Mega Beedrill and Mega Scizor stared each other down, both Pokémon's eyes burning with intense fighting spirit.
This was Beedrill's first time entering its Mega Evolution form.
It could feel the overwhelming power surging through its body,
and excitement flashed in its eyes.
"Aaron… I'm coming!"
Moss gave Aaron a bright smile.
"Bring it on, Moss!"
Aaron smiled back.
"Scizor… use High-Speed Flash!"
"Charge in, then follow up with Bullet Punch!"
Moss waved his hand and shouted toward Mega Scizor.
He planned to use the same strategy again, combining Agility and Quick Attack to increase Mega Scizor's speed while attacking at the same time.
"SCIZOR!"
Mega Scizor let out a deep growl.
Purple-gray energy erupted from its body, and its figure instantly blurred, transforming into a streak of crimson light as it shot toward Mega Beedrill.
"Mega Beedrill… dodge with Agility!"
Aaron reacted immediately.
There was no way he would let Moss freely stack more Speed boosts.

Mega Beedrill let out a sharp buzz.
Purple energy surged around its body as it instantly vanished from sight, easily dodging Mega Scizor's High-Speed Flash.
Mega Beedrill's base Speed stat was already absurdly high.
And after two Agility boosts, its Speed had already risen by four stages.
Its current speed was downright terrifying.
One moment it vanished, the next, it had already appeared behind Mega Scizor.
Even Aaron himself could only barely catch a faint afterimage.
That alone showed just how fast it had become.
Seizing the opening, Aaron shouted,
"Mega Beedrill… now! Pin Missile!"

They slammed directly into Mega Scizor's steel armor.

Mega Scizor merely staggered slightly before stabilizing itself again.
He doubly resisted Bug-type attacks, and its base Defense stat had reached a monstrous 140.
Mega Beedrill's damage output against it was extremely limited.
Without Adaptability's boost, the attack probably would not even have scratched the armor.

Force it into making a mistake.

Mega Scizor let out a fierce roar.
Every clone across the battlefield raised glowing silver pincers simultaneously.

Originally, Flash Step allowed Mega Beedrill to maintain an almost unbeatable position while slowly wearing Mega Scizor down.

Aaron sighed inwardly.
Then he shouted,
"Mega Beedrill! Dodge with Flash Step!"
As for where Beedrill would appear after dodging… that depended entirely on instinct.

Mega Beedrill vanished instantly.
Then, almost silently, it reappeared high in the air.
"Got you…"
A smile appeared on Moss's lips.
Aaron's heart tightened.
He immediately looked upward—only to see Mega Beedrill struck head-on by a heavy punch.

Mega Beedrill was blasted straight out of the sky and smashed hard into the cold ground below.
At the same time, every Double Team clone vanished.
Aaron frowned slightly before looking at Moss.
"How did you know Mega Beedrill would dodge upward?"
Moss chuckled.
"There was definitely some luck involved…"
"But your Mega Beedrill always likes retreating into the air whenever it dodges."
"Maybe it's instinct. Flying Pokémon naturally feel safer in the sky."
Aaron stared at him for a moment.
Then admiration slowly appeared in his eyes.
"Moss… you're a true battle genius."
Moss's cheeks turned slightly red after hearing the compliment.
He awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
"It was mostly luck…"
"Your Mega Beedrill is way too strong. I had no choice but to gamble like that."
Aaron smiled faintly.
A faint black aura slowly began rising from his body.
Then he looked directly at Moss and spoke calmly,
"But Moss…"
"This battle isn't over yet."
"Mega Beedrill… show him your true power!"
