Chapter 133 - Chapter 132: Encounter

Boom! Boom! Boom!

In the Land of Wind, the sky gradually darkened.

Two Tailed Beasts galloped swiftly across the desert, leaving behind swirling yellow sand and billowing dust.

Minato sat atop the Two-Tails, racing toward Sunagakure.

Before long, Sunagakure appeared in the distance.

"Enemy attack!"

As a guard shouted, figures materialized on the village walls.

Granny Chiyo and Ebizo came out to meet the two colossal beasts as they slowly halted. A glint of astonishment flashed in their eyes.

Though they had long known Minato could coexist peacefully with Tailed Beasts, seeing him personally command such massive creatures still left the people of Sunagakure in awe.

"Namikaze Minato—" Chiyo's expression turned grave.

"A pleasure to meet you, Lady Chiyo," Minato replied, his gaze instantly confirming her identity. "May I have Shukaku?"

"You've come at an unfortunate time. Sunagakure's Jinchūriki passed away recently," Chiyo sighed, her tone filled with regret. "Bunpuku was of my generation. We never expected him to depart before we could select his successor—"

"It doesn't matter. The corpse will suffice," Minato stated indifferently. "Hand over his body."

Chiyo's pupils constricted slightly, surprised by Minato's words.

Didn't you come for the Tailed Beast? Why do you need the body?

"What? Is there a problem?" Minato lowered his head slightly, the moonlight behind him casting a silver glow that deepened the shadows in his eyes.

"No—" Chiyo shook her head, quickly ordering her men to dig up Bunpuku's corpse.

After Minato sealed Bunpuku's body and left with the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails, the Sunagakure ninjas quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Minato, what do you need that body for?" Gyūki asked after they had put some distance between themselves and Sunagakure.

"Konoha has a forbidden technique called Impure World Reincarnation. It can summon a person from the Pure Land, but it requires the deceased's information and a sacrifice." Minato explained, "If the resurrected person was a Jinchūriki, they would also carry the Tailed Beast's Chakra."

"I see—" Gyūki nodded in understanding, then let out a cold laugh. "Those idiots at Sunagakure probably killed the Jinchūriki out of fear that you'd steal the Tailed Beast, hoping to take the beast down with him. But they miscalculated this time."

"Why do you say that?" Minato asked curiously. "Even if I revived the Jinchūriki, I'd only get a portion of Shukaku's Chakra, right?"

"No, Tailed Beasts generally regenerate in the natural world within three to five years, reappearing in locations that match their Chakra nature."

Gyūki explained, "Take Shukaku, for instance. He'll definitely be reborn in the desert. That's probably why those guys felt confident killing him. But they don't realize that if a place has Tailed Beast Chakra, the beast will be reborn from that residual Chakra."

"If Matatabi dies, she'll most likely resurrect within you. That's because your body contains her residual Chakra. In fact, if the amount of Chakra is sufficient, it can significantly shorten the time it takes for a Tailed Beast to be reborn."

"Is that so—"

Minato nodded in understanding. Just as he was wondering where to find a sacrifice to perform Impure World Reincarnation on a Jinchūriki, a sudden, violent surge of Chakra erupted in the distance.

Moments later, a ferocious sandstorm swept out from the depths of the desert.

Matatabi flicked her tail, her long feline tail shielding Minato from the swirling sand and wind.

"Such a powerful Chakra fluctuation!"

Gyūki's expression turned grave. "This Chakra... it feels strangely familiar."

"Familiar?"

Minato noticed Gyūki's choice of words. "Have you encountered this Chakra before?"

Gyūki shook his head. "I don't remember, but it gives me a dangerous feeling."

Dangerous—

Minato frowned. Apart from the enraged Nine-Tailed Beast, what else could make Gyūki feel uneasy?

As he pondered this, Matatabi beneath him suddenly arched her back. "Something's coming!"

As the words faded, a frenzied roar suddenly erupted from the sandstorm—a sound like that of a ferocious beast or a wailing ghost.

The roar generated such powerful wind pressure that it dispersed the sandstorm, finally revealing the source of the sound.

It was a figure cloaked in black, seemingly ordinary. In its hand, it clutched a transparent crystal ball.

Minato noticed the figure's aged hand, and a name suddenly sprang to mind:

Uchiha Madara!

At this time, no one in the entire Shinobi World would dare confront him in such a provocative manner except Madara.

Yet, for some unknown reason, Minato couldn't sense any Chakra from the figure.

That old bastard still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve!

So that roar must have been the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, right?

But without the chakra of a Tailed Beast, and in his frail state, wouldn't the statue drain him dry?

Then—how is he controlling the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path?

Minato's gaze fell on the crystal ball in the other person's hand, his mind racing with calculations while his expression remained impassive.

"What is it you need, sir?"

"Nothing... I just wanted you to see something—"

As the black-cloaked figure spoke, he tossed the crystal ball high into the air.

Without hesitation, Minato instantly unleashed Sealing Techniques, simultaneously sealing Matatabi and Gyūki within himself.

At the same moment, the crystal ball seemed to cling to the full moon in the sky, transforming into a crimson hue. Within that crimson glow, a dragon-like pattern materialized.

A flash of white light emanated from the crystal ball, and simultaneously, Minato vanished from his spot.

Whoosh—

After a flicker in place, Minato reappeared in the desert. The black-cloaked figure was gone, and the desert's terrain had subtly shifted.

"What happened?" Gyūki asked from within the Sealing Space.

"It seems we were caught in some kind of jutsu, but it's nothing serious."

Minato replied, "I have some suspicions, but it seems you'll have to stay inside me for a while. That guy is likely after you."

"It's fine. I quite like it here," Matatabi said, settling down with elegant grace. After all, she had intended to stay with Minato anyway.

Gyūki expressed concern. "Can you handle the power of two Tailed Beasts simultaneously?"

"I... feel alright," Minato replied.

He scanned his surroundings, but there were no Flying Thunder God Marks within his range. He was certain he was no longer in his own world.

This was likely the Limited Tsukuyomi from the movie, though not exactly the same. The Limited Tsukuyomi was a Genjutsu released by Uchiha Obito after obtaining seven Tailed Beasts, using their combined Chakra to create a real-world illusion and trap the target within it.

During the ritual, seven tomoe would appear in the crystal ball.

But the crystal ball worn by the black-robed figure bore a pattern resembling a dragon or a snake—
