Chapter 414 - Chapter 414: A True Doting Father Has Arrived

"Madara, I want to hit up the other shinobi villages first. Are you gonna hang back here with Chiyo, or...?"

To thoroughly crush the problem Madara had raised, make Konoha great again, and restore its simple, honest village spirit, Hashirama—the ultimate third wheel—finally spoke up and decided to scout out the other villages first.

"Go, Hashirama. Make sure you're thorough! This concerns Konoha's very future."

"As for me, I won't be tagging along. My current vessel is way too frail. If I follow you, I'll just drag you down again like I did back in Konoha.

"However, I can offer you a piece of advice. Focus entirely on observing the jinchūriki. They should be the most glaring targets in every village."

Madara smoothly rejected Hashirama's invitation and handed out some serious advice, playing the role of a concerned old friend to perfection.

In reality, this was the exact moment he'd been waiting for.

Only by tricking Hashirama—that glaring, massive third wheel—into bailing could he seize the perfect chance to completely win over Granny Chiyo, pull off his revival, and finish his master plan.

...

And so, every faction started making their moves.

Hashirama hijacked the Flying Raijin squad to speedrun through the major ninja villages, digging up intel on their bloodthirsty civilian populations.

Madara threw everything he had into romancing and deceiving Granny Chiyo, fully intent on scoring his resurrection.

The masked man started creeping around Naruto and Sasuke's little cabin, gearing up to snatch the Rinnegan.

Right around this time, a new player came knocking.

...

The fact that Amegakure's Akatsuki offered premium services—like miracle medical treatments and the Edo Tensei—in exchange for contribution points had already leaked to the upper brass of the major hidden villages.

Especially after Pakura got revived via Edo Tensei and strolled right back into Sunagakure.

With that massive precedent set, the secret blew way past the upper ranks.

The entire shinobi world knew about it.

However, contribution points were a bitch to earn.

If some average joe just grinded basic jobs, they might not scrape together enough points for a single Edo Tensei slot in an entire lifetime.

On top of that, the guy running the project was Orochimaru.

The snake freak's terrifying reputation preceded him.

Because of that, even though the news flooded the ninja world, Amegakure hadn't turned into a crowded tourist trap, nor did any massive riots break out.

But the guy who showed up on their doorstep this time actually managed to surprise Makoto.

Though, after doing some quick mental math on the guy's age, Makoto realized it made perfect sense for him to pop up right about now.

The guy who walked in was named Amado Sanzu.

If you skipped Boruto, or only watched the early arcs, you probably wouldn't know this guy.

Amado was the chief scientist of Kara—Isshiki Ōtsutsuki's shady organization during the Boruto era.

The guy churned out a massive arsenal of Scientific Ninja Tools and ran an ungodly amount of illegal human experiments.

Just to fuel Isshiki's resurrection via Karma, he tested on kids, eventually creating Kawaki—who could actually handle the Karma—and Code, who was stuck with a defective White Karma.

He somehow dug up the genes of the literal Ōtsutsuki God, Shibai, and spliced them to create Daemon and Eida.

Then, just to backstab and defeat Isshiki, he went ahead and cloned Jiraiya, giving birth to Kashin Koji.

The man completely flipped the script, jumping from a core villain to a core member of the protagonist's squad.

You could honestly argue Amado was the origin point of everything in Boruto.

He was basically the Ultraman Hikari of the ninja world—the ultimate plot device.

Put a bullet in him early, and the rest of the storyline would literally cease to exist.

So why did Amado bounce between factions like a damn ping-pong ball?

The reason was actually dead simple.

His daughter, Akebi Sanzu, had died of an illness.

Anyone who ever played Asura's Wrath understood one universal rule: never underestimate the sheer, world-ending potential of a pissed-off father fighting for his daughter!

Amado only joined Isshiki and grinded out cloning tech because he wanted to hijack Ōtsutsuki power to resurrect his little girl.

That golden-blonde, long-legged cyborg Delta—the crazy chick who literally stepped on Naruto like a reward—was cloned by Amado using his dead daughter's genes.

However, the personality gap between the two was absolutely massive.

That wasn't an accident, though.

Just to give his "daughter" enough firepower to resist Isshiki, Amado hardcoded brutal combat subroutines and a frigid, battle-junkie personality into her brain.

The tragic result? The person Delta hated most in the entire world was Amado himself.

He totally brought that crap on himself.

Besides, at the end of the day, a lab-grown clone didn't actually count as a true resurrection.

Once that reality checked in, and after realizing Isshiki planned to obliterate the planet—meaning even if his daughter came back, she'd have no home to live in—Amado decisively flipped him the bird and defected to the good guys.

As for which hidden village Amado originally hailed from, the canon lore never bothered explaining it.

However, now that Amado popped into the timeline early, he spilled his own backstory.

Strangely enough, Amado was actually from the Land of Rain, though he wasn't a registered resident of Amegakure itself.

That perfectly explained how Amado managed to scoop up Jiraiya's corpse in the original timeline and use it for cloning in the Boruto era, while the ultimate grave-robbing gremlin, Yakushi Kabuto, failed to secure the Edo Tensei DNA.

At the same time, in the original story, after the Akatsuki went under, Amegakure effectively became Kara's home base.

In that context, it made sense for Amado to get recruited right in Amegakure's backyard.

Furthermore, looking at Amado's insane R&D foundation, across the entire ninja world—aside from Kumogakure, which literally built a human-launching moon cannon in one of the movies—only Amegakure possessed the heavy industrial environment to support that kind of tech.

If you crunched the timeline, back when the Akatsuki was still kicking in the original plot, Amado's daughter was still breathing.

All of his time and energy was completely drained just trying to keep her alive.

Once the Akatsuki collapsed, his daughter tragically flatlined right around the same time.

Driven by pure despair, Amado started scavenging the leftover technological intel abandoned by Amegakure's Akatsuki, reverse-engineering and studying it.

From there, he pivoted into grinding out Scientific Ninja Tools and conquering advanced cloning tech.

The only reason Amado showed up on their doorstep now was specifically because his daughter was critically ill, and he caught wind that Amegakure offered miracle medical services.

Kaguya Kimimaro, who used to be riddled with an incurable bone disease, Ringo Ameyuri, and the frail, sickly Kurama Yakumo were all walking, breathing billboards for their success rate.

With that kind of track record, Amado naturally came hunting for a sliver of hope.

The glaring problem was that he wasn't the god-tier scientist Amado who hoarded an encyclopedic vault of futuristic tech yet.

Since his daughter was still alive, he dumped all his energy into her care, leaving him practically no time to dive into any heavy R&D.

Because of that, he had absolutely no assets to trade for "contribution points."

However, he also heard through the grapevine that Pakura's Edo Tensei run in Sunagakure hadn't been paid for with upfront points.

Instead, they had taken out a loan from some deep-pocketed sponsor.

Unfortunately, that specific sponsor's remaining points were totally dried up by now.

Left without options, Amado figured that instead of running around begging random strangers for a handout, he might as well march straight up to the executives and pitch them for a direct loan.

As long as they could save his little girl, he'd happily sign his life away into eternal, unpaid indentured servitude.

And so, here he was.

Makoto gave Orochimaru a quick rundown of Amado's insane future achievements.

Orochimaru's snake-like eyes instantly lit up.

"Now this is a talented man."

Then, a look of deep regret flashed across Orochimaru's pale face. "What a pity. Fate has already been altered. Who knows where his original timeline counterpart even managed to dig up the genes of an Ōtsutsuki God?"

Clearly, out of all the crazy lore Makoto just dumped, the shiny prize Orochimaru cared about most was still those busted Ōtsutsuki God genes that birthed Daemon, Eida, and Kashin Koji... And the ridiculous, reality-bending concept of Shinjutsu that came packaged with them!
