Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

Vincent looked at the barely visible room made fully from metal.

A logical question couldn't help but emerge in his mind since no one would make such a room and moreover, underground.

Unless…

Vincent slowly passed the door and entered the hideout.

The faint feeling he sensed above now intensified, making him shiver.

That strange sensation…

The answer to that feeling was right here.

The room was dark, devoid of light as torches were all burnt out.

But even though he lost his cultivation, the passive ability to see in the dark remained, though weakened.

Vincent's gaze landed at the metallic chains at the end of the room.

'This room was built quite recently…'

Then his eyes shifted to what those chains restrained.

To be precise, not what but… who.

As he observed those two people, his heartbeat intensified when his eyes began to understand what made those two resonate with him.

'I had a guess before, but now… seeing them with your own two eyes is completely different from a book's description.'

Suddenly, his heart shook a bit as he realised that his little childhood dream had just been fulfilled.

"..." Vincent took a deep breath, calming himself, and stepped forward.

Since this feeling brought him here, he would not stay idle.

He stopped right in front of the chains.

Vincent looked into those otherworldly two beautiful eyes and calmly spoke, "Do you understand me?"

"..."

Though he expected the silence, he was still a bit disappointed.

He knew that the difference in their language will be a big barrier that he'll need to somehow overcome, but he still had a faint hope that they learned human language a bit.

Vincent's gaze then moved to the chains.

First, he needs to free them.

After observing them he was relieved. They weren't too thick, so he should have been able to break them.

Grabbing the chain with both hands, he poured all the strength of his Body Tempering into it.

Second, two, three… they still didn't budge.

But Vincent wasn't someone to step back easily as he continued inserting his full force into the chain.

And soon, with a *bending* sound, the chain finally surrendered to him.

*Thud*

The chain dropped on the ground.

Vincent looked at his trembling hands. The skin on his palms were partially ripped away.

But there was no remorse on his face as he stepped towards another chain.

*Thud*

The last chain dropped down.

Vincent took a step back while taking deep breaths, his bloody hands trembled as violently as the rest of his body.

Such physical condition of his only gave him more determination to push forward to the third stage of the Body Tempering path.

Once this is over, he'll give all his attention to achieve it.

Putting this matter to the side, his gaze shifted to the two people he just freed.

"Though you might not understand me, but you should have guessed that I'm not your enemy," Vincent spoke calmly, looking at the two tall females that stared at him without speaking.

Vincent didn't urge them and waited, wanting to show that his intentions are those of help.

The two females were unable to see Vincent in this darkness, but his voice was clear to them.

Vincent waited and soon heard how they started speaking in a foreign language. It sounded completely different from humans, yet was so… enchanting.

Though he didn't understand a single word, Vincent wanted to hear more of it.

As he waited for some progress in their communication, he decided to move first so he went towards the door and picked one of the torches.

When he held the torch, the two females were finally able to see his face.

Their eyes linger on it a bit before moving towards his bloody hands.

After a brief pause, one of the females spoke something to another and the other nodded.

The next moment, that female went straight to Vincent and without asking took his hand.

Vincent didn't resist and rather became curious about what she wanted to do after feeling no ill intent through his active soul force.

At the next moment he understood as he witnessed the female's hands glow in bright green, lighting up the part of the underground passage.

Vincent was slightly stunned as he felt a familiar feeling before when he used his plant and water essence to heal his injuries.

He gazed at this female calmly as her focus was fully on healing his hands.

Meanwhile, the other female just stood beside the taller one, looking a bit… nervous.

After a minute had passed, his hands were not yet fully healed, but Vincent decided it was enough and took his hands back which stunned the tall female as she took a step back with a somewhat frightened face.

The slightly smaller female suddenly hid behind the taller one, also frightened.

Vincent narrowed his eyes before a certain information resource in his mind about this race's mental state outside of their natural place of living.

With this in mind, he put a friendly smile on his face and simply waited for them to calm down, showing that he has no ill will towards them.

Seeing that this man did not do anything weird to them, they gradually eased up.

Seeing their reaction, Vincent nodded and picked the torch before turning towards where he came.

They need to leave this place as soon as possible.

Seeing his departing back, the two females exchanged glances and decided to follow this strange man.

Vincent's soul force was still active so he could accurately perceive all living beings within an area of 100 meters.

Currently, there were several guards roaming around, but they were out of sight at the moment so they could leave the underground safely.

Vincent turned back and waved towards the two to follow him.

Since they decided to trust him, they nodded and followed closely behind and soon the trio finally left the underground area.

After passing the previous hidden mechanisms, they were greeted with a warm night breeze and the full moon.

Vincent took a deep breath and turned around.

What he saw made his heart skip a beat.

There were two gorgeous, almost alien beauties, females. Their long silver hair slowly danced under the wind as the moonlight fell on their faces.

Vincent closed his eyes and recalled Alisia. This calmed his sudden surge of this strange feeling in his heart.

He already knew that this race is considered the most beautiful in the world, but it was just words from the book.

Seeing it with his own eyes was completely different.

It was impossible to describe just by the words alone.

The two females turned towards Vincent.
