Chapter 75 - 5 DAYS (2)

AKAME ASSASINATION (11)

Blake when I get my hands on you…" Joy cut her phone conversation short… or rather she cut her voice mail short. She was in an awkward position, left all by herself to take care of a man whose influence might just save their village from in coming doom.

 No pressure or anything.

"I can see that you are feeling distressed." Germain said. The two still sat at the cafe, he had ordered a coffee since Blake left probably over 2 hours ago.

"Me distressed?" Joy leaned back on her chair, "What makes you think that?"

"Sweaty palms, nervous laughter, no attempt at small talk whatsoever, we've been in the same spot for hours at this point." Germain explained, "Oh and also I can hear you when you pretend to go to the bathroom to send those voice mails."

 Joy shrugged, "Its that obvious."

"You live as long as I have you learn to pick these things up."

Joy got a bit curious, "So people are usually nervous around you?"

"Something of the sort." He had a habit of hitting the side of the ceramic cup, this would form waves on his coffee, with the addition of a ting! Sound.

 "Sorry, I'm a bit… shy I guess."

"You should know I have no intention of hurting you or anyone else in this village for that matter. No matter what you might think of me, I hold no malice in my heart."

 "Really?"

 "Of course."

"So its safe for me to say you look more like a woman that you do a man?"

And then out of nowhere Germain couldn't hold back his laughter, "Ha! You really do like pushing your luck." His laughter was subtle almost silent.

 "Not intentionally."

"I know, now that we've broken the ice. Why don't we proparly introduce ourselves?" Germain's warm smile seemed to urge her to reveal everything about herself both good and bad.

 "Mr…"

 "No formalities please."

"Oh… Germain." She pulled her hair back and unconsciously played with it, twirling it around her index finger, "I'm Joy."

SOMEWHERE WE'VE BEEN BEFORE

'I'm Joy.' Blake could hear Joy's voice over the intercoms they had made the previous day. He had put one on her unknowingly, if she were to ever find out Blake's head would be rolling.

"Hopefully she never has to find out." He chuckled to himself as they approached the manner.

It looked a bit different this time round, as though the souls that once inhabited it had left and with them the air of mystery surrounding this place. Now it just looked like an old rusty house with nothing supernatural about it.

In fact the wall of fragment pressure wasn't their anymore, perhaps it had to do with the death of the Pumpkin patch children, but either way it was good for him since he could get his equipment in.

"All right people we've got a rough couple of days coming up."

Blake wore his classic green pajamas with a green shirt, over which he wore an oversized green jacket. On his head was a white bucket hat with… yes green stripes. The bucket hat directed all of his long hair at his face.

"Dr.Blake." The woman in with a tablet close to her chest called him.

"Yes Purity?" (If you don't remember her check chapter 9)

"Everything has been set up back at the village." She lifted her tablet and began to scroll, "Would you like to check out the configuration?"

"Nah, I'll take your word for it." Blake spun around, with him he had brought an entire crew of people some from the dojo and others from his own personal roster. All these people gathered here and now not for much, but as a thank you.

 "Dr.Blake?" Someone called out.

 "What's up Carlos?"

 "Isn't this place haunted?"

"You can't be seriously asking that?" A girl from the group commented, "Those are just stories they told us to make us go to sleep early."

"Yeah, there's nothing creepy about this place." Another boy answered from the back of the group.

Right here, right now on this very day, assembled 50 people not including Blake. 10 of which were Blake's own picks, he had recruited them straight from there homes just a few days after Akame had awaken. The remaining 30 were muscle brought in from Eugene training facility for the elite, I couldn't tell you why he named it that.

One of the 10 was a girl, her name was Purity no last name recorded. Her parents had tragically died during the many nights of Malediction that plagued their small village. It was really a tough time for her, never getting to see her parents one last time. She was actually Blake's first ever pick, unknown to her Blake had picked her out years before the night of malediction anyway.

"Of course their just stories." Purity threw her hat into the ring.

"No." Blake actually answered after a long silence, "This place was haunted… technically its still is."

 "!"

"I knew it!" Carlos gritted his teeth, "I can sense the spirits from the beyond."

"However, you don't have to worry too much about it. The spirits here are at peace." Thanks to Gil, "In any case we should begin the set up, after which we can do what we're here to do."

"Which is?" Emma, another of the 10, asked.

"You'll see." Is all he said with a smile before looking at the great gates he stood out of.

'Something's been bugging me since that day Gil, Akame.' He thought to himself, 'And now I believe whatever it was has just revealed itself. How is it that only a day after you leave your bounty suddenly became active?'

Blake was a cautious man, well not really, he did posses many back-up plans that he called into action when most of failed. Although he never had to resort to most of them. This was a first for him, it would mean that someone had gotten passed his.

PERFECT PREDICTION!

Which if you asked most people was unheard of. Whoever this was probably had a bone left to pick with Akame, which was within his prediction.

"You won't be able to hide for too much longer." He looked at the hand held phone he gripped onto. On it he had sent a voice message, one which he mumbled to himself. "Five days, Akame you have five days to get to the capital. Within those five days I shall find the one behind your active bounty."

BACK TO MOLO

"How much longer will we wait brother?" From a distance two tall shadows sat and waited in a bush, a bush that had a very parculiar name. "Wait a minute, they shall arrive just now."

These two seemed to be waiting for something or maybe someone.

"Ahh, I see her. But who is carrying her?"

 "It is one of them."

 "One of who?"

 "The white folk."

"But she has dark skin." Asked the younger brother, "Doesn't that mean she is one of us?"

"Do not be foolish, I could slap you right now. You are lucky I have no extra energy for that."

"Eh, why are you like this."

"Shh!" The older brother squinted his eyes, "She doesn't seemt to be moving, is she dead?"

 "Dead, isn't that bad."

"You really are a fool." The older brother insulted, "This is good, if Nala is dead it means…"

"Oh, we can…. we can… what does that mean."

The older brother sighed, "May Were help us. Let's just go."

He dragged his brother as the both of them sneaked to the tree, under which rested a white man with white hair.
