A dark low chuckle escaped her lips as she stared at him.
Her eyes wide.
"Everything?,"
"Yes, everything, Daze," Emilio replied, meeting her gaze.
"And what if I say no?" She challenged.
For a moment, he didn't say anything, just watched her like a predator measuring the distance between them.
Then he stood up from the chair and stepped closer.
"Then you stay here", his voice dropped into something dangerous and cold.
"Rot in a place that already tried to break you once"
His gaze flickered to her face, searching, calculating.
"The ball is in your court" he added.
Daisy closed her eyes, her breaths coming in a slow pace.
Emilio leaned back on his chair, a smirk curved on his lips.
He knew that he had already won.
"Fine" she finally gritted her teeth.
"But I will want something out of it," she added and opened her eyes.
Her eyes stared straight at him without flinching.
"You're not in the position to bring in demands" Emilio stated.
"I know but it won't be a huge one, trust me" she replied.
"Oh I do trust you, Daze" he said, leaning towards her, "the real question here is of you trust me"
"Of course I do," she lied.
"That's a lie and you and I both know it"
"Anyway I don't care about that, we will leave now" he said and stood up.
He moved towards the door and just as he was about to touch the door knob.
He turned, "you won't regret your decision, Daze".
With that he opened the door and left leaving Daisy wondering if she made the right decision.
But she wasn't given a choice though.
After Emilio left, another guy entered the room and came closer to her.
He untied her and then led her out of the room.
Air, fresh, natural air was what Daisy felt as she stepped out of the prison.
She stopped short in her tracks, closed her eyes and took deep breaths enjoying her freedom.
But it was short lived because a horn blared and she opened her eyes to see a black Audi A6 Sedan sitting in front of her.
The car was just released last month and it was rumoured that only one person has it in the country. But no one knew who that was.
Without thinking, she marched towards the car, opened the door and went in.
Emilio was already seated with a glass of wine in his hand.
The car has two seats facing each other and Emilio was already seated in one.
So she sat on the other one opposite him.
"How does freedom feel?" He asked, twirling the wine in his hand.
"It feels refreshing," Daisy replied.
"Good, glad to hear that" he stated and looked outside the window.
Daisy looked out of the window too, her heart warmed with a memory.
She was travelling with her grandmother when she was five and she wanted to know why the buildings seemed to be running with their car.
I wonder how she is doing or if she is still alive.
God, please let her be okay
She prayed and opened her eyes.
When she reopened them, she found Emilio staring at her.
"Do I have something on my face?" She asked, tilting her head.
"No, I just think you are pretty strong to be able to survive the prison. You didn't only survive it but you ruled it. And that is impressive" Emilio remarked.
"It is no big deal," she muttered, shrugging her shoulders.
"It is"
"Tell me your name?" She asked.
"Like you don't already know" she scoffed.
"You are right but I want to hear it from you"
Daisy rolled her eyes, "Daisy Rose" she said.
"My name is Daisy Rose"
"But they call you Daze at the prison right?"
"Yeah" she replied.
"Okay"
Emilio took the bag that was on the seat beside him and took out his tablet.
He switched it on and started browsing through it.
There was a moment of silence before Daisy interrupted, "won't you tell me your name, sir,?"
He looked up at her and a smirk curved on his lips.
"You will find out soon" he replied and went back to his tablet.
The rest of the drive was silent until they drove into Emilio's house.
"We are here, Boss," the driver announced.
"Finally" Emilio said and he then turned to Daisy.
"We are here"
"Okay sir" Daisy nodded and proceeded to unlock the door but someone beat it to her from outside.
The door was opened and she gently walked out of the car.
Her eyes took in the magnificent mansion towering above the ground.
It rises like something carved out of shadow and wealth, its presence impossible to ignore.
From the outside, it stands tall and commanding, painted in a deep charcoal gray that drinks in the light instead of reflecting it.
Clean, sharp lines give it a modern edge, but there's something almost intimidating about its design, too precise, too perfect, like it was built to impress and warn at the same time.
Wow, this house is beautiful
She thought.
Daisy was so lost in admiring the mansion that she didn't notice when Emilio came closer to her.
"Let's go," he said from behind.
Daisy jumped, clearly startled.
"Okay sir" she said, her hand in her heart as she followed him.
They started walking till they got to the huge front door.
"Welcome to my home, Daze," Emilio commented before he opened the door and motioned her to go in.
Daisy went into the house and a sharp gasp escaped her lips.
If she thought that the outside is beautiful then no word can describe the interior.
It was beautiful, classic and screamed luxury.
As they walked further into the room, Daisy's eyes fell on the chandelier hanging at the center of the living room.
Her mouth hung open when she saw that it was made of gold, all of it.
"Have a seat and someone will come to attend to you" Emilio said.
"Okay, Sir" Daisy replied, her gaze still fixed on the chandelier hanging above.
She heard Emilio walk away but she didn't withdraw her gaze from the chandelier.
Even after a few minutes when she heard footsteps approaching.
"Miss?" A voice called.
Daisy turned her gaze to the person, her brows furrowed in confusion.
The lady was dressed in a short skimpy outfit with heavy makeup.
Her blonde hair was flowing down her shoulder and long nails were fixed on her fingers.
Daisy had met and also discussed with maids that work in houses like this. But none of them dress like this.
This one looks like a stripper rather than a maid.
"How much does this cost?" Daisy asked, pointing at the chandelier.
The maid stared at her like she had grown two heads.
"That's not for you to know, now follow me or I am going to leave" the maid replied.
Daisy chuckled, "lead the way, ma"
As she followed her, Daisy can't help but feel like her life was going to get very interesting.
