.....
Afternoon at the Darcen Villa.
Purple awoke for the second time in the day. The first had been with a mind splitting head ache. So bad she had almost fallen over. However she was welcomed with the pleasant warmth of the sun and a weird feeling of being watched. Looking towards her left, angry and almost infuriated eyes looked down at her, and untill then, she'd thought she knew her men. However she had never seen Dan glare her way like that. The stone like behind of Don stared back at her when she looked over for help. Yes help, because she knew she was the cause of such angry eyes. And it made her feel worse when she realized Don was angry too. He was the calm one, but maybe today he had lost control again, maybe he was hiding whatever it was that dwelled in the depths of his eyes from her with his back turned like that.
" Your head aching anymore?"
That was his first question? That was it? Well with those angry and glaring eyes she'd almost thought she'd be thrown out the streets or something. Plus what she did warranted such treatment. They had warned her, cautioned her and in the end it had become an unspoken rule that she couldn't leave the estate. However last night, the third day of their stay in the villa, however they had had an emergency and had to leave to take care of some business. She knew what it was, they had told her about it. They tell her everything. An export ban was placed on one of their states. And normally that wouldn't have been a problem they had to take care of, they could leave it to the greys. Or better still the Darcens on the topside, they dealt with governments and all that concerned them thus bans, legal access, and safe passes for trading routes. However there had been an inclination towards the dark side. It was a step at invading from their long time enemies. And the sucker hadn't even known they knew all about his intentions. But then again, the Darcens were always tricky, they were the wild cards, the members from the topside, greys and underworld worked so well together, they caused a devastating blow even if the problems invaded from outside their Darcen territories. They knew all, which meant they could strike first, they had all the power to finish the job without much disturbance. Sometimes, It was amusing how their enemies garnered such courage to attack them all the time. It was fun while it lasted but annoying once a Darcen found his bride. Leaving the beds that had their sweet brides in them was probably one of the most painful decisions a Darcen had to make.
And two nights ago, Don and Dan also had to leave their sweet purple and finish off some of those relentless bastards. They'd made sure to uproot the entire organization just so they wouldn't have to disturb their stay by their bride's side.
However on their last night of stay in Lapaz_Tomb... A guild under the Darcens name, and right after they had given a review of the one sided war and traces of connected enemies that would be traced and hunted by another team, they heard from the chef about Purple's disappearance.
For a second, they'd lost it. And every second after was filled with efforts of trying to keep their spiralling minds in check and failing miserably.
The drug had wained, she'd broken out the delusion, she remembered, the eyes she'd stared at with such love were the ones she had once looked at so hatefully so fearfully. The memories of the purple that once was, hunted them. She had come and taken away their lovely purple, time was such a cruel fate.
Back to the present, they stared at the little lady who had almost made them loose their minds.
"Yes, I'm fine. " She really hadn't planned on going out with that haughty little blonde. But he said Don and Dan were his cousins. He was the second family she'd met, and the first to invite her to have fun. It helped that he was younger than she was. And maybe she had trusted him too much when he promised they were surely only going to be within the estate grounds. Who would've thought he was taking her somewhere so noisy. And those mixed juices were just too good. She had had a little too many.
She really hadn't thought to cause such trouble.
"Good."
And that was it. The next second, she was being flipped on her tummy, her hands cuffed and hair falling to the ground. And before she could attempt a complain, simmering pain stung her ass as a slapping sound resounded in the dead silent room. She couldn't flail her hands they were cuffed, she couldn't move her legs either as a firm arm pressed them down, so typically all she could do was yell, so she did, she yelled bloody Mary and teared up and when the sound and stinging pain repeated, she cried and hissed and yelled some more. The 'Pa' sounds that resounded when heavy hands met her thinly clothed bottom turned a dreadful music and even when she cried for help and begged for mercy it hadn't stopped. In the end, she started a train of promises, some she most definitely couldn't and wouldn't remember, and most of which she would never make in her right sense.
But who treated their wife like that?! She really didn't mean to go out that night , the dreadful hungover had been a lesson enough!
And finally when she was sure she wasn't going to be feeling her butt for a few days, the resounding claps stopped.
"That'll do. Now let's go over a lesson well learnt. Shall we, Honey~ What were you supposed to say when someone offered to take you out the estate? "
"He never said he was taking me out..." 'Pa'
"Ahh!"
"Wrong answer."
"But I'm telling the.. Ahh"
" Wrong, answer."
"You, why are you treating me like this, I really didn't. .." Pa! Pa! "Ahhh!"
" Wrong answer love. "
" What... Why are doing this to me? Ahh! okay! okay! I should've said no! okay! I should've said no! Ugh! I hate you! !"
"Good girl, and what should you have done next? "
"Called you.. " By now, she was too exasperated to utter a word more. She didn't and couldn't even comprehend what was going on, but she sure as hell knew she was being treated like a child! Otherwise who else whooped their wife because she did something wrong!
" See that wasn't so difficult to say. Have you learnt your lesson then, little purple?"
" Yes!"
" Tell me what did you learn ?"
"Yes"
She was protesting! Giving them another chance to amends. If she wasn't going to be allowed to explain and defend herself like an adult then a damned 'yes' is all they'd get from her.
But who would've thought her little protest would be welcomed with more unforgiving pain and resounding claps.
"Ahh! Dan I promise I'm never going to talk to you again!"
Pa! Pa!
"F*ck! Don! Do something... please!"
And yet dead silence is what greeted her plea. They'd both given up on her. She was a lonely woman now. She felt bullied.
" I should never leave the mansion." Her voice was hoarse and throaty and choking with sobs, in that instant she promised she was going to remember this for a lifetime! She was done with them.!
" Good, now get some rest, you're not allowed to leave this room, tomorrow we leave the Villa and return home, and unless you want to be locked up, you would do exactly that."
" Why in the world are you treating me like this, I just went out for a single night, I didn't ran away, or choose not to return. What is so wrong with leaving only for a while? Why am I not allowed to step out of this lone mansion."
Her words were soft, her voice had given up on her but it was enough to convey her annoyance and anger at the unfair treatment she'd just been given.
Just when she thought they were surely going to apologize, she heard a clink! And the cuffs that had been unbound by Dan before he placed her face down on the bed were once again branding her wrists. Her body effortlessly tried to resist as she felt the rough textured fabric being made to bind her feet too. She looked up to see the cold face of her Don, hah!-.. He had once been her Don. Now he bound her like he did the several slaves in his guild. She didn't know these men. She couldn't tell them apart from the ones who'd apologized endlessly a few nights ago.
"Don't run Pur." Warmth brushed her ear as Don whispered the words.
She has heard those words before, and each time they sounded different. She couldn't recall how or why but she felt it.
The dark strings that lapped around the words he just spilled.
It was a threat, not a consolation or a plea it was an assured vengeful dare, and why was it worse that it came from her Don. It broke her heart. More than it would if Dan had said it.
Oh right, her Don never lied, did he?.
They must really hate her now. They were the only ones for her, but guess she wasn't that for them. After all they had their family. More people to have and love them and all she ever had was just them. Her Don and her Dan. She had no one else waiting or visiting or... waiting...
'Maa would be waiting ...' The whisper was soft and passing like a dry season's breeze.
What was that, a fleeting thought it ran too fast, she couldn't catch it, and yet her heart ached at missing the message. What was it? What? Come back... please come back... Why does she feel whatever had just slipped past her mind was so important.
Now was not the time to think about passing thoughts.
Ugh yes, the only people she had as family now disliked her for breaking a promise, now she had no one to go to.
Worse of all she couldn't move. She was tied up and left to her own whims.
That night, her bed had grown as cold as her heart. The two men had never returned to the room.
The next morning, she had awoken to packed suit cases and uncuffed wrists and ankles.
They had set off without having breakfast.
The grand castle welcoming their solemn selves.
