The crowd applauded wildly, and Lockhart continued to sign autographs for his fans.
Charlie and Harry took their books and planned to leave the store.
Just then, Draco walked over. He had watched Harry hogging the limelight the entire time and was very displeased.
"Potter, are you enjoying being in the spotlight?" Draco's voice was clearly mocking.
"How does it feel to have the entire Wizarding World revolve around you?"
Charlie raised an eyebrow.
Are you talking about me?
Seeing Charlie's expression, Draco's face instantly turned pale, and he stammered an explanation:
"I wasn't talking about you, Charlie, I was talking about Potter!"
His voice was even trembling a little.
Ron scoffed from the side:
"Drama King is being dramatic again? How come he gets so cowardly when he sees Charlie?"
"I'm not cowardly!" Draco's face turned red, but his voice clearly lacked conviction.
Just then, Mr. Weasley walked over, frowning as he asked:
"Ron, what are you doing? Aren't you coming out?"
Lucius slowly walked over, a sarcastic smile on his lips.
"Oh, Mr. Weasley, with all your children, you actually have money to enter a store now."
His expression was an exact replica of Draco's.
Mr. Weasley's face instantly turned grim.
"Lucius, you'd best be careful not to give the Ministry of Magic any leverage."
Lucius sneered:
"You all work so hard, the Ministry of Magic should give you a raise, shouldn't they?"
Mr. Weasley's face grew even uglier.
Lucius continued, his tone full of ridicule.
"Doesn't look like it. I'm not saying anything, but for such little money a month, why bother working your life away?"
He reached out and took Ginny's secondhand 'A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration' from her cauldron, flipping through the worn pages.
"Even your daughter's books can only be bought secondhand. Oh, not just your daughter, but all your pig-like children too."
These words were like a dagger to Mr. Weasley's heart.
Mr. Weasley completely erupted, lunging forward.
"You shut your mouth!"
Fred and George shouted from the side:
"Punch him, Dad!"
"Beat this old bastard to death!"
Mrs. Molly hurriedly shouted:
"Arthur, stop!"
But it had no effect at all. Mr. Weasley was already wrestling with Lucius.
Bookshelves were knocked over, books scattered everywhere, and fans screamed, scattering and fleeing.
Charlie's inner gossip-lover began to awaken, watching the two fight with great interest.
Anyway, in the Wizarding World, he had never heard of anyone being seriously injured by a punch.
Even if there were minor injuries, a Spell or a Potion would fix it.
Such a scene was like entertainment.
At this point, people stepped forward to break up the fight, and the scene was quite chaotic.
Charlie also pretended to step forward.
He said to Mr. Weasley:
"Forget it, forget it, you can't beat him."
Then he turned to Lucius and said:
"Look how fierce he is, don't fight him, you'll lose out."
[Your Majesty is a good peacemaker. If not for Your Majesty, the two would have stopped fighting long ago. tyrant points +10]
The two fought even more fiercely.
Mr. Weasley's fist landed on Lucius's nose with a dull thud.
Lucius wasn't to be outdone, grabbing Mr. Weasley's hair and yanking it down hard.
"Stop!"
Several adult Wizards rushed over and together pulled the two apart.
Mr. Weasley's robes were torn, and his left eye was bruised.
Lucius's golden hair was disheveled, and his nose was bleeding.
Charlie secretly thought it was a pity.
He hadn't watched enough yet.
This was much more exciting than a Quidditch match.
Mr. Malfoy tidied his disheveled robes and picked up his snake-headed cane from the ground.
He dusted it off, trying to regain his previous noble appearance.
Only, his nose was still bleeding, so he wasn't noble at all.
He picked up the secondhand 'A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration' and walked over to Ginny.
"Little girl."
Lucius's voice was malicious as he threw the book back into the cauldron.
"Keep your book safe."
"Your father can't afford a second one."
Ginny's eyes instantly welled up.
Mr. Weasley wanted to rush over again, but Mrs. Molly held him back tightly.
"Arthur, don't be impulsive!"
Lucius turned to Charlie, the malice on his face disappearing, replaced by a gentle smile.
"I apologize, Mr. White, for making you witness such a scene."
He bowed slightly.
"Draco, let's go."
The father and son disappeared into the crowd.
Mrs. Molly was trembling with anger.
"Arthur Weasley!"
Her voice was sharp and piercing.
"Look what you've done!"
Mr. Weasley hung his head like a child who had done something wrong.
"Fighting in front of the children."
After the recent farce, everyone lost their enthusiasm for continuing to shop.
"Let's go back."
Mr. Weasley wiped his nosebleed, his voice muffled.
"It's time to go back."
Mrs. Molly said coldly.
The group walked silently towards the Leaky Cauldron.
The atmosphere was slightly oppressive.
Charlie took the subway back to the Orphanage.
Pushing open the door, Storm was still sleeping.
Charlie tiptoed over and pulled out a piece of dried meat from his bag.
This was a snack he specifically bought for Storm.
He took out the packet of sterilization powder and sprinkled it onto the dried meat.
Instantly, the color of the dried meat became strange.
The originally tempting brown turned into an eerie green, and an indescribable stench emanated from the dried meat.
It was like rotten fish and moldy cheese mixed together, with a hint of sulfur.
Charlie covered his nose and took two steps back.
Can this stuff really be eaten?
He gently nudged Storm.
"Storm, wake up."
Storm opened its eyes and yawned.
It stretched, its feathers fluffing up.
"I brought you something delicious."
Charlie held up the dried meat.
Storm immediately perked up.
It jumped in front of Charlie, flapping its wings excitedly.
Then it brought its head close to the dried meat.
And sniffed it.
Storm's expression instantly froze.
It looked up, staring at Charlie with an extremely human-like gaze.
That look seemed to say:
Do you think I'm an idiot?
