Leo Vance had never encountered a voyeuristic creep in his life until this moment. He didn't judge the Burbank Character Cosplay Expo for it, after all, a single bad actor didn't define a community he had loved since his previous life.
At this moment, everyone's gaze was fixed on Karina and Heno Hana at the center of the stage. A massive, cheering circle had formed around them. Because Leo's "Six Eyes" intuition and physical senses were at their peak, he was likely the only person who spotted the predator in the crowd.
"A little closer... just one more shot..."
Just as the voyeur revealed a triumphant, greasy smile, a hand, firm as an iron clamp gripped his right wrist.
"What do you think you're doing?" a cold, melodic voice rang in his ear.
"Holy crap!" The man jumped, a chill running down his spine. He had been certain no one was watching; he was buried in the middle of a dense crowd. How could someone appear behind him so suddenly? He hadn't even seen this person a second ago.
"It hurts! Let go! Who the hell are you?!" The man turned, ready to curse.
Then he saw a face. An extremely handsome face, one that was a 1:1 recreation of the Gojo Satoru from the Hidden Inventory posters.
"Am I seeing ghosts?" the man stammered. "Did he walk off the screen?"
At that exact moment, the crowd surrounding them felt an invisible, irresistible force. If anyone had been looking closely, they would have seen Leo Vance at the epicenter of a spatial distortion. Everyone within a five-yard radius found themselves pushed back exactly five steps.
The process had happened in a blur. Leo had realized the crowd was too thick to navigate normally, so he had activated the "Gojo Satoru Template" granted by the System.
First, he used "Blue", the attractive force to compress the space between himself and the target, achieving near-instantaneous movement. Then, he activated "Red", the repulsive force. Unlike the destructive "Red" from the anime, the System's version allowed Leo to control it with divine subtlety. It functioned more like a gravitational pulse, an "Almighty Push" that cleared the area without harming a soul.
The attendees were bewildered. They only felt a powerful pressure controlling their bodies. By the time they realized they had moved, a large, empty circle had opened up in the middle of the hall.
Leo's friends, including Chloe Summers and Maya West, were just as confused. They only realized everyone was staring at Leo.
"You were taking photos, weren't you?" Leo's voice was loud, cutting through the murmurs of the convention. "Hand over the phone."
Almost every eye in the building was now on Leo. When they saw the him standing there, his hair catching the light, a cold, lethal smile on his face the audience was stunned. It was the exact expression Gojo Satoru wore when he faced Toji Fushiguro after his resurrection.
The whispers began instantly.
["Holy crap! Who is this guy? The cosplay is... it's too real!"]
["How does he look more like Gojo than Karina? Did the animation studio create a cyborg?"]
["That smile! It's like Gojo Satoru is actually possessing him!"]
["Does he have an Instagram? I need to follow him immediately!"]
"Who the hell are you? What right do you have to touch my property?" the voyeur shouted, his desperation turning into aggression.
"Who am I?" Leo glanced at him indifferently.
He reached out. The man felt an invisible force. His right hand was pushed away as if by a gust of wind, and the phone slipped from his fingers.
"Oh! Look at that. A wild phone," Leo said, feigning surprise as he caught the device before it hit the floor.
The screen was still on, displaying a gallery of illicit photos. The man tried to lunge for it, but he found he couldn't move, the space around him felt heavy and frozen. By now, the Expo security had arrived.
"Security! This guy assaulted me! Arrest him!" the creep yelled.
However, the two guards didn't look at Leo. They looked at the phone screen, then back at the man. They grabbed him by the arms, dragging him toward the exit.
Leo spread his hands toward the onlookers, a playful smirk returning to his face. "Officer, I didn't even touch him. Everyone here saw it, he tripped on a banana peel and dropped his phone."
The crowd, realizing what the man had been doing, immediately backed Leo up. "That's right! I saw the banana peel!" "Totally slipped! I can testify!" "+1 for the banana peel!"
The voyeur looked at the spotless, polished floor, then at Leo, who was spouting pure nonsense. He looked like he was about to vomit from rage, but he had no choice but to be hauled away by the guards.
With the predator gone, Leo found himself the new center of attention. A group of female fans and cosplayers surrounded him, their faces glowing with smiles.
"Brother! You look insane! Exactly like Leo Vance's Gojo!" "What's your TikTok? Please tell me!"
A group of other "Gojo" cosplayers squeezed over, looking both jealous and impressed. "I declare you've won 3rd place in the Gojo Satoru contest!" a guy with a thick Texas accent shouted. "I, the Texas Gojo, am 2nd! Karina is 1st!" "Forget him! I'm the Jersey Gojo! I should be 2nd!" another one argued.
Leo was considering using another gravitational pulse to clear a path when Manager Miller quickly stepped onto the stage, followed by more security to separate the crowd.
"Everyone, attention!" Miller shouted into a microphone. "Before the Expo started, we told you we had a guest joining us today, didn't we?"
Manager Miller looked at the crowd, then at Leo, a proud grin on his face. "That mysterious guest... is the Honored One himself. Mr. Leo Vance!"
Leo Vance?
The convention hall went silent. The "Texas Gojo" froze, his mouth hanging open.
Leo looked at the guy, patted his shoulder with a smile, and dropped his Gojo voice into his real one. "No, brother. If you're Gojo Satoru... then who the hell am I?"
