Chapter 357 - Dark Celestials' Suspicious Actions

On the desolate land, battle was imminent, and the Sorcerer Supremes from various Universes spontaneously formed small teams, rapidly casting various mysterious hand seals.

Golden energy flowed, and protective spells formed, layering upon each other. In an instant, the participating Sorcerer Supremes each had more than a dozen layers of protective spells.

"Wow, it seems we thought alike."

"This is what they call great minds think alike."

"Hahaha."

After the commotion, the Sorcerer Supremes once again chanted spells, and various powerful magic surged like a tide towards the Dark Celestials.

Blazing flames transformed into raging giant dragons, sharp ice cones rained down like a downpour, and there were also hurricanes and thunderstorms. However, these elemental magic attacks, like natural disasters, vanished without a trace when they hit the Dark Celestials' armor, causing no trouble for the Dark Celestials.

The energy beams casually unleashed by the Dark Celestials, however, easily tore through these magic.

Bang!

A Sorcerer Supreme from a certain Universe, Tony, was hit. Fortunately, his protective spell was not broken. He merely fell from the sky, crashing straight to the ground, caught by the surging white tentacles.

"Ordinary magic finds it difficult to break through their armor defense. Use control skills."

Without Tony's reminder, the other Sorcerer Supremes also realized this.

They changed their strategy. Some used Images of Ikonn to create clones and paired them with the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak to restrain the Dark Celestials.

Some used gravity manipulation, constantly applying force in various directions to the Dark Celestials, affecting their attacks, evasions, and defenses.

Some used the Mirror Dimension to segment the battlefield into modules, ensuring their side always maintained the advantage of outnumbering the enemy.

For a time, various energies, Elder Gods' divine power, and Dark Celestials' cosmic energy raged across this land, with thunderous roars.

If Lucas had not previously imbued this space with his divine power, the great battle would have long since annihilated space-time.

However, Lucas observed for a long time and noticed an anomaly.

The Sorcerer Supremes, Elder Gods, Lifebringer's team, and the Dark Celestials, although fighting fiercely, had very few casualties.

Apart from Chthon killing a few Dark Celestials when they were caught off guard at the start of the war, no one from the four factions died on the spot.

Atum did not go all out due to his concern for Gaea, and thus had not achieved the first kill.

"So, it still has to be me."

Muttering to himself, Lucas no longer delayed.

With a thought, the descent speed of the giant finger in the sky suddenly accelerated.

An invisible wave of air descended from the sky, striking Logos, who was encased in layers of tentacles on the ground.

Logos was startled. He looked up through the gaps in the tentacles, only to see the glowing white colossal pillar in his vision growing ever larger.

Perhaps it was anger, perhaps fear, Logos's intense emotional fluctuations helped him erupt with cosmic energy far more powerful than before. Like a supernova explosion, terrifying energy broke through the countless tentacles, dissipating in all directions, drawing the attention of everyone in the field.

Enveloped in terrifying energy, Logos shot into the sky, dragging countless tentacles clinging to his body, and once again charged towards the colossal finger.

But then he stopped abruptly.

Mid-air, Logos's forward momentum abruptly ceased.

The next moment, countless tentacles pulled back, slamming Logos back into the ground.

At the same time, the colossal finger crashed down.

The dazzling, intense cosmic energy, like a supernova explosion, vanished in an instant. In just one encounter, the energy shield on Logos's body was shattered.

Immediately after, Lucas's divine power surged into Logos's body, and mysterious runes condensed and formed, sealing the energy within Logos.

However...

Lucas frowned.

He felt his divine power being attacked, as if pricked by a needle.

A strange energy wanted to erode his divine power!

After a brief perception, Lucas made a judgment.

The intensity of this strange energy was extremely high, far exceeding Logos's level. This was definitely not Logos's own. It was highly likely from the true enemy of Eternity in this war, the First Firmament.

After a moment of thought, Lucas summoned more divine power into Logos's body, constantly impacting this strange energy, and secretly collected a small portion of it.

If this energy truly came from the First Firmament, then analyzing its essence in advance would be beneficial for his subsequent battles with the First Firmament and Eternity.

Coming back to his senses, Lucas raised his hand, and a glowing white chain appeared, symbolically binding Logos.

"Sorcerer Lucas, bring him back!"

From the distant spaceship, 1610 Mister Fantastic was gesticulating excitedly.

Things were going smoothly, beyond his expectations.

"Bring Logos back, and ideally, capture a few Dark Celestials. With them, I will surely find a way to unify the Multiverse."

Hearing this, a light flashed in the eyes of the Dark Celestials' leader.

"Retreat! I'll hold off that sorcerer!"

Issuing the retreat order, the Dark Celestials' leader advanced instead of retreating. He forced Chthon back and attacked Lucas, seemingly intending to sacrifice himself to cover the retreat of the other Dark Celestials.

"Commendable courage, but unfortunately, it's just delivering yourself to me."

Lucas merely glanced at the Dark Celestials' leader and then ignored him.

The Dark Celestials' leader was puzzled by this.

Soon, his confusion was answered.

A spatial rift suddenly appeared in front of the Dark Celestials, and countless glowing white tentacles surged out from it, spreading towards the Dark Celestials' leader.

The Dark Celestials were startled. In their haste, they only managed to raise an arm, and a beam of cosmic energy shot out.

Using the cosmic energy beam to briefly hinder the glowing white tentacles, the Dark Celestials' leader turned to bypass them.

But...

Crack... Crack...

The sound of space shattering echoed, and the space where the Dark Celestials' leader was located completely collapsed. The Dark Celestials' leader, caught off guard, was immediately swallowed by the glowing white tide hidden beneath normal space-time.

A few ripples spread, and then the glowing white tide returned to calm, but the Dark Celestials' leader was nowhere to be found.

On the other side, the other Dark Celestials did not waste the time their leader had bought them. They first tried to tear open space and escape into a space-time rift, but found that even after tearing space, they were still blocked by a layer of glowing white curtain.

After a brief attempt, realizing they couldn't break through this glowing white curtain, the Dark Celestials decisively scattered and fled in all directions.

After flying for a long time, the Dark Celestials hit another wall.

Literally hit a wall.

At the end of the world, a glowing white barrier had been erected at some unknown time, blocking the Dark Celestials' escape route from the reality level.

With no way to the sky and no door to the ground, the Dark Celestials remained silent for a long time, eventually choosing to surrender.

Such actions seemed normal, but they aroused suspicion among the others.

Except for Reed Richards, who was already eager to begin his experiment, to unify the Multiverse.

"Something's not right, the Dark Celestials' reaction isn't right. This is a life-and-death struggle, so how could the Dark Celestials surrender so easily?"

After the battle, back in the spaceship, Lifebringer looked at 1610 Mister Fantastic and said in a deep voice, "Especially when the other side knows your plan, Reed."

1610 Mister Fantastic suddenly stood up and questioned Galactus, "The other side knows my plan? Galan, what do you mean?"

"You sent messages to Sorcerer Lucas twice before, exposing your plan."

Gaea reminded him, also easing the conflict between Lifebringer and 1610 Mister Fantastic, "Reed, scientific communication methods hold no secrets before cosmic beings."

"Everyone in the field received the messages you sent to Sorcerer Lucas. Under these circumstances, the Dark Celestials shouldn't surrender, even if they have no way out."

"Unless… this was intentional on their part."

Gaea's words echoed in 1610 Mister Fantastic's ears, causing his agitated heart to gradually sink, until it hit rock bottom and began to rebound.

"I don't rule out that possibility, but likewise, I also don't rule out that they intentionally made us think that way to mislead us."

"When something seems real, it's often fake. When it seems fake, it's often real. We should stick to the plan we made beforehand."

1610 Mister Fantastic offered a different opinion, insisting that his plan had no problems.

"Richards!"

Hearing this, Lifebringer was furious. "I never agreed to your plan, and none of us agreed to your plan! You're too self-righteous!"

"Unifying the Multiverse, while it can enhance Eternity's power, will also cause Eternity to lose infinite possibilities and vigorous vitality."

"This is not evolution."

"Infinite possibilities? Vitality?" 1610 Mister Fantastic sneered.

"Don't be foolish, Galan. Do the infinite possibilities you speak of refer to countless different yet similar worlds, as if they're just old wine in new bottles?"

"What kind of possibility is that? It's a kind of restraint. A restraint on true possibilities."

Clap... Clap...

"Richards, although I don't particularly like you, I agree with your point, judging the matter, not the person. I've long been tired of these similar faces and identical names."

Lucas clapped his hands and stood up. He walked between the clashing Lifebringer and 1610 Mister Fantastic, seemingly curious.

"However, I have a question. Before deciding whether to transform Eternity, why not ask for his opinion?"

After a pause, Lucas looked at Lifebringer and 1610 Mister Fantastic, who seemed stumped by the question, and asked again, "Isn't that right?"

Gaea's eyes lit up, and she echoed, "I think Sorcerer Lucas is right. We should ask Eternity about this matter. He must know more than us."

Lifebringer immediately reacted and also echoed, "Alright, then we'll listen to Sorcerer Lucas and ask Eternity for his opinion."

Seeing that Lucas and the others had reached a consensus, 1610 Mister Fantastic said with a grim face, "Alright, then we'll ask Eternity for his opinion."

As 1610 Mister Fantastic's words fell, the dispute ceased, and the scene became quiet for a moment.
