When Ewan and Asher Ryder arrived at the patch of hard-packed dirt, a few people who saw them called out in greeting: "Is that you, Asher Ryder? Did you bring your Omega here to shop today?"
The village chief had announced Asher Ryder's union with an Omega quite early on. They were all rather curious about Asher Ryder's Omega, after all, not everyone had met Ewan yet. A union without a celebratory banquet was not uncommon in their village, especially with winter drawing so near. Usually, people waited until spring to host a feast.
For poorer households, they might even wait until the birth of their first child to throw a party all at once.
Seeing the fair and pretty Omega being led by Asher Ryder, a few older women could not help but click their tongues and tease him: "Asher Ryder really has some skills, just look at how beautiful this Omega is."
