"The title of Minato, the Yellow Flash, is renowned throughout the Shinobi World. It's even said that if you encounter the Yellow Flash, abandoning your mission won't count as a failure."
Sarutobi Hiruzen shook his head helplessly. "You're still young, and I doubt you can fully understand this yet—"
"The Yellow Flash? Who isn't?"
Minato let out a barely perceptible scoff. "Never mind. It is what it is. After all, this isn't my world. I just came to see Naruto and teach him some basic self-defense ninjutsu, to prevent his Will of Fire from burning too fiercely and getting him sold out in the future."
Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression darkened. He had never seen Minato act so forcefully.
While he knew he was in the wrong, this Minato was unlike the one he knew. He was beginning to doubt the visitor's true identity.
"Even if you are Minato, you're still a visitor from another world. Would you cooperate with an investigation?"
"Do you think that's likely?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen's reaction was exactly as Minato had expected.
Of course, he had no intention of agreeing.
In his world, Sarutobi Hiruzen was still in his prime. Though a pacifist, he wasn't yet the utterly compromised figure he had become in this one.
Compared to his counterpart, the Sarutobi Hiruzen of this world was an old man, and the Konoha F4 had long since rotted to the core.
"At the very least, you must prove to me that you are truly Namikaze Qiumen, not some imposter with ulterior motives."
Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression was grave. "To this world, you are ultimately an outsider. Simply verifying your identity shouldn't be too much to ask, should it?"
"Very well, let's do it here."
Minato withdrew a three-pronged kunai from his Ninja Tool Pouch, hooking his index finger through the ring at the end and casually flicking it. "Will you verify it personally, Third Hokage?"
"Allow me to handle this, Third Hokage."
Before Sarutobi Hiruzen could respond, a white-haired Anbu appeared beside him and requested.
The man had striking white hair, a tall, upright stature, and a Three-Tomoe Sharingan visible beneath his mask.
Kakashi...
Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded, understanding why the man had volunteered.
He then nodded. "Very well, the matter is yours."
With that, he retreated to a distance. Kakashi turned to face Minato, his eyes behind the mask filled with complexity.
He wasn't sure what this Minato was all about—whether they were real or fake. If they were real, that would be wonderful.
But if they were fake, he would never allow someone to impersonate his Teacher and deceive the Teacher's child with it.
"Ready?"
Minato tilted their head slightly.
"Proceed."
Kakashi nodded. As soon as he finished speaking, he saw Minato casually flick their wrist.
Whoosh!
A Flying Thunder God Kunai shot through the air.
Kakashi instinctively tried to dodge, but Minato formed a hand seal with one hand: "Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique."
Swish—
Countless swish sounds suddenly filled the sky over the Third Training Ground. The single Flying Thunder God Kunai split into two, then four, and in an instant transformed into an innumerable downpour of kunai, obscuring the entire sky!
"That much Chakra—"
Kakashi's pupils contracted. He instantly retreated, rapidly forming hand seals: "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
Boom—
A blazing fireball erupted from his mouth, engulfing all the incoming Three-Pronged Kunai.
As Minato's disciple, he knew his Teacher's combat methods better than anyone.
If those kunai got close, he'd be in serious trouble!
Kakashi stared at Minato with lingering fear, his eyes wide with shock. In the distance, Sarutobi Hiruzen swallowed hard.
As his grand-disciple, Minato's abilities were naturally known to Hiruzen, including the Shuriken Shadow Clone technique and its formidable power.
Yet the power displayed by this otherworld Minato far surpassed his expectations.
To perform such a devastating ninjutsu with a single hand seal—truly worthy of the Fourth Hokage!
Behind the scenes, those secretly observing the scene couldn't help but marvel.
News of Minato's appearance had spread through Konoha like a hurricane the moment he appeared in the streets.
Countless eyes were now fixed on this location: the Hyuga's Byakugan, the Yamanaka's sensory techniques, the Aburame's insects. Every sensory ninjutsu in Konoha had converged on the Third Training Ground.
Each clan could sense the others' surveillance, yet they tacitly pretended ignorance, focusing their full attention on Minato.
Swish!
Minato's figure flickered and instantly appeared before Kakashi, raising a hand and unleashing a Rasengan towards him.
Impossible!
My kunai were already knocked away—
Kakashi's pupils contracted, but his body couldn't react in time. He could only watch helplessly as the Rasengan hurtled towards him.
In the next instant, the Rasengan in Minato's hand vanished. Instead, a palm strike landed squarely on Kakashi's abdomen.
Boom!
Kakashi was sent flying backward, crashing heavily to the ground.
"It seems your attention was entirely focused on the Flying Thunder God Technique," Minato said calmly. "But how could I possibly rely on just one method?"
"Cough—As expected of you, Teacher Minato," Kakashi coughed lightly.
Though no one in the Shinobi World could match Minato's speed in teleportation, Kakashi still felt uneasy without seeing the Flying Thunder God Technique in action. He forced himself to rise to his feet.
Teacher...
Minato let out an almost imperceptible sigh. Though he had some reservations about Kakashi, he couldn't really blame him, considering his mental state after all those late-night Killer Rin sessions.
"Do you want to continue?"
"Please."
Kakashi gripped his kunai, bracing himself.
Without a word, Minato used the Flying Thunder God mark he had left on Kakashi earlier to teleport before him again and kicked him flying.
"This time it's the Flying Thunder God Technique. The one you wanted to see, right?" Minato said calmly.
"I lost," Kakashi replied, rising to his feet and nodding respectfully.
This is truly my Teacher.
Although this small teacher from another world was more aggressive than his own Teacher, it might be due to Naruto.
Minato turned to Sarutobi Hiruzen. "Do we need to continue the verification?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen shook his head and sighed.
He wouldn't be mistaken. That was indeed the Flying Thunder God Technique.
In his world, Minato had only mastered this ninjutsu in his teens. He never imagined that in this parallel world, Minato would have already mastered it at such a young age.
Moreover, his strength was so overwhelming that even without the Flying Thunder God Technique, he could instantly suppress an elite like Kakashi.
And the Rasengan... had it already been created?
"Minato, how old are you?" Sarutobi Hiruzen couldn't help but ask, gazing at the youthful face before him.
"Just over a month until I turn nine after the New Year," Minato replied with a faint smile. "But I've already been designated as the Fourth Hokage, so you don't need to worry about me doing anything to Konoha."
Designated Hokage...
A strange pang of bitterness welled up in Sarutobi Hiruzen's heart.
This Minato was clearly far more exceptional than his own world's Minato. How could the me in another world be so lucky?
