greenwood Sky Snake King—one of the true overlords of the Greenwood Forest and a Spirit Profound Realm spiritual beast—was currently outside the walls of the Azure Dragon Sect, as a massive spiritual energy barrier prevented it from moving forward.
However, this did not stop the Greenwood Sky Snake King from wreaking havoc. Instead, it seemed to become enraged at the fact that something was stopping it from getting what it wanted, as it instantly flapped its wings, causing a massive emerald tornado to rampage across the entirety of the southern wall of the Azure Dragon Sect.

As powerful emerald poison seeped through the barrier, some of the lower-level cultivators of the sect started to be affected by it; they began to drop to the ground, screaming in agony as parts of their skin started to melt off their bodies.
Thankfully for them, numerous cultivators from the Medicine Hall were working in tandem with the Alchemy Hall to conduct first aid for the Elementary Profound Realm and Nascent Profound Realm sect members.
This meant that severe injuries were kept to a bare minimum as they ran around the entire sect, providing aid to whoever needed it.
Huang Dao, the Sect Master of the Azure Dragon Sect, was currently standing on the walls of the sect together with a few of the Grand Elders.
This included his grandfather, Huang Li, and his two subordinate Grand Elders who were collectively in charge of the Information Hall; Yan Fei's mother, Yan Meiling, and her two Grand Elder subordinates who ruled over the Mission Hall; and Huang Mo, together with his three Grand Elder subordinates who collectively ruled over the Disciplinary Hall.
Aside from the fact that the Grand Elders in charge of the Alchemy Hall and Medicinal Hall were not present, all of the top-level powers of the sect were currently standing on the walls protecting the Azure Dragon Sect, staring at the massive Greenwood Sky Snake King in the sky, which was glaring at them with murderous rage.
An important thing to take note of was the fact that his father had actually brought his elder brother, Huang Long, with him. As the person with the highest chance of becoming the Sect Master in the future, his father clearly wanted him to be here so he could become familiar with his future subordinates.
As the massive Greenwood Sky Snake continually used its emerald poison storm to weaken the spiritual energy barrier of the sect, slowly chipping away at its integrity, a voice finally spoke.
The first person to break the tension was Grand Elder Huang Mo of the Disciplinary Hall. He was a man with a dark complexion and a bald head, possessing a sinister and dark aura that made him look like a person who had seen mountains of corpses and rivers of blood.
"Sect Master, this beast is clearly here for a reason. It is very rare for one of the overlords of the Greenwood Forest to step out of their territory and provoke the human sects like this."
Huang Mo stayed quiet for a few seconds, letting his words hang in the air, before continuing in a cold and sinister voice.
"This means that if we give that beast what it wants, it may just back off peacefully. After all, it is never a good idea to provoke those nasty things."
Huang Dao nodded his head but refrained from voicing his thoughts. He stayed quiet for a few seconds before looking at his son, speaking in a calm voice:
"What do you think?"
Huang Long stared at the Greenwood Sky Snake King, his entire body trembling. The pressure being emitted by a Spirit Profound Realm spiritual beast had caused him to see visions of his own death reflected in it its vertical pupils; in fact, he had the strange feeling that the snake was actually staring directly at him its eyes shining with hatred, which caused his heart to pump faster and faster.
Why is that damn snake looking at me? I didn't do anything to it!
Seeing that his son remained quiet, Huang Dao clicked his tongue. A flash of azure lightning erupted from his body, hitting Huang Long in the back and causing him to gasp in pain.
As a bit of his clothes were singed from the lightning, he looked toward his father, who now had a look of displeasure on his face. The other Grand Elders were also looking at him now, staring straight into his eyeas if trying to gauge his performance.
Huang Long gulped before forcing himself to calm down. He tried to open his mouth and speak calmly, but his words betrayed him as he began to stutter.
"I-I think we should call on the Ancestor for help."
The moment the words came out of his mouth, everyone on the platform suddenly paused. The tension became so high that it seemed as if it could be cut with a knife. This time, it was Yan Fei's mother, Yan Meiling, who spoke in a cold voice.
"If the Ancestor becomes injured in this fight and is forced to recuperate, the other sects may take advantage of our weakness and stage an attack.
As we all know, the Crimson Sand Sect has always wanted to prove that they are capable of truly becoming equals with our Azure Dragon Sect and the Iron Cloud Sect, and so if they see an opportunity to strike they are likely to do so without hesitation"
The rest of the Grand Elders nodded their heads in agreement. It was clear that this sudden disaster that had befallen the Azure Dragon Sect was currently being watched by the other two great sects of Reshi City.
If they saw even a hint of weakness from the Azure Dragon Sect, they might just swoop in and bite at it for a bit to see what happens.
