Among the "Four Healers" of the Sorcerer Universe, Mahito's ability was in a league of its own.
While Shoko Ieiri, Yuta Okkotsu, and Sukuna used Reverse Cursed Technique to regenerate cells, Mahito's Idle Transfiguration interfered with the soul itself. It could reshape the body's fundamental structure, fixing complications that standard healing couldn't touch. In the second season of JJK, the character Mechamaru, twisted and broken by a Heavenly Restriction had no choice but to deal with the villains because only Mahito could reshape his body into a normal human form.
After Your Lie in April finished filming, Leo Vance occasionally visited Chloe Summers for "treatment." According to the System, Idle Transfiguration required three cycles to "correct" her Acute Neuritis. Each session required only ten seconds of physical contact once a week. To Chloe, it felt like a warm, strange hum in her nerves; to Leo, it was a tactical expenditure of prestige points to ensure his lead actress survived to see her success.
Early April. Hollywood.
Post-production was completed in record time. Thanks to the "Vance Factor" and the massive success of Hidden Inventory, the official review process was bypassed by eager distributors. Your Lie in April was scheduled to air in mid-April on the Global Stream app.
The promotional PV was released with several large, shimmering taglines: [HEALING][TOUCHING][WARMTH]
The official Jujutsu Kaisen accounts collaborated, cross-promoting the drama. When fans realized that Leo Vance was both the director and the male lead, the internet went into a frenzy.
["Your Lie in April? That's a beautiful name. And a healing drama? I need that after what happened to Riko!"]
["Who is the female lead? Chloe Summers? I've never heard of her. If Leo picked an unknown, she must be special."]
["Wait, is that Leo? He looks... rounder? And those thick glasses? He looks completely different from Gojo Satoru!"]
["I'm a senior in high school, and the pressure is killing me. I hope this drama can heal my heart before my finals!"]
UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. 7:00 PM.
Inside several multimedia lecture halls, over a thousand students were gathered. To an outsider, it looked like a massive study session. In reality, they were all there to watch the premiere of Your Lie in April.
The hype at UCLA was largely driven by Chloe and Ava. Since the "Hidden Inventory" premiere, Ava had become a legend on campus. Her portrayal of Riko Amanai was a source of collective regret, and seeing her alive and well, felt like a successful Fandom culture experience for the students.
Because of the demand, the university had opened ten additional rooms, but Chloe's reserved seating room remained the most coveted.
"Everyone, don't worry!" Chloe shouted over the chatter. "I heard from my brother that this movie is very healing! It's perfect for students under pressure!"
"I watched Hidden Inventory five times!" a student named Will shouted from the back.
"I watched it twelve times!" Ava chimed in, laughing.
The students crowded around Ava, asking for autographs and sharing their "trauma" from her previous role. "Ava, it's so good to see you breathing!" "I cried all night when you died... my mom thought I had the flu!" "If you say this drama is healing, I'm trusting you to fix my broken heart!"
The Premiere Begins.
The first three episodes of the eleven-part series dropped simultaneously. As the screen unfolded, the visuals of the falling cherry blossoms in a scenic California campus were breathtaking. Leo had chosen a scenic school near Santa Barbara during peak bloom to capture the "Spring" aesthetic.
When Leo appeared as Arima Kousei, the audience gasped. Gone was the "Honored One" with the divine strut. Arima Kousei was slumped, quiet, and wore thick glasses that hid his eyes. It was a complete transformation, proving once again that Leo's acting was peerless.
The plot immediately delved into Kousei's childhood trauma. His mother, a failed pianist, had trained him with "Abusive Perfectionism" to become a world-renowned virtuoso. Lester (young Gojo) played the young Kousei, and his performance was heartbreaking.
The audience watched as a young Kousei, played by Lester, was reprimanded by his mother in a wheelchair. "You are meant to perform on the European stage in my place!" she hissed, striking his hands with a cane.
"As long as Mama can be happy and get well soon, I will work hard!" the young Kousei smiled through his tears, a fawning yet determined expression that made the UCLA students wince.
["I hate that mother! Projecting your unfulfilled dreams on a kid is child abuse!"]
["Poor Kousei... I just want to give him a hug!"]
["The acting of this kid is too good. It makes me want to cry immediately."]
["It's no wonder he hates the piano now. Music was a cage for him."]
Just as the grey, monochromatic world of Arima Kousei seemed to reach its lowest point, a girl appeared.
Kaori Miyazono (Chloe Summers).
She stood on a playground structure, playing a melodica for the local children. The music was vibrant, chaotic, and full of life. As she turned to look at Kousei, a tear slid down Leo's face on the screen, and in the UCLA lecture hall, a thousand hearts skipped a beat.
The "Healing" had begun. But Leo Vance sat in his office, looking at the engagement metrics, and whispered to himself:
"Wait until you find out the lie."
