Chapter 366 - It's... a personal contract

The library doors clicked shut behind them, cutting off the bright chatter of the children and Alaric's lingering, defensive stare. 

Julian led Kaelen a few paces down the quiet corridor until they reached a wide bay window that overlooked the snow-dusted training grounds.

Turning around, Julian leaned back against the stone ledge, resting his hands comfortably on the window. 

His expression was completely relaxed, his curiosity lighting up his vibrant blue eyes as he looked at his vanguard commander.

"Alright, Sir Kaelen," Julian said, his tone casual and light. "Lucien is currently brooding over his teacup, so we have a few minutes. What is it that you need my help with?"

Kaelen, who could face down a charging demonic beast without blinking, suddenly looked profoundly uncomfortable.
