Unbidden, hot tears slipped from the corners of Rowan's eyes, tracking down his flushed temples and soaking into the pillow.
Kaelen, who was completely focused on the tightness and the pleasure of Rowan's hole, immediately caught the glint of his tears in the dim firelight.
He choked back a groan, stopping his hips instantly to a halt, his chest heaving as he hovered over the trembling aide.
"Rowan? Hey," Kaelen panted, his voice thick and laced with a sudden, deep worry. He immediately brought his hand up, his thumb gently wiping away a stray tear. "Does it hurt too much? Damn it, I'm sorry. I'll stop—"
"No, don't stop," Rowan sobbed out, his voice incredibly small and ruined.
He violently shook his head, his fingers tightening around Kaelen's shoulders, refusing to let the knight pull away. He couldn't keep the dam up anymore. The physical vulnerability had completely stripped him of his professional armor.
