Alexander looked at him for a moment with the expression of someone who had come looking for something and wasn't sure this was it but was paying attention anyway.
"She's going to have to stand in front of Lady Valentina," Alexander said. "Lady Valentina personally cleared the resources for this expedition, approved the team, and signed the timeline."
He paused to control his breath. "And she's going to have to tell her that the Key is broken..."
"And Elizabeth is going to carry that... she carries everything."
"She's been carrying things since before I knew her, and she's going to carry this."
"You could tell Lady Valentina yourself," Rex said.
"I'm going to," Alexander said. "That's not in question."
