"This is the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique!"
Under Naruto's astonished gaze, Minato dispelled the Shadow Clone.
"The principle is to remove the safety valve that limits chakra consumption in the Shadow Clone Technique, allowing a massive number of clones to be created at once. This is also the source of its danger—if not handled properly, it could lead to fatal chakra depletion."
Multi-Shadow Clone?
Kakashi frowned inwardly.
Is it really wise to teach Naruto this technique so early?
He wasn't worried about chakra consumption—the Jinchūriki couldn't overexert their chakra. His concern lay with the Nine-Tailed Beast's Sealing.
Upon reflection, though, Minato had just exchanged punches with Naruto, and now Naruto could freely manipulate chakra. It seemed Minato might have done something to the Sealing or the Nine-Tailed Beast itself.
Truly worthy of being called Teacher Minato...
Kakashi couldn't help but marvel inwardly. Still, marveling aside, he knew he had to report this.
Meanwhile, in the Hokage's Office...
Sarutobi Hiruzen watched Minato teaching Naruto cultivation through the Crystal Ball, his expression complex.
"Send for Jiraiya. Tell him to return immediately."
"Yes, sir!"
The Anbu ninja had barely left when there was a knock at the door.
The door opened to reveal two stern-faced advisors entering the room, followed by an elderly man with a sinister aura, leaning on a cane.
This was none other than Shimura Danzo.
"Hiruzen, we've heard about this Namikaze Minato. What exactly is going on?" Utatane Koharu asked urgently as soon as she entered.
"A parallel-world counterpart, understandable?" Hiruzen explained, as if he had anticipated their arrival. "I've personally confirmed that the boy possesses both the Flying Thunder God Technique and the Rasengan."
"Could it be that the techniques from the Forbidden Scroll have been leaked?" Mitokado Homura frowned.
"That's not impossible, but the boy uses the Konoha Steel Fist Style in his Taijutsu and can perform Shuriken Shadow Clones. He easily defeated Kakashi, an elite ninja, and is even more skilled than our world's original Minato."
Sarutobi Hiruzen tapped his fingertips lightly on the table. "Put yourselves in my shoes. Would you risk sending a subordinate with such talent on a reckless, meaningless mission?"
The two advisors fell silent.
He wasn't wrong.
Who would be willing to send someone with such talent and power out on a dangerous mission?
Who would dare have the heir apparent to the Kage position perform such a task?
"So you just let him meet the Nine-Tailed Jinchūriki?" Shimura Danzo suddenly spoke from behind them.
"Well—no matter what, that's still Minato," Hiruzen nodded.
"It's another world's Minato!" Danzo corrected. "What if his goal is to bring the Nine-Tailed Jinchūriki to his world? What then?"
"Then you tell me how to deal with someone who wields the Flying Thunder God Technique," Hiruzen retorted, glancing at Danzo. "If he intended to do that, why would he make such a grand entrance here?"
Danzo scoffed. "Perhaps he needs certain conditions to be met first?"
"That's not beyond the realm of possibility."
Mitokado Homura nodded, rubbing his chin as he watched the scene unfold within the Crystal Ball. "Still... this is Namikaze Minato we're talking about—the ninja hailed as the most perfect in history. And this parallel world's Minato seems even more exceptional than ours. Logically, I don't want to suspect him of anything."
"I've already sent someone to fetch Jiraiya back," Hiruzen said, nodding in agreement with Homura's words.
"As Minato's teacher, Jiraiya should be better equipped to negotiate with him. We might be able to obtain more information that way."
"It seems the Nine-Tailed Jinchūriki's treatment has deeply angered Minato," Utatane Koharu sighed. "Very well. We'll proceed as you suggest."
"There's one more thing..." Hiruzen rubbed his temples. "Regarding Uzumaki Naruto's identity, I'm wondering whether we should make it public. Given Minato's attitude, he clearly has no intention of concealing his identity."
"If the truth gets out, it could severely undermine the public's trust in our leadership."
"Absolutely not, Hiruzen!" Shimura Danzo interjected urgently. "Regardless of his claims, this outsider is not the Nine-Tailed Jinchūriki's true father. He has no right to interfere in matters concerning the Jinchūriki."
"Have you considered what will happen if the Nine-Tailed Jinchūriki masters the Flying Thunder God Technique? We'll lose all control over the Jinchūriki!"
"That's indeed a problem."
Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura exchanged glances, nodding in agreement.
Naruto was Minato's son, after all. Even if his talent fell short, no one was willing to gamble on that slim possibility.
"Hiruzen, leave this matter to me," Shimura Danzo said calmly. "After all, the Nine-Tailed Beast belongs to Konoha. How can we allow an outsider to interfere so easily?"
"Are you confident you can counter the Flying Thunder God Technique?" Sarutobi Hiruzen frowned deeply.
"It's just Space-Time Ninjutsu. Though troublesome, it's far from invincible."
Danzo's tone was arrogant. Before the annihilation of the Uchiha Clan, he might have lacked effective countermeasures. But now, armed with a metaphorical "resurrection coin" in his sleeve and Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, he was swollen with arrogance, his ego bloated beyond measure.
Namikaze Minato was nothing more than a marked-for-death nobody!
The simplest method would be to first use Kotoamatsukami to control him.
Though it would require a cooldown period afterward, using it on someone like Namikaze Minato wouldn't be a loss.
If he could make Namikaze Minato serve his purposes and influence the Nine-Tailed Jinchūriki through him, wouldn't the Hokage position fall into his lap?
"Since Danzo is so confident, let him give it a try," Utatane Koharu suggested after a moment of contemplation. "But this must remain Danzo's personal endeavor. It cannot involve Hiruzen. Even if it fails, we must leave room for reconciliation."
"Hmph, what a pointless precaution," Danzo scoffed, clearly displeased but not outright opposing the idea.
He knew well that if there were no room for compromise, the two Advisors would never have allowed him to act recklessly.
"Then I entrust this matter to you," Sarutobi Hiruzen said after a thoughtful pause. Though he felt uneasy about it, this parallel world's Minato was indeed an unpredictable variable.
Though he felt a twinge of guilt, since Danzo was willing to take the blame, Hiruzen couldn't object.
Even if it failed, as Jiraiya's teacher, his connection to Jiraiya might provide some leeway.
But—
Even I, the Hokage, can't guarantee capturing Minato. Where does Danzo get such confidence?
For some reason, he had the nagging suspicion that Minato was far more complex than he appeared.
Take that technique from earlier—it wasn't the Flying Thunder God Technique, yet it was so swift he barely had time to react—
Danzo's willingness to wade into this murky situation was, in fact, a good thing for Hiruzen.
