Somewhere in the mountains of Japan; the Genbu Temple...
Chun-Li had been enjoying the quiet life ever since Shadaloo been conquered. He also now gains a large single torn reddish brown tarp-like cloth on the left side which reaches through his right waist and the cloth itself was adorned with a large gold ring to keep themselves attached. The tarp-like cloth that he wears is actually a kasaya to make a near resemblance to the same gi worn by his master Gouken. It seems he's become a full master in his own right. This is Ryu.
Chun-Li: Wow. He was handsome before, but that beard adds to it. And...I don't think I've ever seen his bare chest before.
Chun-Li quickly regains herself and walks over to the meditating Ryu. She gets closer and for a while says nothing. But then she goes to...only for him to speak suddenly.

Ryu Vs. Chun-Li
Chun-Li is the first to make her move, crouching to her feet and then jumping into the air! Her bright blue gi glints in the sun as she proceeds to do a headstand, then rotate her hips into a spin! Chun-Li's Kaitenteki Kakukyakushu, the Spinning Bird Kick, to open up this spar. Ryu stands his ground to take the incoming attack, raising his hand to block the first kick! But Chun-Li's rotation has her other legs — outstretched in a split — coming at him as well. Ryu is forced to duck the second one, then backflip to gain some ground as he attempts to gain some ground. He then preps a counter in the form of charging a bright blue fireball in-between his hands...
Ryu: HADOKEN!
Ryu casts the brilliant blue ball of energy forward to catch Chun-Li mid-attack, but she catches the ground with her hands and sticks both hands out to conjure an orange ball of power with a blue aura!
Chun-Li: KIKOUKEN!
The Hadoken is upon her as Chun-Li fires the blast: they connect and explode in her face, forcing her to put her arm up to shield her face from the resulting dust!
Chun-Li (Thinking): I almost got hit! Such a quick reaction from him!
But how quickly she sees for herself, as Ryu rushes from the cloud, sweeping the ground underneath her with a slide kick! Chun-Li backflips out of the way as Ryu follows, his hand now blazing with fire!
Ryu: SHORYUKEN!
Chun-Li gasps as Ryu rears up with a fearsome, energy-wreathed uppercut! Chun-Li barely avoids it, blasting the ground underneath her with a Kikouken to give her the propelling she needs to get out of the way! The strongest woman in the world lands about 5 feet away from Ryu, counting her blessings that her Kikouken gave her the escape she needed.
Chun-Li: Phew...!
The way Ryu moved is exactly how she remembered from their final battle against Shadaloo, and maybe even more. It was this measure of strength that defeated Bison for good and stopped the Black Moon scheme.
Ryu: Was I too forceful? I allowed you to have the opening attack, yet you retreated quite quickly.
Chun-Li shakes her head and smiles.
Chun-Li: No, that was amazing. You always surprise me the more we fight.
Ryu: I always find out something new from you whenever we get one-on-one time. But perhaps I say that about all my friends when I pit my skills against them.
Chun-Li: By now, your skills have no match. And I may be out of tricks.
Ryu: I doubt that. Show me your limits. I welcome the challenge.
Chun-Li lifts her leg into another fighting stance, prepping her next move.
Chun-Li: Alright... as long as you are honest with me about the power that destroyed Bison.
Ryu: Fair deal.
They both get into their fighting stances again. Ryu this time is the one to make the first move. Chun-Li rushes ahead as well, and both deliver Drive Impact attacks. Ryu with a hard-driving fist, and Chun with a swift and graceful kick! The attacks both are powerful, that it sends them both a few feet from each other. Chun though rushes again and goes to deliver her well-known famous rapid speed kicks, Ryu parries each one of them, but is swept by Chun. He gets back up quickly. Chun-Li then sees Ryu ready to perform his other signature move.
Ryu: TATSUMAKI SENPUKAYAKU!
Ryu performs a spinning airplane kick towards Chun and she ducks the attack, surprised and intrigued by the move.
Chun-Li: Whoa...
Chun though takes advantage and rushes at Ryu, but he suspected this and grabs her arm and throws her over his shoulder, onto the ground. Ryu then tries to grab at her again, but Chun grabs his head between her ankles and slams him down in return.
Ryu: Not bad.
Chun-Li: Not bad yourself.
They then rush again, and get into close-range combat, looking for strikes and kicks to connect, but both parry all of their oncoming attacks. Chun-Li then with great ability and agility leaps at Ryu, going behind him! But, again, Ryu grabs at her this time by her arms.
Ryu: Not good enough!
Ryu gives her a monkey flip, but Chun-Li lands on her feet, rushes at him, elbows his sternum, and flips him over her.
Chun-Li (Smirking): Was that better?
Ryu kips up and gets into his stance again. Then much to Chun's shock, Ryu starts charging electricity around himself, conjuring a Denjin Charge!
Chun-Li: What...!?
Ryu then fires off multiple Hadokens at Chun, but with more power amplified into them thanks to the Denjin Charge. Chun dodges the first one moving left, the second one she did a split as it went over her, the third she does a front flip over, and the fourth one she lets comes close to her, only to dodge Matrix style by moving her body to the right in the nick of time.
Regaining herself, Chun-Li takes a deep breath after barely evading those Hadokens. Once again, she is surprised by Ryu's progress. The Denjin Charge allows Ryu to tap into the Power of Nothingness, boosting his energy in every way. If one of those had hit her, she might've been rendered unable to battle further.
Chun-Li (Thinking): To be able to fire such devastating blasts all at once... it's taking everything in my power to evade him. He is most certainly the strongest man on this planet... at least, I believe so.
And as electricity fizzles across Ryu's form from the Denjin Charge, he reflects on her resourcefulness in this match. His force against her precision.
Ryu (Thinking): She was able to dodge my attack, even with the Denjin... I'm slowly adding more pressure, and she is keeping up with me... like Ken, she is among a special few who truly fulfills my desire for a challenge whenever we meet. She is astounding.
This being Ryu, he means it as a compliment to her fighting skills. Having devoted himself fully to his training, he has never dwelled excessively on other pleasures, such as love. Chun-Li (Thinking): That blasted Ken! He did tell him!
Chun-Li, nevertheless, has to make do as Ryu whirls at him with a furious assault, a fast flurry of punches and kicks driving Chun-Li back before he unleashes the Shoryuken... so Chun-Li does the unthinkable. She skips back as Ryu readies the Shoryuken, and fires a Kikouken at his fist!
