Nevan's smile fell. He retracted his hand, bowing immediately.
"Good evening, Your Highness. I wasn't expecting to make your acquaintance today."
"Neither was I." Ceron didn't hide his discontent. Out of the six of them, he was likely the one most direct with his emotions.
'I told him to mind his own business.'
Reis hadn't even seen him approaching. The only one he thought would pop out of nowhere was Yvaion.
"So what is it I hear about forgiveness?" Ceron slipped between them, blocking Reis from the other.
"It's a simple matter, Your Highness. You needn't waste your time on it."
The chorus had already ended, so the area was slowly filling up with guests. Especially those who wanted to get a good look at the hero of the day. No matter how shameless Nevan was, he wouldn't want to get into a public dispute.
