Rex's first thought before waking up was that he recognized the place by its light.
"Ah shit... here we go again."
He was back in Lustia's domain.
"I'm starting to think that the fatigue bullshit was your doing."
There was a certain kind of light in Lustia's domain that wasn't sunlight or any other man-made source. It was the kind of light that existed in places that were defined by a divine idea rather than physics.
It was warm without being directed, there without being in the way, and it had been the same every time Rex had been here.
Lustia was laughing while perched on her throne, which appeared as goofy and cozy as it always had.
It was not the polite, social kind of laughter that is typically restrained. The genuine laughter, which engaged her entire body, had clearly been ongoing for some time before Rex noticed it, as it was already fully expressed by the time he became aware of it.
"Hahahahaha~! What's with that look? It seems like you're tired seeing me, huh?"
