Chapter 5 - Chapter 4:The difference between dying suns and living ones

POV — KAEL / SCIENTIFIC OBSERVATION

Kael did not feel power the way normal Kryptonians did.

There was no rush. No sudden godhood. No instinctive ecstasy.

There was only accumulation.

RED STAR SYSTEMS (KRYPTON-TYPE)

Under red stellar radiation, Kael's bloodline behaved conservatively almost cautiously.

Radiation absorption rate: low-frequency, stable

Cellular conversion: linear

Energy saturation: slow but permanent

Measured passive Growth:

+1,000 to +3,000 tons per year

Dependent on exposure duration and stellar age

Red stars fed structure, not transcendence.

They reinforced muscle density, skeletal lattice, and organ resilience but they did not awaken higher thresholds beyond low level flight .

NOX: "Red stellar radiation reinforces your baseline Kryptonian physiology."

Kael: "It prepares the vessel. It does not elevate it, it strengthens the bodies capacity to store and absorb more powerful radiation."

This was why ancient Sol-Abraxas survived Krypton but never ruled it.

YELLOW STAR SYSTEMS (SOL-TYPE)

Yellow stars were different.

Violently different.

The moment Kael entered a yellow system, his cells did not merely absorb radiation.

They restructured themselves to worship it.

Absorption rate: exponential

Cellular response: adaptive mutation without instability

Energy storage: locked, irreversible

Measured Growth:

+50,000 tons per year

No plateau

No diminishing returns

Under Sol-type radiation, Kael's bloodline revealed its true purpose.

SOL: "Your genetic architecture was never meant for Krypton."

Kael: "Then Krypton was a prison and was never meant to survive us."

Yellow stars did not just make him stronger.

They made him a low planetary threat.

....

POV — PREHISTORIC Earth...

Kael stayed hidden.

But Earth did not ignore him.

THE FIRST MYTHS

In the blistering lands where Kael first established his surface presence on the vast deserts and volcanic plains he chose to inhabit. He saw as humans were few, scattered and still primitive cave dwellers and others were living in forests and open plains.. But they were growing slowly...

...

The humans saw:

A dark figure standing unharmed beneath the sun

Creatures of metal that moved like living beings

The land reshaping itself where he passed

They did not approach.

They remembered to stay away from the floating man.

Paintings appeared in caves:

A dark man crowned by light

Beasts of silver guarding him

The sun was drawn larger than the sky

He became:

The Silent Sun

The One Who Does Not Burn

He Who Watches Without Hunger

Kael noticed the myths forming.

He adjusted.

He stopped moving openly. He altered Seraphim patrol paths. He erased tracks.

Vesper let's out a matelic laugh: "They are assigning divinity to you ."

Kael: "Then I'll withdraw. Gods destroy civilizations simply by being seen.... I don't like God's anyway ."

But myths had momentum like it or not.

And the universe had noticed Earth.

...

GREEN JUDGMENT

POV — GREEN LANTERN CORPS

Six months after Earthfall, emerald light cut across the sky.

Three Lanterns descended.

Not diplomats.

Enforcers.

Their rings glowed brighter the moment they scanned Kael.

Lantern K'Thal: "Kryptonian signature detected.

Unauthorized presence in a protected developing sector."

Their tone was cold. Professional Righteous.

And deeply prejudiced.

-ACCUSATIONS READ ALOUD-

Violation of Non-Interference Mandate

Illegal establishment of fortified installations

Unauthorized use of stellar absorption technology

Kryptonian military classification breach

Kael listened.

Confused but calm, not remembering these kinds laws and rules .

"I did not know these laws existed."

The Lanterns did not care for explanations.

Lantern Jor-Vex: "Kryptonians never do.

That is why we monitor them."

THE FIGHT

Kael did not strike first.

The Lanterns did.

Constructs slammed into him chains, hammers, gravity fields.

They broke.

Kael absorbed the energy passively.

The rings flickered.

Ring Analysis: "Alert! Alert! The Target's energy retention exceeds predictive models."

Kael moved quickly .

He stepped forward and breaking the ground beneath him as boulders a flung sideways, scattering them and breaking their formation.

A single punch shattered a construct and sent one Lantern back into orbit.

"Hey.... I don't want to kill you fools so leave me alone." Kael said seriously.

That restraint and comment angered them more.

K'Thal: "You think mercy absolves you?"

Kael: " I think ignorance does in this case."

The Guardians intervened.

Orders came in .

Withdraw. Observe. Reclassify.

The Lanterns left humiliated.

And furious.

.....

THE UNDERGROUND SUN

Kael did not celebrate.

He adapted.

The surface base was dismantled within days.

Seraphim Droids tunneled kilometers beneath the crust.

A new base grew semi organic, silent and invisible from external observation.

Kael stood beneath the Earth now, absorbing solar radiation filtered through devices created by nox .

Weaker.

Slower.

But safer.

SOL: "You are choosing concealment over dominance."

Kael: "Because Earth deserves time. Not God's and I have time ."

Above him, humanity grew, myths slept.

And outside earth , the universe debated what he was.

And Kael waited.

STATUS

Strength under Yellow Sun: Rapid escalation (+50,000 tons/year)

Earth Position: Hidden observer

Green Lantern Status: Flagged, not hostile yet

Kryptonian Status: Forgotten temporarily..
