As the main cast for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie assembled at the Burbank production hub, the energy was electric.
Finn Blake (Yuta Okkotsu), Robert Sterling (Suguru Geto), Jade (Maki Zen'in), and Leo Vance (Gojo Satoru) were all present. But alongside these established stars was a new face: a child star named Olivia Margaret.
Olivia had been cast as Rika Orimoto. As the "Queen of Curses," Rika was a character that demanded a specific, haunting innocence. Leo had hand-picked Olivia after catching a glimpse of her raw talent in a series of obscure audition clips and a brief, unsettling cameo she had played in a minor independent film. This little girl possessed a rare "fierceness" in her eyes, a feeling that she could transform from a sweet child to a dark entity at any moment. She was the perfect vessel for the Queen of Curses.
On his first day at the studio, Leo received a message from Chloe Summers.
He learned that she had been officially discharged from the hospital and was practically vibrating with a desire to return to work. Her parents, Arthur and Catherine, couldn't stop her; Chloe was determined to get back to the Celestial Peak family.
Leo immediately recruited her into the studio's official talent roster. Chloe's parents happily agreed. Although they didn't know that Leo had literally saved her life through Idle Transfiguration, in their eyes, he was their daughter's savior. Her "miraculous" recovery on the night of her surgery was a mystery to the medical world, but a source of eternal gratitude for the Summers family.
Knowing Chloe had been cooped up in a sterile ward for half a month, Leo figured she was bored. Coincidentally, the company was hosting a major event in the valley: The Jujutsu Kaisen World Expo.
Normally, Leo avoided these fan-heavy exhibitions, but he decided to take Chloe to relax. However, the news spread through the "JJK Crew" group chat like wildfire. When the other actors heard Leo and the "April Maiden" were going to the expo, they all wanted in.
The next day, when they gathered at the hotel lobby in Burbank, Leo realized something was very off.
The main cast of the movie was only five or six people. But standing in front of him was a small army.
Finn Blake (Yuta), Robert Sterling (Geto), Audrey (Maki), Della Rose (Nobara), Lucas Miller (Yuji), Tiffany (Yuki Tsukumo), Maya West, Cecilia...
"Good lord," Leo muttered, rubbing his temples. "Are we going to an expo or are we starting a professional soccer team?"
Tiffany had played Yuki Tsukumo, so her presence made sense. But Maya West? Leo learned that Maya was in town for a photoshoot, and after hearing the plan from Della, she had signed up with frantic enthusiasm.
There was nothing Leo could do but order a fleet of black SUVs to ferry the "Real JJK Squad" to the convention center.
Usually, Leo wouldn't waste time at an exhibition, but the Marketing Department at Celestial Peak was ecstatic about his attendance. They had organized a special promotion for the "Whales" of the fandom.
The expo featured a "Premium Gojo Satoru Set", a high-fidelity uniform, wig, custom shades, and tailored boots priced at a staggering $6,666. Normally, the marketing team expected to sell only three or four of these high-ticket items. But this time, they added a catch: Anyone who purchased the set would get an autograph and a private photo with Leo Vance himself.
Leo agreed. Making money for the studio wasn't shameful, and he knew the price point would keep the line manageable so he could still enjoy his day with the cast.
Backstage at the expo, the organizers had prepared a surprise.
Since they were at a cosplay exhibition, Leo decided the group should "blend in." He provided movie-quality costumes for the entire squad. These weren't the polyester versions sold on the floor; these were the actual high-stitch-count suits used on set.
When they emerged from the dressing rooms, they didn't just look like cosplayers, they looked like the characters had stepped through a rift in reality.
"Holy crap! This is awesome!" Maya West exclaimed, looking at the line-up in the mirror.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Bella laughed, testing the weight of a prop hammer and nails. "The texture is incredible! It feels real!"
Audrey (Maki) swung her long spear with a terrifying, practiced precision. Finn Blake (Yuta) stood quietly to the side, unsheathing his katana with a focused, melancholy air that sent chills down the staff's spines.
Mason Knight (Nanami) curiously stroked the large, blunt sword wrapped in spotted striped cloth. He adjusted his signature goggles, looking every bit the weary salaryman sorcerer.
"So handsome! Absolutely stunning!" Chloe Summers (Kaori) cheered from the side, her eyes shining as she rested her face in her hands.
Chloe was "cosplaying" as her own character, Kaori Miyazono, wearing the iconic school uniform. She didn't even need a wig; with her flowing blonde hair and vibrant smile, anyone who had seen Your Lie in April recognized her instantly.
Leo Vance adjusted his own black blindfold, the silver-white hair of Gojo Satoru styled to perfection. He looked at his team, the most powerful lineup in the history of the industry.
"Alright," Leo said, his voice dropping into that familiar, playful, yet dangerous Gojo tone. "Let's go. It's time to give the fans a heart attack."
The "Real" Jujutsu Kaisen actors stepped out from behind the curtain and headed straight into the heart of the exhibition.
